The Pack Leader 4PC Bonus says: Summoning a Beast while under the effects of Lead From the Front causes a Stampede (big dam). Definitions & Terms: - A "Beast" is a Bear/Boar/Wyvern, spawned from the Pack Leader Hero Talent's "Howl of the Pack Leader" (Howl) node. It has a 30-second cooldown reduced by 1 sec every time you Kill Command or Cobra Shot. - Lead From the Front (LFTF) is a buff that you get for 12 sec when you press Bestial Wrath (BW) / Coordinated Assault (CA). Another way of putting it is "the first 12 seconds of Bestial Wrath / Coordinated Assault". - Activating BW/CA (and therefore LFTF) activates Howl and causes your next Kill Command to summon a Beast, independent of Howl's "natural" cooldown. Goal: Maximize Stampedes summoned during a fight by maximizing the amount of Beast spawns we create during the first 12 seconds of BW/CA. Method: By deliberately holding BW/CA until there is a certain amount of time left on Howl's natural cooldown, it is possible to cause the Howl from BW/CA (via the LFTF talent/buff) and the "natural" Howl (from its natural 30s cooldown) to coincide/happen at roughly the same time, within the first 12 seconds of BW/CA. This ensures 2 Stampede spawns per BW/CA and maximizes damage output in all situations. The threshold/number chosen for this is based on simulations, and 17 is a good "average target" for Howl's CD before you are allowed to press BW, while 15 is a better average target for CA for Survival. During Lust/Haste procs and effects, the threshold is higher because your ability to reduce Howl's cooldown (via Kill Commands and Cobras/Raptors) is better when you have high Haste. This is all worth around 1% so you're fine if you just decide to not bother. This WeakAura tells you when to hold Bestial Wrath: https://wago.io/T3vjlgi0m
