- Dear Corsair,
- Recently i build the pc with the parts i just listed, it is very stable and works great, but...
- Whenever i want to boot up my pc without having to get a bluescreen when windows launches i have to do a "MemOK" procedure that's part of my overclockers mainboard.
- The MemOK function uses a AI to search for optimal memory configurations, though for some reason i have to redo it during every boot in order to avert a BSOD.
- I tried applying the timings in the bios by hand (8-8-8-24) but it still is not enough to make my computer boot and perform stable.
- The motherboard is capable of setting very a large amount parameters for the memory though aside from the 4 values that are listed everywhere i have no clue of what the other values should be.
- My guess is that in the default settings the memory isnt adressed correctly which result in bluescreens.
- I'll try to list the the options i have in my bios (with the bios DEFAULT values next to them):
- DRAM Frequency: 1237Mhz
- Timing based configurations:
- CAS Latency 8
- RAS to CAS Delay 8
- RAS PRE Time 8
- RAS ACT Time 24
- READ to PRE Time 4
- Row Cycle Time 27
- Write Recovery Time 8
- RAS to RAS delay 4
- READ to WRITE Delay 8
- WRITE to READ Delay (DD) 10
- WRITE to READ Delay (SD) 4
- WRITE to WRITE Timing 3
- READ to READ Timing 3
- REF Cycle Time 110
- Refresh Rate 7.8
- Command rate 1T
- Driving Configurations:
- DCT0 info:
- CKE drive strength 1.5X
- CS/ODT drive strength 1.5X
- ADDR/CMD drive strength 1.5X
- MEMCLK drive strength 1.5X
- Data drive strength 1X
- DQS drive strength 1X
- Processor ODT 60ohms
- DCT1 info:
- CKE drive strength 1.5X
- CS/ODT drive strength 1.5X
- ADDR/CMD drive strength 1.5X
- MEMCLK drive strength 1.5X
- Data drive strength 1X
- DQS drive strength 1X
- Processor ODT 60ohms
- Voltages:
- DRAM Voltage 1.65
- VDDR Voltage 1.205
- DRAM CTRL REF Voltage 0.5
- DRAM DATA REF Voltage 0.5
- I hope that its possible to find the flaw in the configuration, or to determine if i have faulty memory.
- The strange thing is, whenever i used the MemOK the computer wil run super stable, running for over several weeks (and going through several prime95 torture tests) without any crashes or hangups, so thats why i dont thing the memory isnt faulty.
- Also my computer is being cooled properly by a Corsair H50 CPU cooler and a Corsair Airflow DDR cooler, housed in a 800D case.
- With four 120mm Noctua fans and a two 140mm Corsair fans controlled by a NZXT Sentry LX fancontroller unit.
- So heat wouldnt be a issue.
- Memtest did gave me errors if both memory banks were present, the amount was a five figure number, after one pass.
- Though if i tested them one by one in slot 1 they didnt show any errors after one pass
- In slot 3 (the one linked to slot1) i got 25 errors after one pass
- Regards,
- Miss Stabby (in the official one is my real name actually)
