- From our own investigations we assume that the problem of yesterday was
- caused by
- single provider which made 6000 players of Tibia to get kicked.
- We can understand your worries completely but the "streets" of the internet
- are
- not perfect and traffic jams can happen even if you are fine most of the
- time.
- Let me describe it in other words:
- Even if your car runs perfectly and is fuelled, there is no guarantee that
- you
- will reach your destination.
- Furthermore, if you got a date with your girlfriend and you come too late
- because
- of a traffic jam, you do not blame her, or ?
- The same is true for us. We do not run the "streets" of the internet and we
- cannot
- be held responsible for what happens with the data on the way to and from
- our data
- centres.
- If we really get difficulties with our servers, all players of a server
- would
- recognise it and not only 50 or 100 or an individual one.
- In general you can say, if you suffer from individual kicks or lags and
- your
- friends on the server are fine, the problem has to be on your system or
- your
- individual connection.
- If your friends suffer from lags but others from a different country don't,
- the
- problem rests with a local internet provider in most cases .
- Only if nearly all players of a server are being affected and the reason is
- not a
- DDoS attack or a big problem with a global backbone provider (biggest and
- most
- important provider for the structure of the internet), the problem may rest
- with
- our servers.
- However, things like DDoS attacks cannot always be averted and sometimes,
- we face
- a hardware malfunction even if these cases are very rare and we
- continuously work
- to avoid them.
- Ofcourse, we always try to inform you, our community, about it
- immediately.
- I know that this information will not help you right now, but maybe it
- helps you
- to evaluate what happened.
