  3. From our own investigations we assume that the problem of yesterday was
  4. caused by
  5. single provider which made 6000 players of Tibia to get kicked.

  7. We can understand your worries completely but the "streets" of the internet
  8. are
  9. not perfect and traffic jams can happen even if you are fine most of the
  10. time.

  12. Let me describe it in other words:

  14. Even if your car runs perfectly and is fuelled, there is no guarantee that
  15. you
  16. will reach your destination.
  17. Furthermore, if you got a date with your girlfriend and you come too late
  18. because
  19. of a traffic jam, you do not blame her, or ?
  20.  
  21. The same is true for us. We do not run the "streets" of the internet and we
  22. cannot
  23. be held responsible for what happens with the data on the way to and from
  24. our data
  25. centres.
  26. If we really get difficulties with our servers, all players of a server
  27. would
  28. recognise it and not only 50 or 100 or an individual one.
  29. In general you can say, if you suffer from individual kicks or lags and
  30. your
  31. friends on the server are fine, the problem has to be on your system or
  32. your
  33. individual connection.
  34. If your friends suffer from lags but others from a different country don't,
  35. the
  36. problem rests with a local internet provider in most cases .
  37. Only if nearly all players of a server are being affected and the reason is
  38. not a
  39. DDoS attack or a big problem with a global backbone provider (biggest and
  40. most
  41. important provider for the structure of the internet), the problem may rest
  42. with
  43. our servers.
  44. However, things like DDoS attacks cannot always be averted and sometimes,
  45. we face
  46. a hardware malfunction even if these cases are very rare and we
  47. continuously work
  48. to avoid them.
  49. Ofcourse, we always try to inform you, our community, about it
  50. immediately.
