I haven't made any substantial updates to this site in almost a full year now, and the biggest reason for that is the fact that Neocities hosting is static. It's SO demotivating to have to copy over 20 lines of code to a new file and then selectively delete things to make it blank, before I can even start putting words down. I did have a Dreamhost blog but I hate everything being fragmented, and I hate Dreamhost's user interface. It also requires JavaScript to load the header and footer, which makes the site look terrible on browsers with JS disabled, which I do on my phone to save mobile data. I'm going to be moving to a new site that's self-hosted so I can take advantage of a templating engine, I've set it up such that I can create new pages with 1 line of code and it'll generate the rest of the page for me! My goal with the new site is to have it more content-focused instead of just "wow fancy CSS!", the truth that I had to learn is that you can't really have both. I'm also really excited to share one of the biggest projects I'm working on, a links directory that has almost 500 entries across 16 categories! I just started developing the new site two days ago, I'll share the link when I'm finished! Thank you guys so much for all of the support over the past year and a half, and I'm excited for the future of my online presence!
