guess who's the birthday boy
not me and even though he's a good guy
i don't care enough to tell him (not like i do
with most people) and the irony is i can't be bothered
to tell it to the person that deserves it most with
their postmortem social media presence
though other people can't be bothered to say anything
besides a platitude with a “!” for zest
it's weird that apathy is the rule on the internet
instead of the exception and that maxim makes you
doubt anyone even attempting empathy
