- The Fairy Forest
- by Cecil Rivers
- (SFW, no lewd; cute story intended for smiles)
- ------------------------------------------------
- Jason wandered through the woods, searching for his lost dog. He ran away earlier that day, and Jason suspected that he wandered into the dense forest. Local legend was that strange creatures and spirits lived in this forest: fairies, elves, pixies, gnomes, goblins, and so on. Of course, it was merely legends; those creatures didn't exist, naturally.
- "Excuse me," a small, feminine voice said from behind Jason. "Are you looking for something?"
- Jason jumped upon hearing the voice. He turned around, astonish by what he now saw. A small woman, floating in the air with her fluttering butterfly wings. She wore a green dress with golden trim, and had bright blue eyes and short golden hair.
- "A-are you a... fairy?" Jason asked.
- The girl laughed. "Of COURSE I'm a fairy, silly! And I suppose you're a human, right?"
- "Uh... y-yeah..." Jason replied.
- The fairy giggled. "Aww, you're stammering! Is it because you don't talk to girls that much?" She fluttered close to him, her face in front of his and her eyes half-lidded. "Or maybe you just haven't seen a girl as cute as me before..." she said, her voice becoming low.
- Jason stammered even more, his mind now a mess after not only learning that fairies are real, but that one was now flirting with him.
- The fairy could only laugh all the more, doing backflips in midair with the sheer force of her laughter. "Sorry, sweetie; I just wanted to make you blush, that's all." She fluttered back to Jason, now sitting on his shoulder, legs crossed. "So, what's your name?"
- "I-It's Jason," he replied. "And yours?"
- "Theabella."
- "That's a pretty name."
- "Not as good as Jason," Theabella replied sweetly. "I think your name's cute."
- Jason blushed. "Thanks," he said, now getting used to his new companion.
- "So, what brings you to this part of the forest? It's not often humans ever come this way."
- "I'm looking for my dog. He ran away earlier today."
- "Ooh, a dog?" Theabella exclaimed, leaping from Jason's shoulder and fluttering in front of him now. "I saw a dog this way! Was it a... oh, what's the word? Cor-gee?"
- "Yes, that's it!"
- "Then follow me!" Theabella shouted, fluttering away with Jason giving chase.
- As they traveled further into the forest, Jason noticed different kinds of plant life, ones he had never seen before. Bright lavender flowers that glowed in the darkness, trees of violet and silver leaves, and roses that seemed to fluctuate between red and blue. The air in the forest changed, too, becoming sweet and pleasant. As soon as Jason inhaled this new air, he felt reinvigorated, his body not becoming tired in the slightest.
- Eventually, Jason and Theabella found the small corgie, sleeping on a pile of green and purple leaves in the midst of the glowing forest. Jason kneeled down to pet his precious dog. "There you are, Riley," he whispered, not wanting to wake the sleeping dog.
- "So cute," Theabella whispered to herself.
- Jason turned to Theabella. "Thanks, Thea," Jason said. "You've been a big help."
- "Anything for a cute guy like yourself," Theabella giggled, fluttering back to Jason's shoulder. "Hey, sweetie?"
- "Yeah?"
- "Well, I was wondering... Do you need to be back home soon?"
- "Hm?"
- "Well... I want to... spend a little more time together, if that's okay," she said with a smile.
- Jason thought for a moment. "Well... I don't really have anything to do, and I don't need to be back home for a while... I do need to bring Riley back home, though."
- "Hm... maybe you could stay here until he wakes up?" Theabella suggested.
- "I... guess so," Jason replied.
- Theabella giggled. "You're blushing again, sweetie. You have the cutest blushes, you know," she said.
- Jason chuckled. "Thanks, Theabella," he smiled.
- The two leaned against a nearby tree, beside the adorable corgie dog. Theabella talked with Jason for some time, even after Riley woke up and laid down on his lap. Theabella leaned against his shoulder as though it were her own bed as they spoke, laughing about their days and each other's lives.
- Eventually, Jason could feel Theabella's hand stroking the back of his neck, gently. "Jason," she asked quietly. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
