Part 1 - How demons operate Part 2 - Part 2 - Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Have you given God your whole life? _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 1 - How demons operate We as Christians need to know how demons operate. In the daily life of a Christian, there are probably times where you are going to have demons try to mess with you. For example a demon could be that whispering in your head telling you to go get drunk with your friends then go out driving. Another example could be when you get a random thought in your head of gore and murder and you know for sure that's not who you are. Demons operate in many different ways. They like to possess people and cause people to stumble and fall. Jesus cast out many devils in His time walking on this earth. Matthew 8:16 from The Word of God says " When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:". One passage of scripture where Jesus dealt with a man possessed with a devil is in Matthew 8:28-32 which says - "And when he was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man might pass by that way. And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time? And there was a good way off from them an herd of many swine feeding. So the devils besought him, saying, If thou cast us out, suffer us to go away into the herd of swine. And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.". Demons like to cause us to stumble and fall. Demons hate us and don't want us alive. Often times you might find that sometimes you'll have random sinful thoughts all of a sudden, it could be that a demon is putting those sinful thoughts in your head. Remember that God is never going to tell you to do anything that goes against His Word! If you take a look in 1 Timothy 4:1 the scripture reads " Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;". A doctrine of devils is anything that contradicts The doctrine of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. A doctrine of devils is for example: A demon might try to influence a Christian to doubt the existence of God or try to lead that Christian into a false doctrine. Be careful of doctrines of devils! Don't let these doctrines of devils decieve you! Let God's Word be true only! 2 Corinthians 11:14 - " And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.". Just because something looks good, it doesn't mean it's always right. Examine things from the view point of God's Word. Test the spirits to see if they are of God. 1 John 4:1 from The Word of God says "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.". There are different types of demons. You have a demon of adultery, murder, fornication, idolatry, hate, profanity, lying, homo-sexuality, condemnation, and blasphemy. There are probably more types of demons than that but that should give you a general understanding. You might ask "well, what do I do if I think a demon is messing with me?". Jesus told the disciples in Luke 10:19 which reads "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.". Jesus gave us all power over the enemy! Anytime for example a demon of adultery/lust comes around you, tell that demon to get out of here in JESUS name! When we sin in our life, ultimately we want to confess our sin to God sincerely and then afterward repent sincerely with God's help! After you deal with the sin, you have to deal with the demon associated with that sin. For example if you did the sin of using profanity then you confess that sin to God sincerely and then repent sincerely with God's help and then after that you tell the demon of profanity to get out of here in Jesus name! If you don't deal with the demon associated with that sin then that demon has the potential to stay around you and influence you to keep doing that same sin. This is probably why for example people have struggles with overcoming a particular sin with God's help. Mark 16:17-18 confirms that Jesus gives us the power to cast out demons through His name. Mark 16:17-18 from The Word of God says "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.". Notice how The scripture says "These signs shall follow them that believe." Keep in mind The scripture John 10:10 from The Word of God "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." What if we see someone possessed with a demon? First off you should know that these demons really want to possess people, those demons would rather possess a body than be without a body. We have authority through Christ Jesus. We have the power to cast out those demons in Jesus name. But it is IMPORTANT to take into consideration this passage of scripture: Matthew 12:43-45 from The Word of God says "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.". If you cast out a demon from a unsaved person then if they don't accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, that demon that was casted out could come back to that person and find that the person is empty-basically meaning that Jesus doesn't occupy their body. If that demon comes back and finds that person empty, that demon could go back and get seven demons worse than itself and go and enter that person and the condition of that person would be worse than the first time. You are taking a risk casting demons out of a unsaved person because that person may not accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour after the demon is casted out of them. 1 John 4:4 from The Word of God says "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.". Here are some other scriptures talking about demons. Luke 8:2, Matthew 10:1, Matthew 17:15-21, Matthew 9:32-33, Matthew 12:22. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Part 2 - Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour? Have you given God your whole life? God is so loving and cares for each and every one of us! You may be here right now and you don't know the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, God's will involves us becoming His children, to become one of His children you have to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and in order to do that you need to accept what Jesus did for you. God's Word says in John 3:16-17 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.". God's Word tells us in Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.". God's Word also tells us in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;". Romans 5:8 in God's Word says - " But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.". God loves you and wants to have a deep relationship with you! God is merciful and is willing to forgive us and accept us in, we just need to accept His gift of Jesus Christ! If your reading this and you want to give your life to God then confess the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and believe on God who sent Jesus and raised Jesus from the dead. Then ask God to forgive you of all your sins. Romans 10:9-10 in God's Word says "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.". If you've done those steps then welcome to God's family!! God's Word says in Luke 15:7 - " I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.". From this point forward, continue your life in God's will because that's very important! Matthew 7:21 in God's Word says "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.". Ask God to show you what His will is, ask God to reveal Himself unto you and ask God to give you wisdom of His Word. I strongly encourage that you read your Bible everyday!
