Today I read the news to find myself with yet another new Shadow Matrix.
Suffice it to say this message may not go as you expect.

After a considerable amount of thought, I realized that your appointment
as our guild leader may well be the best thing that has happened to the
Shadowsnakes in a century. I say may, because we all knew, and know, the
risks we take placing our trust in you.

I believe that you have the potential of doing what few Shadow Matrices
have done, which is breathing the true spirit of Shadow back into our
ranks. I believe that you understand what few serpents can about what it
means to be a serpent, and to epitomize what we call "Shadow". I also
believe that you have the tenacity, endurance, and experience to do

things few people could as a house leader.

Quite frankly, I did not think you would choose this path, Jarrel, and I
couldn't be happier that you have. I only ask that you do not let us
down, as I encourage my fellow Shadowsnakes to put their faith in you.
The Shadowsnake have been, and can again be, a terrifyingly powerful
group of individuals.


I hope you're what we've been waiting for, because we've been waiting
for a catalyst for longer than I care to remember. But it'll take more
than a new leader, Snakes, its going to require the effort he asks for.
Ideas like re-forming the Shadowsnake seige/raid team have incredible
potential, but only if you put in the effort to show up consistently and
put in your blood and sweat to make it happen.

With that, I'll bid you my best wishes, Jarrel. Perhaps some other time
we can speak on a more personal level.

ps: Drazik, there never has been, and never will be a day when serpents

are "obsolete".
