I am most active at 3:45 - 11:00 on weekdays (Monday - afternoon on Friday) And on the week end I can dedicate all the time I can to Mineplex which is usually about 8 hours per day on a weekend (After 3:45 on Friday - Sunday)

How long have you been playing on Mineplex for?
I have been playing on the Mineplex network for two years now. I have been actively around Mineplex’s in game community for around 6 months now. I usually play about 3 hours of Mineplex a day (Usually my minimum). I joined Mineplex on December 2014, originally playing on my older brother’s Minecraft account. Recently marked the date of my first join on the server back in December two years ago. Since then, I started playing during the summer on my own Minecraft account. I bought the Legend rank during the summer to support Mineplex and to get the great rewards that came along with it. Though school started for me in August, I was still becoming more active with Mineplex, learning about Trainee, the Staff and the community.

What game do you most actively play?
I actively play Mineplex SG, and Gladiators. I usually find a lot of hackers on Gladiators and some here and there on SG, however I have tried to record hackers for valid evidence of their wrong doing, but my computer somehow corrupts the file after trying to save it. (I am getting this fixed hopefully very soon!) I do play the Bridges quite a lot, and turf wars. However, I would not consider myself actively on them, although I do play them daily. With Gladiators and SG, I do get involved with players, talking to them, asking them how their day is going, just having a conversation before the game. I answer questions that any players may have at any time, whether it be during game, pre-game, or even in lobby and we are just all chatting and talking to each other. I always try to helper players in the games I actively play to help them either, better understand the game, or help them with any questions that they have about the server or how things work on the server.
Which areas of the Mineplex network do you enjoy the most?
The areas of the Mineplex network I enjoy the most are. Well on Mineplex’s server I enjoy the arcade games most, I find that they are always a ton of fun to play alone, and even better to form a party and just have a fun arcade session with friends! It’s always a blast and I always meet new and fun people on Mineplex in the arcade games. Forum wise for the Mineplex network, I enjoy putting input on threads on which I have a constructive view on to help the person who made the thread, I love keeping away from any negativity on the forums since I’d find that the forums is a lot more fun and enjoyable to post, and read on without any negativity. I enjoy posting on forum members walls and making friends on the forums. As for team speak, I don’t use it often. I have used it with my friends a few times and have attended the Trainee Acceptance Parties, (which are very fun and enjoyable) but otherwise I do not use Team speak often, I still enjoy it though.

What has motivated you to apply for a staff position at Mineplex?
What has truly motivated me to apply for Mineplex Trainee is for multiple reasons. The first reason I have is; I want to help the Mineplex network with the knowledge I have, especially my experience with moderating in the past, and playing Mineplex can be highly beneficial to players and even Mineplex’s staff team. I have found a true interest in the Mineplex network since July of last year. I have started actively playing Mineplex because I have found/made friends with many players making my time on Mineplex more enjoyable as I continue to create and share friendships. The second reason I was motivated to apply for Trainee at Mineplex is because of the community. I believe this is the most important part to a server. Yes, plugins, data, and fancy games and updates are very important to servers/networks especially Mineplex, but the community is what makes up Mineplex. The community is what makes Mineplex create all these plugins, expand data, and create fun and loveable games and updates that everyone enjoys! I love Mineplex’s community more than any other server, Mineplex’s community is nice, kind, sharing, open, welcoming, fun, passionate, and many other great and wonderful things. I love being a part of Mineplex’s community and I would love and be honored to help further and develop Mineplex’s community by being a helping hand with, reports, mutes, bans, and just helping players out who need help. No matter what kind of help they would need I would try and do my best to help them, either it be on the forums or the server itself. One of the smaller reasons which has motivated me to apply for Mineplex Trainee is my experience in moderating. Currently I am the Head-Staff for small factions server that the owner is developing, there are already a few players that play, it is a small server and the staff team is small but it is worth noting. No matter how small or big the network or server is, you always have to try your best to help improve and further the staff and player base as much as you can. I have experienced this with having the task of managing the staff for this server.

