At a young age, Haruko's parent discovered she had an affinity for performing. She would always perform mini concerts for the family and family's friends whenever she had the chance. It was no surprise when she revealed her singing talent. Haruko was enrolled into numerous lessons that not only furthered her vocal skills but her dance, piano, taekwondo, and gymnastics skills as well. She attended an international school in Hong Kong alongside her brother and graduated a year early thanks to her academic advancement. She gained a scholarship to a performing arts college in South Korea and moved there to attend the school. Within a year of living in South Korea, she decided to test the waters and auditioned for SM Entertainment. When she received the news she got in, Haruko instantly called her parents and brother to let them know. Haruko graduated from the college with her degree in music producing while taking on the lifestyle of a trainee. Now, at 23, she is proudly working towards her debut with Lux In Tenebris.
