  1. Part I
  2.
  3. >"This can't be happening. This isn't real! I don't deserve this! What if my mom finds out?! She'll kill me!"
  4. >Sabrina had never felt so defeated. Her whole world was crumbling down. Her greatest fear in the world was slowly becoming a reality.
  5. >She was given a detention. She was caught sleeping during Algebra, after multiple warnings. It is just unbelievable how a girl like Sabrina could be guilty of such horrible act.
  6. >The girl that, if only she could go through an entire season without suffering a mayor injury, would be the exemplar student-athlete.
  7. >An amazingly applied student with ridiculous grades and beloved by almost every teacher, and a very skilled cheerleader when she can manage to get a run of performances without getting hurt, Sabrina is the last person you would expect to find in school detention.
  8. >But today, it happened. Her begging and excuses had been dismissed by an unmoved Skullnick. She had no choice to dejectedly walk back to her seat and make an effort not to cry.
  9. >"Oh come one, Sabs!" Said Janna encouragingly, "Detention is not so bad, you just sit in a room for an hour and quietly mind your own business. As long as you don't make a scene you'll be fine. The guy even let's us play Monopoly in the back! It'll be fun! Lucky for you Marco and I have detention too!"
  10. >"Oh yeah, you guys are a thing now, I almost forgot. Good for you...wait how did you both get detention, Marco of all people?"
  11. >"Uhhh...nothing...of importance. You know how some teachers are."
  12. >"OH BY THE WAY!" Skullnick yelled to the class, "MR. WILSON CALLED IN SICK TODAY, SO DETENTION WILL BE MOVED TO MY ROOM, AND I EXPECT YOU TROUBLEMAKERS TO BEHAVE, OR ELSE!" Skullnick cracked her fingers menacingly.
  13. >"Shit." Janna's smugness and color drained out of her face completely.
  14.
  15. >"Alright...I guess detention just got a lot more interesting." Said Sabrina ironically.
  16. >"No, no, no way. No way in hell I'm gonna go." Said Janna, almost panicking, "I'm not prepared for something like Skullnick. Do you have any idea what she'll do
  17. to us? We won't survive a minu-"
  18. >"MS. RAIMONDI!" Janna suddenly froze in fear, "I AM AWARE YOU HAVE DETENTION TODAY, BUT TRUST ME, I CAN COME UP WITH SOMETHING WORSE, SO IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU YOU'LL SHUT UP NOW!"
  19. >"...yes, Ms. Skullnick..." She said faintly. It seemed like Janna was slowly shrinking in size. Sabrina had never seen her so scared and submissive before.
  20. >"We'll talk during lunch." Sabrina whispered. Janna did not answer at all.
  21. >After what seemed like an eternity, the class finally dismissed following the bell. Both girls grabbed their lunch and headed to an empty table.
  22. >"So this is how it ends,"
  23. Said Janna trying to sound optimistic, "murdered in cold blood by a giant troll. Could have been worse, couldn't it?"
  24. >Marco walked by the table carrying a tray.
  25. >"Hey girls, how ya doi-"
  26. >"Marco, this is a very bad situation and I have no time for you please go away."
  27. >"Ok then, I'll just go eat with the guys then." Marco walked off without seeming at all concerned.
  28. >"Okay?...So, what are we gonna do?" Said Sabrina taking a bite of her sandwich.
  29. >"I don't know! We can't just skip it! There's always a roll call and Skullnick of all people will make sure EVERYONE's there."
  30. >"It's going to take a miracle then...wait, I think I have an idea."
  31. >"Barging into the janitor room and chug down all the bleach we can find until we drop dead?"
  32. >"Um, no. I was thinking we could use Star's help. Maybe she can figure a way out of there."
  33. >"Oh yeah that was plan B."
  34.
  35. >The girls found Star chatting with some friends on the ground. Among these friends were Jackie and Hope.
  36. >"Hey, Star." Said Sabrina.
  37. >"Hi Sabrina!" Star jumped up and gave her a hug, "what's up?"
  38. >"Well, the thing is, we need your help. We're stuck in detention today and we really, REALLY, need a way out of it. We thought you could know how to help us out."
