[Mekton] UPEO Defender Naval Strike Type

  3. A quick mission modification to the UPEO Defender, making the frame more waterproof and equipping it with hydrojets in the legs to allow underwater mobility. Very little of the Defender's armament was changed or removed, retaining the standard submachine gun, Panzerfaust missiles and beam saber.

  5. While most of the Defender's basic armament was retained, the loss of the shield has lowered its defensive capabilities in close combat. To accomodate the hydrojets, the Panzerfaust missile launchers were relocated to the arms. The backup sensor equipment in the torso was then disconnected and removed, its circuitry rerouted and used instead for the underwater sensor equipment installed in the head.

  7. This hastily modified Defender was employed in a UPEO assault on a Neucom installation built on top of an oil rig. Although facing heavy resistance from new-model Neucom mecha and heavily armored automated turrets, the Naval Strike Type managed to acquit itself almost as well as the standard model.
