BACKGROUND : Yu was only a year old when his parents moved to Korea. At the time, both his parents couldn't find a job in Tokyo and couldn't support two young boys so they decided to move to Korea to try and find jobs. Yu grew up speaking Japanese at home and Korean at school because his parents didn't catch onto the language as well. Yu's older brother tried to help around the house and with Yu as much as he could. Yu never knew what he wanted to be when he was younger. He tried to be so many things that he just ended up with a handful of talents but no passions. It wasn't until he was out running one day that he saw a dance studio. Excited by the thought of a new challenge Yu quickly saved up to get lessons and the rest is history. Yu began working really hard to learn to dance. Yu doesn't do anything slowly and this is no different. He quickly fell in love with dance before being scouted a few years later for a company. His parents were excited that he got into such a well paying job but his brother was a bit apprehensive. He was worried for his brother's health and being alone by himself. His brother was also worried about how he'd be able to support his parents but Yu reassured him that everything would be fine.

PERSONALITY : Yu is a little devil. He's always moving and tricking the other members. His clever and mischievous personality always seems to get him in trouble but he always manages to weasel his way out of punishments. Yu is never seen without a smile on his face and is always trying to make others happy. His main goal it seems is to please others so he's always trying to make people smile. This is why he gives some of the best fan service. He'll pretty much do whatever a fan asks and sometimes go even a step further. He's loves teasing them just as much as he loves teasing his group mates. Yu is constantly trying to trick his other members even if they get mad. Yu considers himself the second most flirtatious member (only cause no one can beat Eros) and flirts with everything he thinks is beautiful (which is a lot of things). But in the end Yu is very kind to everyone he meets. He's always trying to look out for his members no matter what. He'll go to great lengths just to see them smile if they're feeling down. Yu himself never seems to get affected by anything and always goes with the flow. He takes everything in stride and hardly is down on himself. Yu is extremely confident in everything he does but he's still human so he has those days when he doesn't feel the best and when he does he usually just locks himself in the dance room and practices. For such a carefree guy he's actually really determined when it comes to dancing. He'll work for long hours to try and perfect a dance. Then he'll make sure the others get it just right so the whole thing will flow. Yu hardly ever gets mad but when he does it's always for a good reason (in his eyes). If anyone messes with someone he cares about you can expect some misfortune to occur to the person before the day is done. Yu is the type of person who laughs full out at the smallest things. But to be completely honest, Yu is a man who can do both. On stage Yu is extremely charismatic and his energy just flows into the music giving it a whole new feel to it that just makes people want to dance. He can dip into a sexy persona whenever he pleases and boy does it please.

HOW THEY MET : They met at an awards show that they were both performing at. Yu was casually walking out of the bathroom when he accidentally walked into the shorter boy. At first he was too shocked to say anything as DK smiled brightly at him and asked if he was apart of the new group. Yu uncharacteristically tripped over his words and looked like a goldfish while DK looked at him in concern. "Hey, are you ok?" DK asked politely which snapped Yu out of his trance and into his normal talkitive mood.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS :
YU:; Yu saw DK for the first time when he was watching Seventeen's performance at the Asian Artists Awards in 2016. He thought they were all really adorable and talented (and if he's being honest he may have been really attracted to S.Coups and his rapping in the beginning). At first, he didn't think much of DK and just thought that his voice was really pretty but then the cameras did a closeup of him during his solo with Seungkwan at the end of Pretty U and Yu thought, 'This is what it feels like to stare into the sun' before his mind went completely blank. DK smiled widely at the camera and Yu was absolutely hooked. He didn't even hear the other members teasing him about catching flies as he stared open mouthed at the screen. Yu definitely didn't drool a bit or anything during Very Nice and he swears he's only watched the Pretty U videos a couple times (Read: a couple 100,000).

DK: He didn't know what to think of Yu are first. The boy was so charismatic and energetic on stage that he couldn't help but have a little crush on him. Hoshi and the rest of the performance team were gushing over how good Immortal's choreography was when DK walked in. He peered over their shoulders to see what they were looking at and he curiously watched. He then pointed to one of the dancer's who kept catching his attention and asked the others who it was. "That's Yako," Hoshi huffed in jealousy, "He's their choreographer." DK watched, intrigued by how such a tall man could be so fluid and graceful. DK didn't think much of the other until he accidentally bumped into him on the way to the bathroom. The boy was shocked. He'd known Yu was tall but not nearly a whole half foot taller. Nor did he realize he had such pretty eyes. DK immediately brightened and turned on his charm. He thought it was cute how Yu stuttered a bit before going back to his normal self.

HOW YOUR CHARACTER ACTS AROUND THEM :
BEG:; Yu is really outgoing when he first starts hanging out with DK. He's always trying to show off and prove himself or make himself look cool by doing really dumb things. He pretty much just acts like his normal silly self but there is still something there that everyone can plainly see how whipped for DK Yu is. It's obvious in the not so subtle stares, the content want to be close to him, and the long text rants about nothing in particular. Yu tries to text DK as much as he physically can and lights up everytime he sees a text from the other.
MID+END:; Yu is completely in love. He's always talking about him and boasting and going on rants but when he and DK are alone he just likes to bask in his presence because they don't get too see each other much. He'll curl himself around the smaller and not let go. Yu is unusually quiet in these moments because he just wants to memorize DK's voice and soak in his warmth forever.

HOW THEY ACT AROUND YOUR CHARACTER :
BEG:; DK really wanted to be just friends with Yu in the beginning. He was aware of Yu's advances but he didn't really pay them any mind and shrugged them off for Yu's playfulness. It really took him a while to realize he liked the other. By the time he realized he liked Yu he was already so far in. He just accepted it. DK always goes along with Yu's mischief and is usually his "get away driver". He acts the same around Yu as with the others but there's a bit more fondness to his gazes.
MID+END:; DK is apprehensive. He knows that relationships can be the end of idols careers and he doesn't want that to happen. But he is also hopeful. He's hopeful things will work out and that he'll be able to keep his job and Yu. DK is always Skyping Yu to give him a check up of how he's doing. DK is a bit more calm with Yu. They don't get to see each other much so he prefers to take in as much of Yu as he can before he leaves again. They still have their fun together but it's also nice to just relax in each other's companies.