  39. >"Ouch," interrupted Jackie, "I heard Skullnick is running detention for the day. That must suck bad."
  40. >"That's what we fear. Star, could you help us, pleeeeeaaaaaase?"
  41. >"Uhh...I mean, I'd love to, but that means I'd have to get myself in detention too. And I don't think I would love the idea of..."
  42. >Fearing the worst, Sabrina resorted to the cheapest of manipulation tactics...Puppy Eyes.
  43. >Star tried to fight it with all the strength hidden inside her Mewman DNA, but Sabrina's begging turned out to be a formidable adversary. >The staring contest must have lasted a full minute by now. However, the blonde was losing ground, fast. She felt her eye twitch and her body tense up horribly, but Sabrina didn't bulge.
  44. >"Argh, fine! I'll do it! But you owe me some ice cream for this. And the expensive kind!"
  45. >"What are you gonna do, Star?" Asked Hope.
  46. >"I have a plan. And boy, this is going to be a good one." Star rubbed her hands mischievously like a super-villain.
  47.
  48. >Marco was calmly eating his lunch with Alphonso and Ferguson.
  49. >He was aware that he too was stuck with Skullnick for the afternoon, but was determined not to let him get to him.
  50. >Or so he thought.
  51. >Star loudly opened the doors to the cafeteria, followed by the girls.
  52. >"ULTIMATE FOOD FIGHT!" Star blasted a spell-beam at the cafeteria's ceiling. As soon as it hit, the blast turned into what seemed like some colorful salt falling slowly from the ceiling.
  53. >Suddenly, all the food came to life and started an attack on the students. They weren't actually that harmful, but they were certainly terrifying to everyone inside.
  54. >Star stood proudly at the mess she created, and patiently waited for her doom to arrive. It would come in the form of who else, Skullnick, who also parted as a security guard during lunch time.
  55. >With one crushing hand, she grabbed Star and screamed in her ear.
  56. >"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING, YOUNG LADY!? UNDO THIS IMMEDIATELY!"
  57. >"Whoops, sorry." With a flick of her wand, the food went back to normal.
  58. At last, Marco could get some air after being trapped in a big pile of spagetti.
  59. >"ENDANGERING STUDENTS' LIFE AND DAMAGING SCHOOL PROPERTY?! I SHOULD CALL THE POLICE AND YOUR TINY BLONDE ASS! YOU'RE LUCKY I'M IN A GOOD MOOD TODAY! YOU HAVE DETENTION!"
  60. >"Oh no! Detention! Not detention! That's the last thing in the world I would want right now!" Said Star ironically.
  61. >"WELL THAT'S WHAT YOU'RE GETTING! ALL OF YOU PUNKS!" She pointed at the group.
  62. >"What!? What did I do?!" Asked Hope.
  63. >"I SAID DETENTION, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND OR DO I HAVE TO REPEAT IT." Spit came flying from her mouth.
  64. >"No, I get it..." She wiped the troll saliva from her face.
  65. >"Welp, there goes my Friday." Said Jackie, wondering why was she even there in the first place.
  66.
  67. >Skullnick left the floor so she could eat her weight in meat peacefully.
  68. >"What was that for?" Marco approached the girls.
  69. >"It's all part of the plan, Marco. And you're involved," she turned to the rest of the group, "Girls, phase 1 was a total success! Now onto phase 2...I don't think we can do it here! To the bathroom!" Star ran to the bathroom. The girls followed closely, and Marco, after some hesitation followed as well.
  70. >Inside the bathroom was Leah, who was washing her hands when she saw them enter.
  71. >"Hey! Wait a minute, he can be he-"
  72. >"No time!" Said Star as she nonchalantly blasted her with her wand.
  73. >"Wha-wha-what the heck, Star! Is she breathing!? Somebody check her pulse!" Sabrina panicked as Marco rushed to check her.
  74. >"She'll be fine! She's just gonna sleep for two-three..." She quickly blasted Leah's unconscious body again, "Five minutes! And that's all we need! She won't remember a thing!"
  75.
  76. >"Unconvincious Multiplious!"
  77. >Star casted a spell that created carbon copies of every individual in the bathroom, including one of Leah that lived for a total of 5 seconds before she was turned into dust by Star.
