ASUS Laptop –  How to Install Linux Mint 18 Mate
	This Basic Installation will format/erase the ENTIRE Drive – See the Advanced Install

		Real Name:		Shannon
	   Computer Name:		ASUS-AZ
		 UserName:		shannon
		   Password:		shannon

I already made these changes in the bios…
	I used ESC while powering up to get the boot choices and option for setting up the bios
		In the bios go to Security and disable Secure Boot
		Find CSM and Enable it, Note, you cant do this before you disable secure boot
		Then where you click on save and exit
				 you can also do a boot to the usb directly from that menu
				 Or hit escape again on boot and select the USB as the boot device

To Install Linux Mint, Start Here...Using a Live Mint OS
A Live OS is one that does not use the systems hard drive.  It simply runs in memory and vanishes when you power down.  It will allow you to read a hard drive on a damaged system and save important files to a second flash drive / memory stick. It is also how you will install a fresh copy of Linux Mint.       Note: Learn to properly eject or remove the usb drives by using right click.

Insert the Mint flash drive in the USB (Blue) Port,   Power up and start tapping ESCAPE
Select the SanDisk USB as the boot device, Not the UEFI SanDisk and hit Enter
		This starts the Live Linux Mint Operating System

Begin by Enable Networking
The network icon in down in the bottom right corner of the screen
Click on it and select your home network and enter your password to your home network.
	There will be a pop-up thats says online/connected

 There is an icon on the desktop that says..    Install Linux Mint,          Double Click on it.

Welcome:
	English is pre-selected – Click on Continue

Preparing to Install Linus Mint:
  – Put check in box to allow installing third party software
 	 Click on Continue

Installation Type:
	Install alongside an existing system
*	Erase everything and Use the entire Hard Drive –  USE THIS OPTION
	Encryption
	LVM
	Something Else

	Click on Install NOW.

Write the changes to the hard drive.
	Warning Blah blah blah
		Click on Continue

Where are You in the World:
	Select the location closest to you.  Phoenix or ?
	Click on Continue

Keyboard Layout:
	English US is pre-selected
	Click on Continue

Who are You:
	Enter Your Name: 			Shannon
	Enter a name for this Computer: 	ASUS
	Pick a UserName: 			shannon
		Note all lower case-
	Pick a Password: 			shannon
	Repeat the password: 			shannon

	Put Check in Circle to Log in Automatically
	No Check in Circle for Require Password
		No Check in Box for Encryption

	Click on Continue
		- The Login can be changed to suit your needs at any time

There will be a pop up telling you the installation is done
	Click - Restart

When instructed to do so - Remove the USB Flash Drive and hit enter.
	You are done.
