  1. 'Don't forsake me like this...' She thought to herself with the lack of coordination. She'd instructed her vines to move one way, yet they didn't. Instead, they'd... Well, mindlessly assaulted Barca in ways she'd never thought to do so herself.
  2.
  3. The lack of control made for unpredictability, which - in turn - might've been a benefit.
  4.
  5. "Quite a lot of earth magic you have there." Holly notes with a smile, she had a similar affinity, yet never managed to shape rock itself. It was always interesting to see.
  6.
  7. Nevertheless, she seemed to naturally power through the boulders and avalanches of earth which hurled her way out of sheer durability. It was quite an odd sight to behold, but, in tandem with crippling migraines that provoked Barca to know left from right - the asphyxiating spore clouds were seemingly enough to gradually whittle them down.
  8.
  9. That was difficult in its own sense... "Do you have any goals to achieve with your magic?" She inquires by the end, cutting off the mana to her vines.
  10. (Holly Hargrave)

  12.
  13. Now this was different. Time and time again she maintained the initiative against her opponents, slowly luring them into a trap. But with such a dense and disorganized assault- she couldn't make heads or tails of it. Gnarled branches and twisted vines sprouted from the ground, reaching out with barbed tendrils to grasp at her hands and feet.
  14.
  15. Her chains- reinforced and layered with her own projected metal were tangled, as the vines deftly wove and enwrapped each and every thread, pulling them apart.
  16.
  17. She expected a duel- but in reality, she was already mired waist deep into a trap. Her inexperience against numbers showed.
  18.
  19. With her chains foiled- she moved through alternative means, shifting the earth into a veritable quagmire to spoil her saplings and seize Holly's feet, but the dense mists of spores stifled her breath and soured her eyes, forcing her to stop, arms clenching around her head to endure the assault.
  20.
  21. Her mind jostled at key moments- was it poison? She couldn't tell. But the world tumbled and so did her feet, and she soon found herself braced against the ground on a knee, disoriented, spent. Barca panted for a fair bit, seemingly stunned, before glancing up at Holly to speak.
  22.
  23. "Goals? To get stronger. It's a means to an end. I'd like to win the Grand Bout, establish a reputation, then build a group around myself. Simple."
  24.
  25. She stood abruptly, stumbling over her heel as she fumbled for balance.
  26.
  27. "Your magic is quite special too. To be honest, I'd like to have another round." She chuckles. "If I can move my chains half as well as your vines, that'd help me greatly down the line."

  33. Barca held firm. Rooting herself to the ground when she found sprays of mist rushing toward her- then falling into an abrupt stop when the world began to spin. She drew up her defences, thickened the hide of stone that wrapped around her, then further reinforced it, rearranging the structure to better mimic iron.
  34.
  35. This was a new experience, and as they fought, she realized that the two were wholly unrelated.
  36.
  37. Her own dynamic, but fluid movements played contrary to the steady and stable nature of earth. Once again her chains had been spoiled by grasping vines- her main weapon of choice defeated. She made a mental note of it as she moved forward, fighting not with her chains but with her mastery over earth. She reached in- through bedrock and deep into the molten sway of magma bubbling underneath, bracing against Gaia herself.
  38.
  39. The Eye of Malachite. She had been calling upon that charm less and less now as her spells came mind-fast, without struggle, but just as withher reliance over Magispheres she fell back upon structured habits.
  40.
  41. And it was that predictability that dragged her down. She had grown so reliant on her chains that she had neglected her other techniques. And somehow, this time- she managed, pushing through as a walking fortress as she hurled wave after wave of stone, pulling spikes, firing rocks, and scattering earth- like a child splashing mud.
  42.
  43. "Whew- That's a bit better." She smirks. "Come to think of it, what about you? Your goals?" Barca took brief lull in their fight to ask.

  47. Gin found his eyes drawn to the battle at hand. His eyes widened, and was interested. Each bit of magic, each flowing movement, it caught the males attention. He was intrigued by their combative abilities, and watched on to observe, and hopefully even learn and grow from what they were demonstrating. Truly, it was a motivation for the male. He saw powerful abilities on display, and reaching out to attune and train his own lightning element, it motivated him to do the same.