  78. >These clones stood perfectly still. They did not look at anyone or anything. All they did was breathe.
  79. >"Wow, that is uncanny!" Said Hope looking at her clone.
  80. >"These "clones", as realistic as they look, are very limited. They have no personality, and blindly follow orders. Look. Star, massage my back." Clone-Star suddenly came to life and walked around her to give her a massage.
  81. >"As I was saying, these clones are only going to swap pl-oh that's really good keep going-swap places with us after Skullnick knows we're there...um Janna what are you doing."
  82. >Janna was standing on one knee with her head under her clone's skirt. "You know these things are...disturbingly, anatomically correct. Too correct...have you been watching me shower?
  83. >"Uh...no? The wand does it by itself. So anyways, we still have to find a way to sneak them in for ourselves, and we're running out of time. So we'll think about something later. Clones! In two minutes you will leave this bathroom and hide somewhere where people won't see you!"
  84. >"Okay, let's get out of here before someone finds out! Said Sabrina, pushing out the group.
  85. >"Wait!" Interrupted Jackie, "What do we do with that girl?" She pointed at Leah.
  86. >"We only have a minute left, sit her on a toilet or something!" Said Star.
  87. >"Okay, Hope! Help me lift her!" The girls grabbed Leah and sat her down on the toilet. Hope closed the door to behind her as a habit.
  88. >"You're gonna have to pull her panties down if she's ever gonna believe she just passed out on the toilet!" Joked Janna from the other side of the door.
  89. >"Shit, I think you're right, Janna." She heard Jackie's voice
  90. >"I am pretty sure this is considered molesting and I won't take any part of it!" Said Hope.
  91. >"Fine I'll do it." Said Jackie.
  92. >"Girls," Janna tried to interrupt, "I was just jok-"
  93. >She was stopped by the opening door
  94. >"See? That wasn't too bad. Now there's no room for suspicions." Said Jackie as she walked out the door.
  95. >Janna inclined her body to the side peek around the semi-open door.
  96. >"Heh, I guess the carpet does match the drapes. Could have sworn she dyed." Janna said as she slammed the door shut.
  97.
  98. Part II
  99.
  100. >The clock was ticking, and detention was only getting closer. It was five minutes before the final bell, and the convicts were impatiently waiting for Star to make a move.
  101. >Sabrina was finishing up the details for her art project when she received a group message from Star. It had been created specifically for the plan.
  102. >"CAFETERIA BATHROOM. NOW." -Star
  103. >"Can't do! I can't leave the band room in the middle of rehearsal or I'll get executed! See you in five." -Hope.
  104. >"Same here, can't get out of P.E." -Jackie
  105. >"On my way, did you find the clones?" -Janna
  106. >"Yeah they r here with me. Come quickly." -Star
  107. >"I really hope you have a plan, Star. If not, I don't think this is worth the trouble." -Marco
  108. >"Relax Marco, this time I DO have a plan and it's going to work out just fine, trust me." -Star
  109. >The teens available at the moment met at the girls bathroom inside the cafeteria for the second time in the same day. Thankfully, nobody had to be shot with magic this time.
  110. >"What's the plan, Star? Asked Marco, "Detention starts in 10 minutes and you still haven't told us what to do."
  111. >"Easy. You, Sabrina, Hope, Jackie and I are gonna walk inside with Janna's clone and try to make her act as convincingly as possible, but that means we might have to divert all attention from her. In the meantime, Janna's going to shut down the school power system to lure Skullnick outside. While she's outside, we move in the clones and we get the heck out of there."
  112.
  113. >"Wait, why do you assume I know how to turn down the power?" Asked Janna, mildly offended.
  114. >"Lucky guess. DO you know how to do it?"
  115. >"Yes..."
  116. >"Good, so that's what we're doing. As soon as we have to clones inside, everything should be fine from there. The clones will do whatever Skullnick tells them to do without protesting and we won't have to suffer whatever she's planning to torture us."
  117. >As soon as she finished explaining, the final bell of the day rang, and all students were dismissed and good to go home
  118. >All but those poor fools that got themselves detention today of all days.
