#ADayOffTwitch is today and while I have decided to stream as I usually do on Wednesdays, I fully support anyone that decides they want to stay off Twitch. But I feel that instead of letting trolls bullying me away from doing what I'm most passionate about, I can make this a productive day to talk about what you can do to prevent a hate raid as well as talk about mental health. So instead, I will show you how to create a "panic" button during my stream. This is an idea that's gaining a lot of traction whereby you can enable sub mode/clear chat/post a warning message all from a single macro. Most people are doing this via a Stream Deck. However, I want to show you some other options (and yes, they are free and accessible to all). We'll talk about what sorts of things you can do to shut down your chat in the event of a hate raid, but we'll keep it fun and educational like we usually do. I'll show you how you can activate a "panic" button using voice commands, add lighting effects and sound alerts so that your viewers aren't left wondering why they aren't able to talk in chat. Stay safe, don't click random profiles and remember, if you get hate raided, it's not the end of the world. Although I understand some may not be able to control being upset, please do your best not to let it ruin your day if you are able. You've got more important shit to worry about.
