every kingdom needs a princess~ As a child, Eunjin’s life was carefree and everything was handed to her on a silver platter. Being the only child of the Kwon’s, Eunjin was extremely pampered by her father - if she wanted chocolates, her dad’s assistant would personally fly to Belgium and bring back only the most decadent sweets for her. The same amount of love couldn't be said for her mother however who spent her time meeting up with other socialites.

a princess grows to be a queen~ When she grew older, Eunjin learnt the reality of life as a spoilt rich kid. She was expected to take over the family business as soon as she turned 21. Eunjin started to question the life she would lead when she noticed the absent time periods her dad had from home and the constantly stressed facial expressions he had. Eunjin didn't want to continue the family business and she made that very clear once she hit her teen years. Eunjin got into various arguments with her father over the situation and her other dreams.

banished by the king~ Eunjin’s father; Dongbin is the co-owner of Seoul’s top luxury hotel, Kwong Palace Hotel. His long-term best friend and business partner; Jung Sunghoon was the other half of the hotel’s brain. The hotel is an amalgamation of their surnames, Kwon and Jung, thus creating ‘Kwong’. Their 4.5 star rated, 50 story-high hotel was established 50 years ago by Dongbin’s and Sunghoon’s father, thus making it a 2nd generation family business. Carrying on the tradition, Eunjin was expected to inherit the role of co-owner along with Sunghoon’s only son once they both turned 21, but Eunjin resisted. When she told her father that music was her passion and that she wished to pursue a career in it, he laughed in her face before realising Eunjin was being serious. Arguing for 2 hours straight, the Kwon’s penthouse was rumbling from the volume that was being yelled back and forth by father and daughter. Ultimately, Eunjin left the family penthouse that was on the top floor of Kwong Palace Hotel along with the Jung family’s residence, and moved into a suite room by herself on the 49th floor and has been residing there alone since 2014.

what can i get you today~ Although living separate from her family, Eunjin attended the high school her parents had in mind; Joongdong High School - one of South Korea’s most prestigious schools. However after completing her 1st year, Eunjin sweet-talked her grandfather into transferring her to SOPA where she would be able to study music. Additionally, Eunjin started working at Kang Towers as a waitress in 2016, during her last year in high school, to annoy her dad but also to provide for her own musical education seeing as though her father disapproved of her dreams and she felt bad for relying on her grandfather. Kang Towers is considered an upper middle class hotel but of course that wasn't enough for her parents. How would they look when press see that a Kwong Palace heir is working as a waitress in such a measly place that couldn’t house big-name celebrities or own 87 pure crystal chandeliers. Graduated in February 2017 from the Department of Practical Music.

Positive: A boss ass bitch, Eunjin couldn’t care less about what others think about her. She will act and speak in a manner that she pleases, unafraid of the criticism that she might coming from others. She does things her own way and doesn’t consider the opinion of other people before she does something. Even when people are openly pointing and staring at her, Eunjin will hold her head high, push her shoulders back and continue to strut down the corridor unphased. You know that one crazy kid in the group of friends that suggests skydiving out of nowhere? Yeah, that’s Eunjin for you. With her words, attitude, and demeanor, Eunjin is a bold and striking character you can’t miss. Unaffected by rules or consequences, she is daring and her courage tends to get her into sticky situations which her nicer friends need to sweet-talk their way out of. On a daily basis, Julius Caesar would butt into one of Eunjin’s heated conversations with a customer, awkwardly laughing while trying to calm both parties down before the manager walks in. Whether it be her height, visuals or aura, Eunjin can effortlessly have the eyes of everyone in the room on her. There have been various occasions where Eunjin waltzed from one table to another, taking orders or handing out food. What she failed to notice however were all the male customers following her every move with heart eyes, as if they’ve seen an angel. One of Eunjin’s best traits is her ability to quickly adapt to new things - whether they be a new environment or learning a new skill, Eunjin is able to naturally pick it up. This was what possibly started her musical journey. Eunjin had known since she was 10 that she didn’t want to spend her life managing a hotel but it wasn’t until after she moved into her own suite did Eunjin set her sights on music. In a matter of 6 months, Eunjin was composing songs with the help of her acoustic guitar. After the countless fights she’s had with her parents, Eunjin has learnt to bounce back from all setbacks and has developed to now a strong, independent young woman who doesn’t need anyone (unless it’s laundry because she still doesn’t know how to use that damn machine tbh).