  119. >"That's the bell, we have to go Star," Sabrina interrupted, "we'll explain to the rest of the group when we get there."
  120. >"Alright, Janna stay here and don't go anywhere until we tell you. Janna-clone, follow us closely."
  121. >Janna's clone began walking towards Star. Even after it walked into her, the clone kept walking as if it tried to somehow get inside of her.
  122. >"Wow wow, too close! Too close! Star yelled in panic.
  123. >The clone then backed away to a more comfortable position.
  124. >"Okay, let's just ignore that happened. Let's go, Team Butterflies! Let's go beat detention!"
  125. >"I did not agree to that name." Said Marco as he opened the door for the rest of the group.
  126.
  127. >The group eventually made it to Ms. Skullnick's room. While it looked like any other classroom in the school, there was something terrifying. Maybe it was the gigantic troll that sits on that desk everyday, but who knows.
  128. >A few seconds later, the other girls arrived. Jackie just got out of P.E. class, and didn't bother changing into normal clothes. Hope in the other hand, was carrying a big, black case that looked like it was made to carry a rocket launcher.
  129. >"Hope, what the heck are you carrying? We can't escape with that!" Star pointed at the suspected rocket launcher.
  130. >"Why, it's my sax. I'm taking it home to practice during the weekend."
  131. >"Well, you're gonna have to take your "sex" back-" She was interrupted by Jackie's giggling, "What, I don't get it, what's so funny."
  132. >"Nothing, nothing." Jackie composed herself, "go ahead."
  133. >"So anyways," Star rolled her eyes, "that thing makes you a liability, Hope. And you know what happens to liabilities in combat, Hope!?"
  134. >"Um...no?" Hope took a precautionary step backwards.
  135. >"You kill them before they get you killed!" She pointed at her neck with the wand.
  136. >At this point Hope was shaking and tears were ready to leak out her eyes.
  137. >"But of course I'm not gonna do that (because the situation doesn't command at this moment), it's just a warning in case you REALLY become a liability in combat and you really have to die. It's just useful stuff to know."
  138. >"Oh...okay? I...guess that's useful...yeah." She pretended to calm down.
  139. >"So girls, we have 20 seconds left so here's the plan. Janna-here-is-not-Janna-she-is-a-clone-we-go-inside-real-Janna-shuts-power-we-switch-with-clones-and-we-win. Understood."
  140. >Everyone responded with a blank face and heavy blinking.
  141. >"Good. Let's do this, Team Butter-"
  142. >"DETENTION STARTS NOW! Skullnick shrieked from inside.
  143. >"Here we go." Sabrina whispered to herself.
  144.
  145. >Before the group entered Ms. Skullnick's room, Star blocked everyone up for an additional word.
  146. >"Alright, if this is going to work we need not draw attention to out group, so it's better if we spread out across the room. However we need someone to sit close to "Janna" I'm case it's needed."
  147. >"I'll do it." said Marco.
  148. >She grabbed the clone by the hand and led her to a seat in the middle of the room. He heard an "Aww" from the crowd of girls behind her that he decided to ignore.
  149. >"Alright, spread out girls." Sabrina ordered, "Hope, you need to put that sax somewhere safe just in case things go ballistic, which they might."
  150. >"Alright, I'll just set put it on with the computers so I don't lose track of it.." Answered Hope, putting her case comfortably in-between the ancient computers the school provided.
  151. >Ms. Skullnick was just sitting on her desk looking at the abyss. This is expected behavior, however. Ever since she was turned into a troll, she spends the first ten minutes not doing anything in particular, just sitting idly at her desk.
  152. >Sabrina used this time to look around the room to see who else was unfortunate enough to be there.
  153. >She saw the usual suspects. Lars, who gets spends his day in detention almost everyday. Leah, who got "caught skipping class sleeping inside the bathroom stalls". And Oscar, who apparently had set an new district record of tardies to add to his record of "Most assignments failed due to writing in pencil instead of pen."
  154. >It didn't take long before she noticed Marco sitting behind Janna's clone and playing with her hair as of she was the real one.
  155. >"Heh, that's kinda cute, I didn't really expect them to last a month."
