- When the restaurants were closed, and most of the guests had gone to bed, the remaining staff of the all-new MTT resort often took a table and had a drink.
- They were united by their strong feelings towards Mettaton. All positive, except for one outlier.
- "I don't get the big deal," he scoffed. "Just - just because he has those lustrous locks, and, and arms that go on for days..."
- The receptionist wagged a finger. "He does, and he still has that youthful look. I don't know how he does it. Hasn't aged at all since the barrier broke, which, was, uh..."
- "Five months ago."
- "Right."
- Burgerpants looked around the table. "Can you guys keep a secret?"
- Everyone nodded eagerly.
- "So. You know that locked door in his office, right? I always thought it was a closet.
- "But a few days ago Mettaton called me in to do...something...and I saw him put away the key.
- "So last night, I sneak in there, right? And get this. You know those minifigures he sells, right?"
- The others at the table owned about eight between the five of them.
- "Right. So, in that room, there was one just like it! Only it was all big. Life-size. Like. A prototype? But here's the weird thing. It was all banged up!"
- They gasped.
- "Scratches in the paint. A bunch of dents. And the arms had fallen off."
- "You...you think..." the janitor offered, "you think it's the action figure that grows old, and he stays young?"
- "I don't know what to think. But that's what I saw."
- They fell silent.
- "I wish I had one of those."