Negative: Although almost 20 years old, Eunjin hasn’t left behind her rebellious attitude towards life in general. If something goes against her opinion, she won’t hesitate to fight back. Hates being controlled or restricted since she grew up doing whatever she wanted and that perspective continues with her today. To be completely honest, Eunjin was hired on the spot thanks to her looks. Management thought her visuals would attract more customers to the hotel restaurant but they didn’t consider how snarky her persona could actually be. “Is there anything low-fat, low-oil, low-carb on the menu?” “yeah - water”. Eunjin often forgets that not everyone gets her sense of humour and can easily become offended by her choice of words. She says whatever comes to mind without filtering her words, and this is labelled as rude by many people who aren’t used to Eunjin. Ask her on any day of the year, Eunjin would rather stay in bed all day then do anything else. This has resulted in her running late for her waitressing shifts every once in awhile. Having grown up in an affluent household, Eunjin is still trying to get used to doing chores and cleaning up after herself since she’s so used to having maids. While she may not be stupid, there are definitely moments where Eunjin comments on something that makes her friends question her IQ. She can memorise the chords to a song in 10 minutes yet would be the one to ask “if one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the others drown too?”. It’s no secret that Eunjin is a visually blessed girl, and she sure as hell is proud of it. Owns more makeup and skincare products than you can name in all honesty. Once Eunjin makes up her mind, there’s no going back - she change her decision no matter who’s asking. Paired with her stubbornness is a short-fuse. Eunjin’s temper is extremely short and easy to set off if you get on her bad side. It’s not exactly ideal when she’s dealing with needy customers 24/7 but Eunjin has a feisty habit of getting into verbal fights with rude people thanks to her impulsive nature and sharp tongue.

Neutral: Having lived alone for the past 3 years without the emotional support of her parents, Eunjin has grown used to being there for herself even after she’s made friends at the hotel. She upholds her strong personality and hates showing weakness since her father’s words always replay in her mind “winners are impenetrable”. Hasn’t cried in front of another person since she was 9 years old when her cousin wouldn’t give Mr Teddy back. Often speaking without thinking, Eunjin is a nightmare for second grade teachers who teach their students to analyse their choice of words in their head first before sharing them. Eunjin’s witty comments serve as a refreshing humour for the customers who appreciate it but can be quite the opposite for those who are sensitive. Her words can end up hurting people, even her friends at times. Yes there are times when the truth is appreciated but there are also certain moments in life where a white lie would hurt less than the blatant truth. Eunjin definitely doesn’t understand this concept as she’ll let whatever she’s thinking spill out. While her friends have gotten to this quality, it may come as a shock for those who have just met Eunjin. Even though she won’t hesitate to be brutally honest with her words, Eunjin can lie if she wants to. If caught doing something they’d get in trouble for, she would be able to swiftly come up with a fake backstory while her friends are stumbling over their words with wide eyes behind her. Not one person knows about Eunjin’s connections to Kwong Palace and she intends for it to stay that way. While her friends respect her privacy, they all can’t help but feel curious about her life. OPINION ON JOB : Eunjin does genuinely enjoy her waitressing job when she’s serving customers who appreciate her jokes or when her shifts aren’t at 8 am. However, especially with older customers, Eunjin tends to get into verbal fights that usually start when the customer notices her eye roll after they ask her a stupid question like “is there truffle in the truffle oil?”. Julius Caesar (and later, Jaehyun) always manages to get Eunjin out of trouble by calming the customer down before their manager catches her rebellious behaviour or else Eunjin would have been fired long before.