What interactions have you had with our staff team in the past?
Punishment wise I have never had an interaction with a staff because I have never had to be punished on Mineplex network. Except for being perm muted due to a scamming pandemic that happened and is still happening on the Mineplex network. I will talk about it later on. As far as talking to staff and having a conversation, I was able to befriend a moderator named WillFunkyTown, I met him playing gladiators and I decided to strike up a conversation in chat and slowly starting talking with him more and more. I have also befriended A_Y_Y_Y_L_M_A_O_ like many others. I find his personality wonderful and an all-around wonderful person to talk to, same as Will. I have also had an interaction with an SR.MOD by the name of HOME_Slice and I ended up finding him in gladiators as well and befriending him too by just having a conversation and having fun. :D
Have you received any punishments at Mineplex, or any other server?
Sadly, I have received a false punishment on Mineplex. I was permanently muted for ‘scamming’. However, there has been a long known scamming pandemic on Mineplex and I was able to prove my innocence and gained my access to talk again. This occurred in around July of last year. As far as other servers go I haven’t been muted or received further punishments from that, I have been falsely muted before but once again I was able to prove I did nothing wrong and gained my ability to talk in chat again. Other than those two occurrences no other punishments have been given to me.

Why should we choose you to become a Trainee?
I think you should choose me to be a Mineplex Trainee for a few reasons I have. Reason 1: I think you should choose me because of my experience with moderating and dealing with players. I used to be a staff member on a server called Foxcraft which averages 400+ players daily. I moderated the chat and did hacker reports. I was there for around 2+ months. I left the server late November because I wanted to move on and further my moderating experiences to other servers and gain more experience trying to get staff or helper on a bigger network such as Mineplex. I have had extensive training with moderating servers such as Foxcraft and a few smaller servers. I was an admin on a pixelmon server last August. I managed the staff team and helped out with the server. It averaged round 90+ players a day. I am currently the staff manager for another small server that a friend I know has. It is a very small server but no matter how small the server may be it still needs as much professionalism as a server with 1000+ players. Reason 2: The second reason I have is my experience on Mineplex. I believe anyone applying on a server team such as Mineplex should have at least 4-5 months of getting to know the server and how it works. I have had 2 and 1/2 years+ playing Mineplex and getting to know how everything works on the network. From the forums, TeamSpeak, and the server itself to getting to know the players and staff team. I have been getting to know the Mineplex server and forums as much as I possibly can, getting on each for at least 1 hour every day. I have formed a connection to the Mineplex community on the server and on the forums as well, I do not use the Mineplex TeamSpeak all that often. However, I do use it from time to time when I go on it with a few of my friends and play. Reason 3: The third reason I have for why you should choose me to be a Mineplex Trainee is because my wanting to help the Mineplex community. Over the past years of playing Mineplex often I have started to develop a love for Mineplex and its community. Mineplex’s community is honestly my favorite community out of any Minecraft server. I enjoy Mineplex on the forums and especially on the server, I have been wanting to be a part of the Mineplex Trainee team since July of 2015. Since this love of the Mineplex community and server arose I have strived to help out anyone on Mineplex I possibly could whether it be answering their questions about staff or anything on the server to just helping them in game and help them learn more about Mineplex itself. I enjoy helping anyone I possibly can. Especially on Mineplex because I strive to make that community better and better. Reason 4: The forth reason I have is the style of how I moderate and handle situations. The way I find moderating on any server is to handle every situation with complete professionalism no matter what situation it is. Either it be a hacker, verbal abuse, or exploits of any glitch. I handle it quick and professional.

