  1. Poisons
  2.
  3. In addition to the standard poison, the following poisons can be created, but are not for sale anywhere.
  4. Craft (Poisonmaking) can create these poisons with the appropriate materials. Instead of set DCs,
  5. the DC check for these poisons is equal to
  6.
  7. DC 5 + 1/3 Craft (Poisonmaking) check + Poison's base DC.
  8. Craft bonus to DC is rounded down.
  9.
  10. Additionally, different poisons have different times lengths of time before their secondary effects occur.
  11. Most are rapid, but some may take days. Some poisons also have nature cures that grant a +3 bonus on their save.
  12. This +3 bonus only affects secondary saving throws.
  13.
  14. Example Poison
  15. -Type: The way that this poison is applied to its victims
  16. -Base DC: Use this to calculate the DC save of the poison
  17. -Craft DC: How high of a craft (poisonmaking) check you need to create this poison
  18. -Initial Damage: What type of damage this poison deals initially upon contact
  19. -Secondary Damage: The poison's main payload. This effect can recurr, or only occur once.
  20. -Delay: How long it takes for the secondary effect to occur the first time. In the case of recurring poisons, use the recurrance time after secondary effect first occurs. Recurring poisons last until cured.
  21. -Recurring: Recurring poisons offer a saving throw on their secondary effects. If the victim fails his saving throw, the poison deals its secondary damage. The effect reccurs until either a limited number of recurrances is reached, or the victim makes two consecutive saving throws.
  22. -Natural Cure: If a specific poison has a natural cure, it may be used to aid the victim in their saving throw.
  23. -Crafted From: The type of plant the poison is made from and how much it costs to obtain a suitable ammount for one dose.
  24. -Description: Fluff about the poison. Optional.

  181. -Recurring: No
  182. -Natural Cure: None
  183. -Crafted From: Green Dragon Breath Glands (Find Only)
  184. -Decription: Last Breath is an incredibly rare, potent, and difficult to craft poison. Many would-be
  185. poisoners have died in the crafting proccess, and due to the rarity of it's components, it has seen
  186. very little use. That is fortunate, for Last Breath, when inhaled, is virtually always instantaneously
  187. deadly. Victims poisoned with Last Breath often are found to have had their innards melted into goo.
  188.

  190. -Type: Injury
  191. -Base DC: N/A

  199. -Description: Not a poison in the traditional sense, Heartseeker poison is the shards of a weapon that
  200. had been imbued with acid and ground up into tiny pieces. Small amounts of the acid enchantment lingers,
  201. and can expell it's charge once deposited within an opponent. It is applied to a blade like a traditional
  202. poison, and may only strike once.
  203.
  204. Winter's Breath
  205. -Type: Inhaled
  206. -Base DC: 13

  215. Applying Winter's Breath to someone poisoned with Flame's Kiss acts as an anti-toxin, and cures the
  216. victim.
  217.
  218. Flame's Kiss
  219. -Type: Injury
  220. -Base DC: 13
  221. -Craft DC: 24
  222. -Initial Damage: 1d4 Strength

  224. -Delay: 3 Rounds
  225. -Recurring: 3 Rounds
  226. -Natural Cure: Winter's Breath
  227. -Crafted From: Fire Elemental Ash (400 gold)
  228. -Description: Flame's kiss is a strange, elemental poison that burns a victim from the inside. Applying
  229. Flame's Kiss to someone poisoned with Winter's Breath acts as an anti-toxin, and cures the victim.
  230.
  231. Accursed Powder
  232. -Type: Inhaled
  233. -Base DC: 27
  234. -Craft DC: 53
  235. -Initial Damage: Paralysis
  236. -Secondary Damage: Death
  237. -Delay: 1 week
  238. -Recurring: No
  239. -Natural Cure: None
  240. -Crafted From: Lich Dust (Find only)
  241. -Description: The remains of a destroyed lich can be carefully distilled into a deadly powder.
  242. In this powder form, it can be inhaled by an unlucky victim. Victims of accursed powder poisoning
  243. find their bodies instantly paralyzed, and normally die from lack of liquids or dangerous animals
  244. before the poison itself kills them. Victims of accursed powder poisoning appear dead, only a heal check
  245. (DC 30) can determine that they are, in fact, still alive and in need of treatment.
  246.
  247. Neversleep
  248. -Type: Contact
  249. -Base DC: 8
  250. -Craft DC: 21
  251. -Initial Damage: 1 Wisdom
  252. -Secondary Damage: 1 Wisdom and 1 Acid
  253. -Delay: 1 round
  254. -Recurring: Yes, 15 minutes
  255. -Natural Cure: None
  256. -Crafted From: Black Jirranias (125 gold)
  257. -Decription: Named Neversleep as this poison causes a painful, endless burning sensation where it
  258. comes into contact with it's victim. Few are able to rest while the burning remains, and the psychosis
  259. that comes along with the poison typically results in the victim dying before falling asleep ever again.
  260.
  261. Cleansing Hand
  262. -Type: Contact
  263. -Base DC: 5
  264. -Craft DC: 39
  265. -Initial Damage: 1d4 Strength
  266. -Secondary Damage: 1 Constitution, Special (See description)
  267. -Delay: 1 week
  268. -Recurring: Yes, 1 week
  269. -Natural Cure: None
  270. -Crafted From: Mummy Wrappings
  271. -Description: Cleansing Hand is a poison that seems more like a disease. It doesn't kill very quickly, but those
  272. infected with the poison grow large sores that serve as a home for the multiplying magical poison. The
  273. sores ooze more Cleansing Hand poison, and touching a victim often results in additional poisoning.
  274. Because of it's disease-like properties and ability to spread to multiple victims, it is often
  275. treated by healers as a disease. Because spells tend to target either disease or poison, it oft seems
  276. uncureable, and has been known to destroy entire settlements. However, it is very slow-acting and a
  277. knowledgeable healer can quickly eliminate it from a large population.
  278.
  279. Silverblood
  280. -Type: Injury
  281. -Base DC: 17
  282. -Craft DC: 30
  283. -Initial Damage: Special (See description)
  284. -Secondary Damage: Paralysis (See description)
  285. -Delay: 1 round
  286. -Recurring: No
  287. -Natural Cure: Does not function on full moons (See description)
  288. -Crafted From: Belladonna (175 gold) and Silver (800 gold)
  289. -Description: Silverblood is a odd poison crafted with silver and wolfsbane. Unlike most poisons, a poisoner
  290. typically does not have to worry about poisoning himself with Silverblood, as it only affects shapeshifters.
  291. A shapeshifter struck with silverblood is immediately forced back into their normal form, and prevented
  292. from shifting for 24 hours. Shapeshifters with no original form are instead paralyzed for the same duration.
  293. Silverblood is especially effective against lycanthropes, who take a -5 penalty on their save against it.
  294. However, the full moon fuels lycanthropes, granting immunity to Silverblood to Lycanthropes. Vampires,
  295. despite not being the original targets for the Silverblood poison, are subject to it as well (despite immunities),
  296. and it prevents their shapeshifting abilities such as Gaseous Form.