  156. Sabrina thought to herself before putting her head down to get some sleep.
  157.
  158. >9 minutes of the ten have passed. Whatever horrible thing awaits for the teens, it was soon to become a reality.
  159. >Hope looked very stressed. She was constantly adjusting her shirt and taping the desk with her fingers furiously.
  160. >She tried to breathe, and for a moment, it seemed like she was regaining a hold of herself. It did not last long however.
  161. >"Oh-ho-ho?" Hope heard Lars' unmistakably smug voice behind her back. The big bully seemed to have taken an interest on Hope's sax case.
  162. >"It's a saxophone, Lars...please don't touch it." Hope said faintly, looking straight forward.
  163. >"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't think I know or CARE who you are, so shut up. Wow, this thing is shiny!"
  164. >"Don't...touch it." Her tone got dead serious.
  165. >Hope's defiant response only tempted Lars even more. He recklessly grabbed the body of the saxophone and ripped it out of the case.
  166. >"Now, how do I blow on it..." He expected some response from Hope, but didn't get any. He looked up to see where she was sitting but didn't see her. Before he could think think of anything else, he found himself self backed to the wall behind him and his feet off the ground.
  167. >"Listen to me you little prick," she exclaimed menacingly, "I deal with enough shit at home to have deal with your shit too, so you better put down that thing before I beat the bitch out of you!"
  168. >"Hope!?"
  169. >Sabrina's voice reverberated inside Hope's head. She instantly dropped Lars and turned to see a multitude of shocked faces and dropped jaws.
  170. >Lars quickly put the sax where it was and crawled back to his desk.
  171. >Hope had never been in the spotlight like this. She was ready to panic, it became even worse when she looked up to see Skullnick looking at her with her arms crossed, and a smile in her face that Hope could not decrypt the meaning of.
  172.
  173. >"Ms. Roberts," Skullnick said proudly, "Do you have any experience with battle axes?
  174. >"Uh...No?" Hope was very confused.
  175. >"Do you want to learn?"
  176. >At this point Star was absolutely ecstatic. She was almost jumping on her chair and giving Hope approval gestures.
  177. >"Uh, I'll consider it, Ms. Skullnick." She quickly walked back to her desk and sat with her head down.
  178. >"Good. ALRIGHT YOU PUNKS, FUN IS OVER. AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED, WE ARE SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED TODAY. JUST TODAY I HAVE HAD TO TAKE FOUR DIFFERENT ROLES, SO TODAY, DETENTION IS GOING TO BE DIFFERENT. YOU WILL DO WORK FOR THE SCHOOL, JUST AS CLEANING THE CAFETERIA, THE BATHROOMS AND SUCH. DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?"
  179. >"Yes, Ms. Skullnick." The detainees answered in unison.
  180. >"Good. In approximately one minute I will receive instructions to where to take you, so enjoy your sixty seconds of freedom." She sat back down.
  181. >Janna was having some questionable fun with the clones when she received a message from Jackie.
  182. >"BIG problem. Original plan is over. Come quickly. Don't bring the clones yet." -Jackie
  183. >"Welp, that sounds bad. Alright clones, clothes back on, fun is over."
  184.
  185. Part III
  186.
  187. >The minute passed and Skullnick proceeded to look through her e-mail, hoping that she would find the list. Unfortunately for everyone she did.
  188. >"Alright, looks this is the one. Stand up as I call you: Raimondi, Peterson. You are assigned to the kitchen."
  189. >"Stand up." Marco whispered behind her back.
  190. >Janna's clone quickly sprung up from her desk, flipping it over on its side.
  191. >"Raimondi, put the desk back like it was, (freak...), so anyways, there are some trash bags in the cafeteria that need to be thrown into the truck. I expect you to be perfectly able to not screw that up."
  192. >Fortunately, it seemed like a task that was easy enough for Janna's clone to complete. Unfortunately, it looks like they just learned Lars' last name.
  193. >"Looks like I'm paired up with the weirdo," mocked Lars, "you better not try to possess me or something or I'll throw you into the truck too."
  194. >Marco was ready to throw a fit right there, but it wasn't worth it since it was just a clone and not her real girlfriend. Or at least that was his reasoning.