In what ways could you positively contribute to the community?
Ways in which I can positively contribute to the community are: I can help players with any questions they may have. I find that answering questions that the player may have is a high priority, because informing the player and helping them understand whatever they may be in need of will enhance their knowledge of the server and prevent them from making mistakes and even enjoying the server more because they know how things work and how to do things efficiently. I can also help contribute to the community is by being kind friendly and open to any suggestions or questions anyone may have for me whether it be the staff team or players. Being kind and respectful to everyone is a thing I enjoy doing. I treat people the way I would like to be treated, by being fun, caring and especially respectful. I believe being respectful and kind to players at all time is very important for a staff member because just that one staff member being negative rude, or kind, respectful, and positive will influence the way a player views a server, or it’s forums. For the good and or the bad. So being positive and respectful is something I always keep in mind while talking to players and helping them. Another way I could positively contribute to the community is my style of moderating. Preferably I moderate with talking to players and having conversations and answering player’s questions while keeping on the lookout for rule breakers, hackers, and or any other issues I would have to deal with while being a part of the Mineplex Trainee team.
What experiences do you have with moderating a community or game?
Overall I would say I have around 2 years of moderating experience under my belt. Starting from being an admin on a pixelmon server, being a admin on there for around a year due to the server shutdown, to being a moderator for an old prison server in early 2014 for 9 months to the server’s end in November of 2014. I became a staff on a server by the name of Foxcraft in November of 2015, and left December to see if I could find a staff team that suits me more and one that I would feel welcome on. I have moderated a variety of community’s ranging from a mod based community like pixelmon, to a small server, all the way to a server that averaged 400+ players per day. I enjoy moderating servers I care about because I love to help out in any way, shape or form that I can. I have had to deal with many situations in the past while being on my moderating duties.  I have had to deal with, racism, attack on any religious opinions and differences, plenty of vulgarity, and hackers and basic server rule breakers. When I find myself in any of these situations I try my absolute best to take care of whatever is wrong without hurting the person who is breaking the rule, the person being offended and especially the server or community.

If accepted, what are the top 3 goals which you would aim to complete during your time as a staff member?
If accepted my top 3 goals are:
Goal #1: To make as much as a positive impact as I can. The first goal of mine if I make Mineplex Trainee is I want to make a positive impact on the forums and server. I mainly want to make a positive impact on the forums because everyone can get in contact with me there on my forum wall or by private messaging me. I always like to keep things positive on my forum wall because no one wants to just get on one day and just be blasted with negativity. I love to make people smile and feel happy and if I can do that to 100 people, 10 people, or even 1 person, I will feel accomplished for the fact that I helped someone in a community in which I care so much about. I strive to do this currently as I am not Trainee and if I were to get Trainee this goal of mine will not change what so ever. I will always try to leave a positive vibe everywhere I go on Mineplex, on the server itself, forums or even TeamSpeak.
Goal #2: To help out anyone in need. The second goal of mine if I make Mineplex Trainee focuses on something that I believe for sure anyone can do even without the Trainee rank. This is helping players within the community. Helping players in the community on the forums, server, or TeamSpeak is very, very important because helping players understand how things work or run on the server will help them avoid making mistakes in which could get them banned, muted, or any form of punishment. I always try my best to help players in game to the best of my ability because it is where I spend the most time on the Mineplex network. So if I can help inform a player of how the staff system works, the general rules, and or how any particular game on Mineplex works then I am always more than glad to do so because I love to help out to inform any players to make them feel welcome in the Mineplex community, whether they brand new, or have been player for years, I always try to make player feel comfortable talking to me and welcome into the Mineplex community.
Goal #3: To do my job to the best of my ability. Last but not least my third goal I have if I were to be accepted as a Mineplex Trainee is to do my Trainee job to the best of my ability every time I get on the forums, server, or TeamSpeak. I will have a task every time I got on the Mineplex server, forums, and TeamSpeak, this task is to do my job. To complete it to the best of my ability, this includes helping players, informing players, and doing my moderating job as a Mineplex Trainee. I will always try to do my job to the best of my ability because if you don’t give something your all then you do want it enough do it or have it, and Mineplex Trainee is something I want to put my all into, I strive to help the server as a regular player and I would love to be able to help out with the Trainee rank. Giving a job your all shows you care enough to receive the job, and this job is something I am more than willing to put 110% in.

I would like to add a bit about myself. My name is Patrick I am 15 years of age, my birthday is June 14, 2000. I was born in Miami Florida, I moved to North Carolina at the age of 7 and have been living there ever since. I enjoy listening to music at anytime and anywhere I go. I like hanging out with friends, playing video games, and skateboarding. My favorite part of Miami is Coconut Grove and Deco drive.
