  2. Hello SajjadThank you for contacting HostGator Support, my name is Michael and I'm a Tier 2 Web Advisor here at HostGator. I have had the pleasure to review your case today.
  3.
  4. After reviewing the case notations, we understand you contacted us in regards to your site netmatico.com having a slow response time. We've reviewed the domain and see it is well optimized but further optimization could assist with breaking down the response time.

  10. Below are some general suggestions for improving overall site performance by reducing requests and improving page speed.
  11.
  12. 1). Add a caching plugin to your site. Most common CMS and Forum software will have a caching plugin that you can quickly enable. A good caching plugin will pre-process your php into static html, js, and css files. Using Apache’s mod_rewrite, requests will skip php/mysql almost entirely, greatly reducing the resources usage of your pages.

  15.
  16. 2). Consider adding a CDN (Content Delivery Network) service to your site. A service like SiteLock TrueSpeed will offer a transparent caching service over your website. This offloads requests for static content from your account to the CDN. This can be enabled in your cPanel account if you already have SiteLock's service. A free CDN alternative, if you're not already using SiteLock, would be Cloudflare. http://support.hostgator.com/articles/offers-bonuses/sitelock/enable-sitelock-trueshield-and-truespeed
  17.
  18. 3). Rate limit bots and crawlers. Often, aggressive bots and web crawlers will traverse your website exhausting the server resources. Make sure to have a good sitemap.xml and a robots.txt ( with a crawl delay setting ). These instruct bots to crawl only valid content and will detail how often new content is added.

  21.
  22. In the case of Google or Bing bots, you don’t want to deny or prevent their access, but you can ask them to limit how fast they crawl your site. http://support.hostgator.com/articles/specialized-help/telling-google-how-often-to-crawl-your-website

  24.
  25. 4). Reduce the size of your content. With smaller assets and web pages, the web server spends less time delivering that content to your visitors allowing for more concurrent visitors. Consider using the following techniques to reduce the size of your content without affecting the presentation. You can use a site tester like http://gtmetrix.com/ or http://www.webpagetest.org/ to check whether these features are enabled.
  26. - Update your .htaccess file to enable Expires Headers, aka browser cache
  27. - Update your .htaccess file to enable gzip http compression and Keep-Alive
  28. - Compress your images for the web by using Smush.it, Gimp, or Photoshop
  29. - Minify and Concatenate your static assets for fewer total page requests

  36.
  37. Once you've optimized your domain to the fullest extent you should see a decrease in load time on the domain. We would highly suggest adding the CDN as it will add an additional layer of caching that will assist with pulling up web content. Your site itself did score well using a 3rd party source called gtmetrix.com and you can review the report here https://gtmetrix.com/reports/netmatico.com/bgcfckwA <https://gtmetrix.com/reports/netmatico.com/bgcfckwA>.