  195. >"Mr. Peterson be quiet. Both of you go to the corner over there. Now we have Thomas, Butterfly, and..."Oskar?" What the heck, I don't have a last name in my system. Strange. You have Gym Floor Wiping. Corner."
  196. >"H-h-h-h-eeeeeey Oskar...how you doing?" Star was melting.
  197. >"Cool, I guess." Oskar answered unenthusiastically. He looked to his side to see Jackie next to him
  198. >"Oh hey, how YOU doing?"
  199. >"Not interested." She shut him down drily.
  200. >"Yeah, so I thought."
  201. >"Diaz ,Mendes, and Little, you have bathrooms. And you, Ms. Roberts," Skullnick pointed at her, "you'll be staying right here with me."
  202. >"Uh, I'm okay with cleaning bathrooms, Ms. Skullnick!" Hope replied.
  203. >"The won't be necessary. I think it's important that you learn some skills, you'll need them in the future."
  204. >"Oh God why." She said to herself.
  205. >"Everything you'll need will be in the Janitor's locker, NOW GET OUT FROM MY EYESIGHT BEFORE I THROW YOU AWAY!" Everyone bolted out of the room. All except for Hope.
  206.
  207. >Hope didn't know what to do. She was caught in an uncomfortable staring contest with Skullnick. The troll just stood there as if it was waiting for something.
  208. >"Ms. Roberts," Skullnick finally spoke, "is there something that troubles you? You look scared. But I don't think you're only scared of me, but of everything else."
  209. >Hope took a moment to think about that. She was caught unaware by the topic, but Skullnick looked legitimately concerned.
  210. >"Um...I guess that's just what my face looks like. Nothing I can do to help it."
  211. >"I don't believe that for a second. When I saw you lift that boy, I didn't see any fear in your face or anywhere in your body. I saw a confident young woman ready to fight for herself and her rights. You remind me of myself when I was your age."
  212. >The girl had never heard something like that said about her. Confidence was not exactly her greatest strength. She had always been a quiet, innocent girl who would never harm a fly. Not even if the fly was trying to kill her.
  213. >"I was very impressed when I saw you stand up for yourself against Lars. That boy must weight like 200 pounds, it would take me at least three fingers to do that. You have some hidden strength, young lady."
  214. >"But I wouldn't ever do that! I-I-I don't know what came over me. I just felt...angry. But it's weird because I never feel angry."
  215. >"Then what DO you feel?"
  216. >"Just kind of...sad." This realization crushed her. She slowly sat on her desk and put her head down. She wanted to cry, and she was just about to before her desk shook suddenly. She looked up to see a fire axe laying in front of her.
  217. >"I figured that one of my battle axes might be too big for you," said Skullnick, "but I think this is more suited for you."
  218. >"It's...for me?" Hope eyes teared up.
  219. >"If you ever want to learn how to defend yourself, just come to me. You have potential, young lady. It'd be a shame if it's went to waste. So, do you like it?"
  220. >"I love it!" Hope sprung up and gave Skullnick a ridiculously tight hug.
  221. >"Ok, ok, that's enough..." She tried to get her off, "Ms. Roberts I don't want to have to slice your arms off.
  222. >"I-I'm sorry, Ms. Skullnick," she wiped the tears from her face, "and thank you, sorry for putting this scene, it's just that people don't do many nice things for me..."
  223. >"And once you grow some self-belief, trust me, you'll have the world at your feet. Now, you were actually supposed to help with the trash bags, so you should go there now."
  224. >"Thank you, Ms. Skullnick, I'll go immediately." She picked up her new fire axe and ran down the hall to the cafeteria.
  225.
  226. >The girl looked like she just won the lottery. She was skipping and singing down the hall, hugging the axe tightly to her chest.
  227. >Hope had never felt so appreciated in her life. While the gift was likely just something Skullnick had sitting around, it meant the entire world to her. Her parents are too busy arguing and fighting that they never actually are parents to her, so finding a weirdly maternal figure on Skullnick filled her heart with joy.
  228. >Her prancing was suddenly interrupted by a hand that jammed her from the side.
