Estellise Montelbahn

1. State your character's general concept, in terms of their intended playstyle and what it is that they're trying to accomplish.

	"How would extremely early discovery of molecular biology and chemistry affect the the growth of the field, given early 20th century sensibilities?"

	Estellise Montelbahn is a microchemist that got swept up in the wave of progress that came with the discovery of the ultimate machines, specializing in using the customization microscale tools to isolate proteins and customize molecules.  In combat she would be similar to the scientist trainer type in later Pokemon games, using prepared compounds to amp up her team's Pokemon, and also being capable of tossing out vials of reactive or acidic solutions to hinder or damage enemies.

2. What's your character's home like? What made them stand out to be scouted as EGGs? Were they glad to be able to leave home to serve the League, or do they get homesick and have to come back every now and then?

	Estellise Montelbahn was groomed to be a scholar.  She comes from a rich family that could afford to give her expensive tutoring.  Personal interest combined with the necessary cultural shift in focus towards microbiology set her professional course and she excelled to such a high degree to be scouted by government initiatives.  However, she has a distaste for the attitude some parts of the upper echelons of society have towards the usage of ultimate machines, and has tried to disassociate herself from even her family.

3. What's the most important thing to your character that they've lost in their life? It could be a person, an opportunity, a philosophy, anything.

	She's a former member of a division of government researchers who all specialized in organic compound manipulation.  However, her funding group started to demand progress in a direction that was highly suspect...fine manipulation of neurotransmitters and and motor impulse control proteins.  Mind control machines.  Out of disgust, she stole what equipment she could from her facility and wrecked everything else, escaping.

4. What legendary does your character have? The legal legendaries are most Trios, mascot characters, (ie Mew or Jirachi), and other more "minor" legendaries. If you're unsure if a legendary is legal, ask me. What Concept does this Pact Beast represent? (Legendaries will have a single Aura, which will have effects based on this Concept. Don't worry about confining them to the ones in Blessed and the Damned) In the process of bonding with this Conceptual Pact Beast, what kind of trial did they have to overcome? (Be creative. A test of character of some sort related to the Concept is preferable to a straight trial by combat.) Despite the previous oneshot, all the legendaries are still open for use, just make sure you fluff the legend differently and have them embody a different concept. Fakemon are okay, as are especially snowflakey variants of non-legends.

	A huge amount of pact beasts emerged from the mere concept of microbiology itself, and anyone who works in the field is basically required to have control over several; these bonds are seen as professional and are rarely developed beyond the lab.  Estellise is the unique holder of Mew, a beast amalgamated from the entire genome library held in the Thessalian Archives, and embodying the idea of freedom from biological oppression; first due to the virus that threatened humanity, now from those who wish to abuse that which saved humanity from the virus.  In escaping her research facility, Estellise broke Mew from containment, bonded with it, and fled.

5. What does your character hate? If they don't truly hate anything, why? Can they stay calm around it? What does your character find most satisfying to do? Do they have any hobbies?

	Estellise has had a sheltered upbringing, so she has a naive, black-and-white worldview.  Research makes her happy, forming a conclusion through links of logic brings her satisfaction.  She likes to keep things neat and categorical, and can give the binomial nomenclature for many plants and animals.  She can't stand hypocrisy or abuse of logic to bring injustice or pain.  Normally she's fairly stoic, but such things can cause her to simmer and boil.

6. How did your character bond with their first Pact Beast? Do they still use that Pact Beast, or was the Pact dissolved? Did that relationship mean anything for that character?

	Pact beasts such as Reunculus and Magneton are common for researchers, and Estellise owned several.  They're encouraged to stay professionally distant from their beasts in case they are lost in research, but Estellise's outlook is shifting after bonding with Mew and fleeing her facility.

7. What does your character see themselves trying to accomplish in the future? How does that tie in to their work as EGGs right now? Does your character believe in destiny?

	Estellise is very afraid of the concept of destiny.  Nobody should be able to decide one's fate but the individual, and usage of the ultimate machine to control humanity is abuse of the faith the oldtypes left in us.  She wants to use her talents to disrupt the highest levels of research, and possibly revolutionize the direction of microbiology under her hand.

	The discovery and development of pact beasts has qualified the definition of "humanity".  What it means to be a human, what we are capable of with our bodies, the potential we can reach with the manipulation of the machines inside of us.  It becomes debatable whether the conscious is in control, or the machines held without.

9. List any expectations you have for this oneshot SHORT CAMPAIGN, any input you want to give on the setting, and other general things here.

	Any help with clarifying the research group in Estellise's backstory would be appreciated!  Fitting it into the world a little more and whatnot.  This is my first time participating in one of these games so I'm just excited to have the opportunity to experience it.

10. List your availability. Currently, I, the GM, am available on Thursday nights and all day Saturday, but I'll be having my Sundays open up sometime in July or August so if that's when people are available I'll postpone the game starting until that opens up.

	I have a lab Thursday afternoons but it usually only lasts a couple of hours, I'll be free at night.  Additionally there's another RP that runs on Saturday afternoons for me but I can do two games at once.  My other days are wide open.
