Super Monkey Ball Level Jams: Rules v1.7

A Super Monkey Ball Level Jam is an event where a theme and a mechanic are chosen randomly and everyone in the community has a set time limit to create a level based on them. The levels are then compiled into a pack and the community votes on which levels were the best.

Every other Sunday at 4PM EST, I will announce a randomly chosen theme and mechanic from the list. I will then accept level submissions until two weeks later, on Sunday at 4PM EST.

Levels should be submitted to me through Discord DMs. You should submit a ZIP or RAR file containing LZ, GMA, and TPL files with the name of your level, along with a screenshot for the practice mode preview image (if no image is provided, I will take a neutral screenshot of the level). The level must be created for the jam. You cannot submit a level you've already created, and you cannot receive help or feedback from others on the level (besides technical help such as how to use a tool). Your submitted level can have a custom background, a vanilla background, or no background, with effect on the scoring.

If less than three levels are submitted, the deadline to submit will be extended by one week. After that, if there are zero submissions, the jam will be cancelled. If there is one level submitted, it will be added to the jam pack, but voting won't be held. Otherwise, I will compile and release a pack with the stages submitted for that week (building on previous weeks' packs). The creator of each level will appear in parentheses next to its name.

A voting sheet on Google Forms will go up when the pack is released, and be available to vote on until the following Sunday at 4PM. The categories are "Most Fun", "Best Design", "Most Unique", "Best to Speedrun", and "Best Use of [Mechanic]". The overall winner will be the level with the highest sum-total number of votes. The winning level will get "(Winner)" added to its name in future versions of the jam pack.
