Some background: [Suicide] 1. Men are 80% of suicides [CDC - Suicide Data Statistics] https://www.cdc.gov/suicide/suicide-data-statistics.html  "The suicide rate among males in 2020 was 4 times higher than the rate among females. Males make up 49% of the population but nearly 80% of suicides." 2. Men have statistically higher suicidal intent than women: https://bmcpsychiatry.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12888-017-1398-8 "A significant association between suicide intent and gender was found, where ‘Serious Suicide Attempts’ (SSA) were rated significantly more frequently in males than females (p < .001). There was a statistically significant gender difference in intent and age groups (p < .001) and between countries (p < .001). Furthermore, within the most utilised method, intentional drug overdose, ‘Serious Suicide Attempt’ (SSA) was rated significantly more often for males than females (p < .005)." [Homelessness] 3. Men are 75% of the homeless: 2021 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) to Congress, Part 1:  https://www.huduser.gov/portal/sites/default/files/pdf/2021-AHAR-Part-1.pdf "The sheltered population included 194,749 homeless individuals—that is, people in households that did not include both adults and children. Individuals were 60 percent of the total sheltered homeless population." p.15 "The typical person staying in a shelter as an individual in 2021 was 25 years of age or older (91%), a man (68%)" p.16 4. Women/Girls are getting more improvement than Men and Boys despite the fact that Men and Boys are the majority. "People in shelters who were men or boys declined by seven percent, while the number of people in sheltered locations who were women or girls decreased by 10 percent. " [Education] "About 9.6 million women were enrolled in college, compared to roughly 6.6 million men. In other words, there were almost 1.5 times as many women enrolled in college as men. Women outnumbered men across two-year public, four-year public, four-year private nonprofit, and four-year private for-profit colleges." https://www.bestcolleges.com/research/college-enrollment-statistics/ Despite this, far more college scholarships are Women only vs Men only, and women still retain affirmative action: https://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarships-by-type/scholarships-for-women/ https://www.scholarships.com/financial-aid/college-scholarships/scholarships-by-type/scholarships-for-men/ Young boys are also more likely to drop out of school than young girls, but there is little to no serious discussion about changing schools to suit boys better (e.g. Adding/restoring recess, moving from a "Sit and listen" approach to a hands-on approach, or seeking more tailored learning). https://www.al-fanarmedia.org/2022/04/boys-are-at-greater-risk-of-dropping-out-of-school-unesco-warns/ I can go on, the tropes in the media "Dumb husband" for example, alimony, divorce, etc. but I think I've gotta get to the point. There's no MensHealth.gov but there sure is a WomensHealth.gov, but who lives longer? Women of course. There's no White House Council on Men and Boys, but there sure is one on Women and Girls. Are issues are never addressed, we're the first and only ones called toxic, the last ones rescued, the first ones enslaved for war, the last ones given compassion. We're called "privileged" and "oppressors" even when we've done nothing wrong. You just feel like you're shouting into the void, while it's always "Women/Girls need help!", like women have a monopoly on human empathy.
