  1. DevCongress will be hosting its 9th meetup of software developers on Saturday, 21 July at Marriott Hotel in Accra. Dubbed DevCongress V9, the event will host about 150 professionals and enthusiasts of the ICT industry, mainly to dissect the topic "Setting up for success."

  3. Consistently hosting meet ups since September 2016, the focus of these events has been to empower software developers to grow in their trade, one of the core tenets of the DevCongress community. This Saturday's session will start at 1pm and last 4 hours.

  5. There will be three talks presented by seasoned software developers, on related but diverse topics related to software craftsmanship. All three topics are outlined below.

  7. Eunice Obugyei - Why Kotlin?
  8. Author of Learning Kotlin by Building Android Applications and a powerhouse of a developer at DreamOval. Eunice will talk us through why she uses Kotlin and why we probably should too.

  10. Edem Kumodzi - CV Writing Tips for Developers
  11. Edem will talk us through some CV writing tips for developers as these are some of the skills we should have in our field. Edem has experience as a software engineer, previous with ThoughtWorks and now at Andela.

  13. Williams Adu - The road to becoming a successful dev
  14. Enterprise demand for skilled developers continues to grow, and certain positions—such as front-end, full stack, and mobile developers--are hard to fill but very much in demand. Despite loving the destination, we all want to know enjoy walking on the road as well as grow to be called Senior Engineers/Developers. What has helped others to be successful and continue to have success? What were their challenges and how did they overcome them? What is the framework? We will go a ride exploring this all.
