  1. So, a new techniques system was briefly discussed in another topic. Since so many ideas tend to get nitpicked to death before they're even formed, I decided to give this one a chance, by backing off and letting it slip from people's minds while I work on getting something more definite. And here it is.
  2.
  3. STARTING TECHNIQUES: You get 3 universal techniques to start with. These can be used for pretty anything.
  4.
  5. 'RESONANCE SKILLS': You recieve an amount of free techs based on your skill with your ability. These techniques can ONLY be used for your ability.
  6.
  7. Beginner:1 tech
  8. Basic:2 techs
  9. Intermediate:3
  10. Advanced:5
  11. Master:7
  12.
  13. These numbers are the TOTAL techs at that level.
  14.
  15. WEAPONRY SKILLS: This includes Hakuda, Accuracy, Seele Schnieder, and other similar skills.
  16.
  17. Beginner: Gain Beginner ranked technique
  18. Basic: That technique now qualifies as Basic
  19. Intermediate: That technique now qualifies as an intermediate technique.
  20. Advanced: Gain an Advanced technique.
  21. Master: Gain a master level technique.
  22.
  23. The difference between beginner, basic, intermediate, advanced, and master is a bit fluctuating, but in general a beginner technique will be extremely simple, and pretty much only using the weapon. A basic or intermediate technique might enhance it with reiryoku somehow, whereas advanced and master level ones could even combine skills together to create devastatingly effectiive techniques.
  24.
  25. 'KIDO' SKILLS: These are skills such as Kido (duh), Ginto, Universal fullbring, and Cero/Bala. They ALL need to be handled individually. Kido and Ginto grant a set number of kido and ginto, Cero/Bala gran cero and bala, and Universal Fullbring grants free techs.
  26.
  27. Now lets apply this. Captain leveled shinigami character. Spends 1750 GP to get 200 SP. That leaves them with 1250 to apply to skills. They spend 400 on advanced Zanpakuto Resonance, 400 on advanced Zanjutsu, 200 on intermediate hakuda, 60 on Shunpo, 60 on reiatsu perception, and 60 on kidou. They would then have 3 universal techniques, 5 techniques that could ONLY be used for Resonance, and 1 Intermediate level Hakuda technique.
  28.
  29. TECHNIQUE PRICES: Now with this system we'd need to modify technique prices as well, else this would just be a technique flood. I've redone the chart here to balance it more.
  30.
  31. 1-3: free
  32. 4-5: 100GP
  33. 6-7: 200GP
  34. 8-9: 300GP
  35. 10-11: 400GP
  36. 12+: 500GP
