I hold Yuri's gloved hand warmly in mine as we walk through the suburbs on our way back to my house. In her other hand Yuri holds a bag full of several kinds of tea that I bought for her at a local tea shop, a bit of an early Christmas present. She's dressed in a puffy and purple winter jacket to protect from the cold, and snow still lies heavy on the ground around the sidewalk from several nights ago. Noticing that I'm looking at her quite intensely, Yuri blushes and breaks the silence. "Anon I know I already said this, b-but thanks for buying this tea for me. It really means a lot that you took such an interest in it too, maybe I can teach you how to properly brew it sometime?" Yuri looks expectantly at me. "Of course Yuri, I'd love to make my own tea." I say with a smile. "Even if the tea tastes better with you around, my little sweetener." I give my cheesiest line possible "D-don't call be a sweetener, I'm more like a...rich blend of tea." Yuri says with a genuine smile and a laugh. I can feel my heart rising in my chest. Yuri doesn't smile like that often, but when she does it's like my entire world gets brighter. Leaning in I give her a quick kiss on the lips. "I don't know, you taste pretty sweet to me" I smile as Yuri's blush returns. After that exchange we walk in silence for a bit, we're about halfway to my house when I have an idea. Reaching out with my unoccupied hand I gather up some snow that's sitting on a raised wall and do my best to form it into a ball, giving it a couple tosses in the air to experiment with the weight. By now Yuri has noticed what I'm doing and looks over to me with furrowed brows. "What are you going to do with that?" Yuri says with a bit of fear in her voice. "...You're not going to suddenly hit me with it I hope." "Well I wasn't going to throw it at you without warning or anything, I just wanted to see if you wanna have a snowball fight with me!" I propose while holding up the snowball. "W-well I've never really had a fun snowball fight before..." Yuri pauses, looking to her left with a pained smile, "...most of the time as a kid people would just throw snowballs at me." "That's awful! But it's a good reason for us to have some fun, so that you can have a positive experience with snowball fights!" I say trying to cheer her up. "Well...I suppose we could try. Just go easy on me ok?" I nod and we find a nice open spot with some cover for us to use, Yuri places her bag full of tea on the snowless sidewalk and we both stand on opposite sides of the area. "Let's have fun Yuri, now go!" I shout and we both duck behind cover to begin making a snowball. I take my time making my first snowball, hoping to go easy on Yuri so that she can have fun. When I'm finished I peak over the edge of my cover and see that Yuri hasn't poked her head out. I wait and wait for around a minute before calling out. "Yuri are you ok? If you never come out neither of us can do anything." "I-I'm fine! Just a little scared is all..." I hear coming from behind Yuri's cover. "It won't hurt you I promise, this snow is really soft! I won't throw that hard either!" I say and there's a pause while I assume Yuri readies herself "O-okay! I think I'm ready!" I hear Yuri's nervous voice again. Both of us pop up from our cover and throw our snowballs quickly, both of us also completely miss our targets and duck back down. I begin preparing another snowball to throw, quicker this time since Yuri seems to be into this now. Popping up just before Yuri does I have the advantage and lob it at her, striking right in the chest. "Alright! One point for me!" I cheer and raise my arms in the air. When I look at Yuri though, she seems to be staring at the snow still stuck on her front, before brushing it off silently and staring at me. I've...never seen her like this before. Her eyes are looking at me with a ridiculous intensity, like it's now her life goal to hit me with a snowball. "Y-Yuri? Are you feeling ok?" I question her, but she just descends back into cover without saying anything, and I do the same to begin reloading on snow. Once my snowball is finished I pop back up ready to throw, but Yuri doesn't seem to be done yet. What's taking her? Thinking she might be scared again I ask. "Yuri if you're not liking this we can stop. I don't want you to do this is you don't want to." I say as I lower my throwing arm. As soon as my arm is lowered however Yuri stands up extremely fast and throws a snowball at me that connects right into my face, shocking me from the cold. She really did throw that quite hard. Placing my glove at the spot of impact I look back up to Yuri, who seems to have already readied another snowball. Ducking as she throws it I hear the snowball hit the wall behind me. But there was something weird about the impact...it sounded like a small, hard piece of something also hit the wall. Was there a rock in that one? "Yuri don't you think that's a little dangerous? If that hit me I could get hurt!" I call from behind cover to no response. Peeking over the top of my cover I don't see Yuri anywhere. "Ok Yuri I think it's time to call this off!" I say as I walk out and head toward her side. Peaking over the edge of her cover I see... nothing. She isn't here, where could she be? Then I hear the crunch of snow behind be and turn to see Yuri. Staring a hole through me with those same eyes as before. "Oh shi-!" I yell in fear and trip as I take a step away, falling onto my back. On the ground and resting on my elbows, Yuri towers over me with an extremely large snowball in her hand. I really hope this one doesn't have a rock in it, or a boulder if it scales with size. Yuri steps forward and her feet are on either side of my hips, she lifts the snow high above her head about to drive it down onto me. "All right Yuri I forfeit! It's over!" I yell as I close me eyes and try to cover my face with a hand. Noticing my doom hasn't come I open my eyes as Yuri drops the snow to her side and smiles her genuine smile again. She drops to her knees and is now straddling me in the snow, leaning forward till our faces almost touch. "Looks like it's my win, thanks for the fun Anon..." Yuri says as she gives me a tender kiss with much more warmth behind it than normal. Standing up, Yuri seems to be back to her usual self. "L-let's get back to your house so we can make some tea, that made me thirsty...if you want some tea at least." I sit there stunned by what just happened for a moment before realizing what she said. Giving Yuri a shell shocked nod, I rise to my feet and try to forget about how terrifying Yuri can be when she wants to be.
