vogue chapter five (incomplete)

"i wonder what's for lunch." yuta said and walked quickly towards the food collection point to see what was for lunch.

"what is it?" johnny asked.

"spicy noodles." yuta said and grabbed a tray for himself.

"yummy!" hyunji exclaimed when she heard what was for lunch.

"crap, i can't eat spicy food." renjun said.

"wow you are missing out on a lot." euran told renjun.

one by one, they went to collect their food from the collection point.

yuta sat at one and table and started inhaling his food. chae eul who was the next to collect her food sat at a separate table.

the rest came with their trays and just sat at the table with the same gender as themselves.

yunjin heaved a sigh of relief because they weren't sitting with the boys.

"so, what do you think of johnny?" chae eul asked euran, with a small smirk on her face.

"why do you ask?" euran asked, slightly flustered. she looked at the rest of the girls for help but none of them heard their conversation as they were busy eating their lunch and having their own conversations.

"isn't it obvious?" chae eul said.

euran turned her head towards the boys' table and looked at johnny who was eating.

euran looked back at chae eul and chae eul raised an eyebrow at her.

"anyway, so how do you find this mission thingy?" chae eul changed the topic and asked the rest, giving euran some mercy.

"it's great, i mean it seems quite fun." youngki said.

"same." soojin said and pointed at youngki.

"anyway, anyone watches the tv series brooklyn-" yunjin was about to ask when hyunji sneezed. everyone in the canteen turned their head towards that unglam and loud sneeze.

"bless you!" doyoung shouted from the boys' table.

"so sorry." hyunji told them, swinging her hand in the air as if she was swatting a fly away.

"what were you about to say?" euran asked yunjin, leaning forward interested in what yunjin said.

"oh, umm, i forgot what i was going to say. i'm such a forgetful person." yunjin said, and let out a sigh.

"i feel you." hyunji said.

"i think we better eat faster, the boys are going to complain if we eat so slowly." youngki told the girls.

"yes mum." euran said, making youngki suddenly feel old.

the next twelve minutes were just them eating in silence in the canteen. all of a sudden, yunjin's expression changed. euran who was sitting opposite yunjin saw her expression change and asked her what was wrong.

"i think my thing is here." yunjin said softly with a frown, causing euran to open her eyes widely.

"oh no. are you wearing a pa- thing?" euran asked.

"umm no." yunjin said.

"let's go to the toilet now." euran said and got up.

"where are you guys going?" the rest of the girls asked them when they saw them leave the table.

"she thinks she got her thing." euran said softly.

"what thing?" hyunji asked loudly, making the other girls say 'shhhhh'.

"do you need a pad?" youngki asked.

"urgently." yunjin said.

"i think i have some in my bag, but i'm not sure if it's big enough. i have to go and check." youngki said.

"are y'all done eating? we can clear the trays for you guys." soojin said, while looking at everyone's almost empty trays.

"yeah, i'll follow yunjin to the toilet, and youngki will go and take the pads. thank you." euran told soojin, chae eul and hyunji who were going to return their trays.

when all the girls dispersed from the table, the guys who were still eating were wondering where they were going.

"where are you guys going?" yuta asked.

"something happened which none of y'all will understand." chae eul said bluntly.

after returning the trays, the three girls went straight to the toilet to give yunjin their support. you know how it is when your period comes without you knowing.

"youngki here yet?" euran asked who was waiting outside the cubicle yunjin was in.

"nope." soojin said.

"i freaking stained the shorts that i was wearing underneath too. but luckily it's navy so it's not obvious." yunjin, who was in the cubicle, said with an annoyed voice.

"you better not wear your skirt then." euran said.

"here, i have a 30cm one." youngki said while rushing into the toilet.

she passed yunjin the pad from under the door, and yunjin returned a thanks.

about 5 minutes later, yunjin came out from the cubicle, only with her black school shorts and her skirt in her hands.

"thanks guys." yunjin said with a smile.

"you don't need to thank us. this is what we should do as friends!" euran said.

the rest nodded in agreement and they left the toilet together. the boys who were waiting for the girls at the canteen table turned their heads when they saw the girls walking out.

"woah, where did your skirt fly to?" jeno asked when he saw yunjin.

"nacho business." hyunji said and placed her right palm out.

"you have a nacho business?" jeno asked.

"well, no." hyunji replied giving a fake smile.

"it's funny how we are doing this is the canteen." renjun said and laughed.

"i think it's more comfortable here than the computer lab. there isn't even enough space on the desks since the computer takes up three quater of the space." johnny said.

"and we will most likely be doing our work on the floor." yuta said.

_ 1.5 HOURS BEFORE

"ready to go back to the room?" winwin asked.

"let's wait for a while. i'm having a food coma." chae eul said and sighed. she unbuckled the buckle of her skirt as it was too tight for that stomach of hers.

"me too, the noodles were too delicious and i got a second serving. now i feel like i can't walk." yuta said and signalled for the rest to sit back down.

they all sat down, and they slowly felt tired. those carbohydrates they took in was at a whole new level.

"you know what, i'll just go and take the materials down so that we can do it here." winwin volunteered.

"i'll help you," soojin said, "i would like to take a walk to digest my food. sitting here only makes me feel more full."

"thanks!" everyone said, and the pair walked towards the nearest stairs together.

"so how is it being a vice-head prefect?" winwin asked soojin.

"okay i guess." soojin said.

"i actually wanted to be a prefect when i was in year one. but the class voted for someone else so i wasn't chosen." winwin said.

"yeah, i feel that sometimes it's unfair because the students just vote for the popular one and not the one with potential." soojin said.

"that's true." winwin said, nodding his head.

the conversation ended there and they walked in silence to the classroom on the second floor. soojin, who was amazed by winwin's good looks, was taking glances at him stealthily.

when they reached the room, winwin opened the door for soojin.

"you know where the materials are?" winwin asked soojin.

"i'm not sure." soojin said. they both walked around the computer lab, trying to search for the materials. soojin who saw the cardboard, at the side of the room, walked towards it. she opened the door of the cardboard and looked through each shelf. she looked at the uppermost shelf and tried to reach inside to see if the materials were in there. as she isn't tall enough, she wasn't able to reach inside.

winwin who saw her struggling walked towards where she was and stood behind her. he put one of his hand on her shoulder and stretched the other one out to reach for the inside of the top shelf. he took the plastic file he felt and saw the sheets of paper they needed inside the file.

"here you go." winwin said and passed it to soojin.

soojin took it from him and mumbled a shy 'thank you' without looking at him. she blushed slightly when she recalled what just happened.

"oh uh sorry. you seemed to be struggling so i wanted to help." winwin said after seeing soojin's body language.

"oh it's okay." soojin said looking up, only to be greeted by a smiling winwin. she immediately looked down and closed the cardboard door.

"let's go. the rest should be waiting." soojin said and cleared her throat. she walked out of the room, with winwin following her from behind.

they walked back to the canteen without saying anything but just awkward smiles plastered on both their faces.

guys are doing arm wrestling, chae eul tells euran "he is trying to impress you, give him some attention."
