- This filter provides sane default settings, and a variety of well-documented alternative rules for straight-forward customization.
- Items are increasingly hidden at higher levels, but the best are always visible, as are rarer niche items. Unique & set items are always shown, as are runewords and crafted items. While relatively few items are displayed at very high levels, not everything that appears will be useful to everyone. Descriptions are included throughout to assist with tailoring the filter to your needs.
- **Features:**
- * Mostly follows classic coloring scheme (it still looks like D2)
- * Non-Equipment more clearly distinguished from Equipment (gems, jewels, charms)
- * unique/set highlighting
- * unique/set items with shared bases or natural sockets show them (unidentified)
- * pseudo-ethereal items (indestructible/self-repairing & eth combo) are shown differently than regular eth items. (unidentified uniques included)
- * dynamic display for high-value vendorable items
- * popular crafting ingredients shown with codified recipes
- * useful magic items such as +3 Warcries "BO sticks" or those with +4 or more skills are highlighted
- * base items useful for runewords are shown
- * rules for crafted and corrupted items
- * identified relics show their tier
- * warning for equipping items after death

- **Examples of other options:**
- * individual names & highlighting for unidentified unique/set items
- * all crafting ingredients with notes for their recipes
- * colorful, eye-catching highlighting
- * item quality (normal, exceptional, elite) for uniques/rares/other items
- * quantity for keys/tomes
- * unwanted vendor items hidden to assist with 'shopping'
- * potentially valuable jewels/charms/arrows/etc can be highlighted
- * items new/changed in Path of Diablo can be highlighted
- * levelling items can be shown

- **Use:**
- 1. Ensure the file is named item.filter.
- 2. Copy it to your *Path of Diablo* folder (C:\\...\Diablo II\Path of Diablo)
- - this can also be done via the Launcher by using the file's location instead of a URL (C:\Users\\...\Downloads\item.filter)
- 3. Enable custom filters with in-game Settings. (bind as a hotkey for easy changes)
