how to play: FORSBRN -strengths/weaknesses S: Great: kill confirms, plenty of combos, has a lot of utility (can be played in many ways), W: If he doesn’t have resources his recovery can predictable, one of the slower characters -how to use all of their tools Jab: great size, quick, amazing with babydashing (will talk about in neutral section) Dash attack: good quick burst option that can combo into itself U-tilt: decent anti air, wide and lingers F-tilt: Has a hitbox and produces smoke D-tilt: go to mid-range launcher that can combo into kill confirms on bad DI, useful out of f-strong Dair: best fair in the game, spikes and hits forward for combos Bair: very strong, lingers a long time, easy to combo out of Fair: quick hitbox in front of him that can lead to combos from neutral / bad DI Uair: great for sharking (keeping opponent in the air) and can often combo into bair/dair Nair: good multihit that can be used in different ways. 1 hit sends back, 2 hit sends forward and can be hit falled to chain into itself on bad di, 3rd hit sends them further up/out ------------------------- F-strong and U-strong: long range cape hits that can combo into tilts on hit. Great for zoning or being used as edgeguard tools. D-strong: very quick kill move that can kill early with bad DI. ------------------------- Neutral b: Unemp. produces smoke that follows forsburn when unempowered Emp: produces large area of smoke and gives him his double jump back Down b: Unemp: Tries to inhale smoke. When 3 smokes are inhaled he has access to empowered specials (except up b). Smoke is removed if he gets parried, dies, or uses an empowered special. Emp: Combust, stronger in the center, amazing kill confirm Side b: Unemp: clone which can be toggled aggro/defensive by pressing b (anything but down b). Weak explosion hit by pressing down b Emp: super clone that throws out an attack at the opponent when pressing B, a weaker version of normal combust when pressing down b Up b: teleports to location, can teleport into cloud 2 times with no endlag or pratfall, very easy to snap into smoke cloud, and if he up b’s into smoke then he gets double jump back once per offstage -how to play neutral There are a ton of ways to play neutral with forsburn and it best to incorporate many of these through a game/set. Use clone to force the opponent to throw out a hitbox or try to run away. Since you can explode the clone at any time you have a lot of control if you place at mid range so that you can whiff punish them or surprise them with an early attack Use neutral b to produce smoke all over the map. Focus on getting your 3 inhales to pressure with combust and be safer if hit offstage Focus on getting 2 inhales so that you can get the 3rd one at almost any time and still have access to regular clone for neutral Heavily use the smoke to be deceptive by up b’ing into it. If there is a lot of smoke there is no way to tell where he is Use a lot of forward and up strong to zone / whiff punish your opponent if they’re being too aggressive. This will slow the pace down or allow you to continuously get free damage Falling from a platform or from the air is very good with forsburn: He has great ways to stall: Side b Using neutral b Up b’ing into a cloud mid-fall Air dodge Double jump Has great aerials for falling (dair, bair, less so nair) More advanced, but if you learn babydashing and tiltboosting, he arguably has the best of them in the game.
