PERSONALITYwhiskey, salsa dancing, being right, cold weather, watching the news with a glass of red wine, cats, being in control, being wined and dined being questioned, being lied to, large dogs, change, large groups, being underestimated, children, talking too much about her personal life. move back to boston, fix her marriage, get her masters in business. tapping her fingernails, using drinking as a coping mechanism, not really listening when being talked to, being 100% unable to hide her distaste for things FREESTYLE● born the eldest child of royce everett, governor of massachusetts, leia was introduced to the world of politics at a very young age. despite her mother’s best efforts to keep her interest on other things, she was absolutely enthralled in the world that her father was such a major part of. although she couldn't understand anything that her father and his colleagues spoke about, she sat on his lap during meetings and pretend to take notes, although most of them didn't even pertain to what was discussed. when she was nine years old, her father went through a recall election. now she knows that it was over controversy involving illegal use of campaign funds, but back then she had no clue what was going on, only that it was one of the scariest times of her life, even though you were barely able to comprehend why. all she knew was that it was the first and last time she ever saw her father cry. ● despite having two younger sisters growing up, leia truly was the apple of her parents' eyes; with her father's brain for politics and her mother's charisma, there was no way that she couldn't be. still, she strove to attain her parents respect and affection, oftentimes outshining her younger siblings in the process. throughout the course of her childhood, charlotte's relationships with her sisters was strained, caused by her constant need to be in the spotlight and to have all of her mother and father's attention focused on her. ● when considering the amount of political clout and connections that accompany being an everett in combination with her killer GPA and copious amounts of community service, it was no surprise to anyone when she was accepted to boston university; however, it was a bit of a shock that leia opted to major in business rather than political science like everyone had anticipated she would. during her freshman year of college, she met her now husband, abel marlowe and made him chase after her for nearly a month before allowing him to think that she'd "given in" and accepted a date. from that point on, the two were inseparable and absolutely smitten with each other. while abel worked on his art career, leia turned her focus towards finishing school and getting her degree, which led her to turn down abel's many, outrageous proposals during the time that she was in school. once she'd finally graduated and obtained her degree, abel proposed again and leia accepted. ● from there, abel came up with the idea of moving back to his hometown of madison cove and opening an art gallery to not only showcase his artwork, but to offer classes for adults and children alike. with a wealth of leia's parents money at their disposal, leia agreed; however, abel fell into what he called a creative rut and was unable to produce the necessary means for the studio to flourish and the business deteriorated and closed after just a few months. shortly after, abel came up with another business venture -- this time, a bar. unable to say no to abel or stifle his passions, leia again agreed. at first, things were wildly successful; however, slowly but surely tensions grew between abel and leia, due to a slow stream of business and problems that had been rooted within their marriage that they'd ignored for years. eventually, all of their little arguments came to a head over the pressing issue that abel wanted to start a family, but leia did not and outright refused. unsure of how to carry on, abel asked for a divorce and dashed back to boston to clear his head, leaving leia alone in his hometown with a business to run. ● just recently, abel has returned to finalize everything, though it's clear that neither of them have any desire to do so. instead, they're currently dragging the entire process out and making efforts to revive their marriage while trying to keep the bar alive, even if neither of them are willing to admit as much. FRIENDSHIPSleia isROMANCEYikes™. like i mentioned earlier, she's technically married right now and working on making the separation official. her husband kind of abandoned her and moved back to boston after all of their problems came to a boiling point, and i imagine she tried very hard to move on in the time that she was gone. she probably tried dating sites, blind dates, etc., but she isn't exactly the warmest person and i don't see any of them having gone any further than 3-4 dates. if anything, she probably had more flings and one night stands to try to forget about her marital problems than anything. i'd love some former flings, failed dates, future dates, etc. for her? she's still trying to branch out, but absolutely has feelings for her soon to be ex-husband. she's.....a mess, but a very lonely mess that seeks out comfort in others, usually via sex. i'm just rambling now, but this is pretty complicated and open.OTHERhonestly, leia is mean, stuck up, and judgemental, and i promise you that she has more than her fair share of enemies. she kind of hates madison cove and loathes the fact that she lives here, so i imagine quite a few of the locals or people who are passionate about the city dislike her for that reason. she's awful at hiding her distain for people/things/etc. and can absolutely rub people the wrong way because she's kind of horrible if i'm being straight up?? give me all the enemies, frenemies, etc. please? i'd also love some neighborly plots with other people who live in whitecliff! just cute little simple things, even if leia is probably that pissy neighbor who glares at you if your lawn isn't green enough.she also has 2 younger sisters that i'll be putting a wanted ad up for at some point. if you're interested in playing one of them, feel free to toss me a DM!
