15| HISTORY
ー As a human, Minsheng was born only a few days after China entered war with Japan. His father (Bolin) died in battle 3 months after Minsheng was born, leaving his mother and older sister to try to support the family. The fact that he grew up without a father was largely blamed for effecting Minsheng's demeanor as he grew. He didn't like playing with other little kids because they were too loud, so he just stayed inside and made his own fun.

 When he was 25, he joined a rebellion against the government of China. His family was strongly against his decision, but he went along with it anyways. In the end, the rebels were defeated, and Minsheng died. One of his comrades was a vampire and wanted to save Minsheng's life and well, you know how that goes.

Minsheng's family mourned for days, until one day he showed up. They rejoiced at first, but then realized he came home changed. They blamed it on the trauma he must have witnessed while fighting and shrugged it off, assuming he'd get over it. But then he started getting violent. To this day Minsheng finds it hard to suppress his instinct, and it stems from the fact that he slaughtered his family as an infant vampire.

Now in his right mind (sorta, ok not really, but sorta), Minsheng is trying to redeem himself. He sees the chance of becoming an idol as an opportunity to bring people happiness instead of pain. Up until becoming a trainee, he spent his days in seclusion (which explains a lot, sheesh). Modern times, especially in South Korea, have really changed Minsheng's perspective on life. Everything fascinates him.

ー He still unfortunately remembers the death of his mother (Chuntao ) and sister (Meifeng) in 1914, and always finds himself wishing they could've grown up together normally.

 ー He's super off (let's forget about having screws loose, okay, he has no screws left at all— they all fell out), but he tries really hard! So basically, he needs to be protected. No one tries though, because they're afraid he bites. They're probably not wrong. Everyone assumes that these accusations just go over his head, however they do get to him, and he wishes he could fit in a little more. He doesn't like try-hard mainstreaming, though, so he's constantly conflicted. He's got a very ethereal aura about him, which is strangely inviting. He wants to be everyone's friend, he really does. He can also enjoy some quality alone time, though, since that's what he's been used to for the entirety of both of his lives.
