Her parents were disappointed with how she turned out, really, considering the enhancements and all.  Sure, she was at her peak at all times and could kick ass like nobody's business, but that was her primary interest in life.  She certainly didn't take interest in her mother's military background.\n\nPetty crime seemed like all she'd be good for until finally she got herself shot.  Kim remembers the next while pretty clearly.  First, she had to take the assholes out with her.  Then she had to call emergency services so they knew something had happened.  They told her to hold on, so she did without question.  She finally fell limp when the ambulance arrived, and Kim was nonresponsive but not yet dead.\n\nTo the hospital she went, the drivers telling her they'd be right there as the lights flashed and the sirens wailed.  Kim thought to herself that it would be a bit impolite of her to just up and die on the ambulance techs after all that effort they went through, and she heard the doctor shout \"We need to get her to surgery now!\"\n\nWhen she woke up on the hospital table with a fresh new scar, there was a dragonfly resting over her heart, buzzing its wings occasionally.  Since then, Dragonfly has been a persistent hallucination.  Kim's working at her uncle's bar, now, the scariest bouncer Makoto has ever employed.  Her uncle isn't yakuza though.
