Using Expired Domains as Money Sites
I bought a clean 150 RD from auction (most links to homepage). First established in 2006, brandable, legitimate business. It's been parked for the past year. When I do a site: search in google there are about 60 pages in the index which are all 404.

I posted my first article 11 days ago, which was a 5,000 word buying guide, and have added at least 10 more pieces of content since then. All content I posted is in the exact same niche. It couldn't be more niche relevant, so no issue there.

1. When can I expect to see the site ranking?

At the moment I'm indexed but not ranking, which is probably normal given how much time has passed. One thing that is a bit confusing though is that I asked google to index a few pages to see what would happen. They then ranked almost immediately on page 9-10, but now they aren't ranking anywhere again. Should I think anything of this?

2. Would it be better to recreate the 404 pages or just ask google to remove them? 

As mentioned, most backlinks go to the homepage, so I wouldn't be recreating them for link juice purposes. Just now I recreated the urls that were pdf documents from wayback machine, but the others just consist of 100-150 words each, so I'm not sure if it's the best idea to add these or not.

3. Anything I should know to ensure I get maximum value using these 2 expired domains as money sites?

I've got another expired domain I'm planning on building out soon. Again, clean domain, first registered in 99, and completely relevant to what I am planning to write about. The only difference is that this domain was not indexed. I installed wordpress on it, posted an article and it got indexed quickly. I can't recreate the old content because another site already has.
I've done the same thing. Added 12 articles on it - not the old content. Started ranking on 3rd page after 2 months. Previously was not ranking, just indexed. I did created social media profiles and got some bookmarks before showing on the 3rd page though.
