  1. Just ran through this on expert drums and I have a few general comments:
  2.
  3. The charting seemed just about spot on, except for a few things -
  4.
  5. 1. Toms should never be charted to R gems. The pre-choruses (whatever you call that section after the verses) with the triplets should be on a tom (probably a B, it sounds low) with the snares charted to red. No need to disco flip there.
  6.
  7. 2. The swung notes looked like they may have been slightly out of place. They played fine, but looked like they may be a hair off, although I could be completely wrong. Make sure that you're charting it in a triplet grid, and not trying to replicate that exact timing in a 32nd or 64th note grid. It was odd in that the steady triplet patterns it looked fine (the tom rolls, pretty much all the fills), but in the little snare accents on the 4eA something seemed off.
  8.
  9. 3. The end section with all the riding on the crash can probably have some accented crashes charted to B. There are some distinctly different cymbal sounds happening in that section, and with no reason to keep B or Y mapped to a tom at that point (except for some fills), it would play a little better.
  10.
  11. 4. In the section after the piano break in the middle, there was one kick note in the pattern that was completely inaudible to me. I don't have a MBT, but you should know the part I'm talking about. I'd suggest going back and making sure there's actually a kick in the stem there - if there actually is, bring it up in the mix.
  12.
  13. 5. Leave a few seconds after the last R note before the chart ends. It was strange hitting the last note and all of a sudden *whoosh*, the fretboard flew away.
  14.
  15. 6. This is not a 5-dotter on drums. It should be a 3... maybe a 4, but I think even that would be pushing it.
  16.
  17. Also, you probably want to change the preview away from the beginning of the song.
  18.
  19. Great first pass, though! Really enjoyed the song, too!