  229. >"Whooooooaa, easy girl!" Janna struggled to stop her, "the heck came over you? You look like the acid just hit...and what the flying fuck are you doing with an axe!?"
  230. >"Oh, this? It was a gift from Ms. Skullnick! Isn't it lovely?!"
  231. >"It's a fire axe, Hope. So anyways, who are you out to kill with that thing?"
  232. >"Nobody, Janna! It's a gift! I'm going to the cafeteria to help out Janna and...Oh crap!," The girl turned almost pale, "your clone got assigned to Lars! We got to get her ASAP!" The girl started running down the hall desperately.
  233. >"There's something seriously wrong with that girl," Janna thought, "one day she is just depressing to be around, the other...she is just skipping around with an axe on her hands. I wonder if she'll turn out a murderer."
  234.
  235. >At the opposite side of the school, Janna's clone was quickly and efficiently moving the trash bags assigned to her, while Lars was merely an spectator, barking orders from a distance.
  236. >"Hey! Make sure those bags don't break or you'll be cleaning that on your own! By the way, I like your new attitude, you're a lot more useful this way.
  237. >The clone ignored his mockery and continued to put away bags that we're getting bigger and bigger by the bag, but she seemed to handle it easily.
  238. >At that rate, their punishment would be over before the half-hour mark and they'd be able to relax for the remainder of "detention". Or so it seemed until she grabbed a heavy bag that the kitchen staff irresponsibly filled with glass bottles among the trash. Before it could make it to the truck, the trash bag ripped open and dropped its contents on the ground, breaking the glass even more.
  239. >"What the hell you shitcunt!?" Lars rushed towards her and stood behind her back. "Do you want to get us in more trouble or are you just that much of a retard?" The clone just looked forward and didn't respond. This angered him.
  240. >"Look at me when I'm talking to you, you weirdo!" The clone turned around to face him, and gave him a blank expression. Unfortunately, Janna's straight face looks slightly smug.
  241. >"Do you think this is funny? Do you think I'm just gonna accept your stupidity while you get ME in trouble?!"
  242. >"..."
  243. >"Oh, fuck off!"
  244. >Out of rage, Lars pushed the clone into the pile of garbage. The sound of crushing glass was overshadowed by a scream of pain.
  245. >The clones didn't have any particular feelings ,emotions, or any sense of independence, but they were still functioned like normal humans. They experienced thirst, hunger, and pain. They just couldn't act upon these things.
  246. >As soon as she was able to fight off the pain, the clone slowly got up on its feet and looked at Lars with bloody murder in its eyes.
  247. >"Oh what's the matter with you? Do you want to fight? It's that what you want...oh shit." He suddenly stopped acting tough. There was blood coming down the back of Janna's leg.
  248. >It didn't take long before he realized that his push was the one that got her hurt and became afraid of being held responsible for it.
  249.
  250. >"Uh...well, yeah that was my bad. Are we cool?" Lars tried to fake friendliness.
  251. >However clones don't respond to friendliness. These clones, as Star forgot to even read about, are actually practice dummies that Mewmans use for combat training, that way, it's more realistic. They are expert fighters and WILL kill unless instructed to stop. There are two ways to trigger their combat mode. One, order to fight, and two, attack them.
  252. >The clone launched at Lars and began to knee him in the stomach until there wasn't a bit of air in his lungs.
  253. >It then hopped back, and hopped in again to right-hook him in the face, sending the bully to the ground. Lars didn't get a second to recover his breath before she got on top of him and beat him relentlessly on his face.
  254. >Lars committed the fatal mistake of turning on his back to protect his face. The clone got back on its feet, pulled his arm from under his stomach and stretched it completely.
  255. >"What the hell are you...OH GOD, NO NO!"
  256. >She lifted the arm from the ground, and raised her leg to break it. The clone prepared itself to stomp his elbow with all it's strength, but was stopped in mid-air by a cry from afar.
  257. >"JANNA STOP!"
  258. >Hope made it just in time before it was too late for him. The clone dropped Lars' arm and backed away.
  259. >"Oh God, her friend's gonna kill me herself!" He screamed in terror.
  260. >"What do you mean I'm gonna..." She realized she was holding her fire axe, "Oh I'm not gonna kill you with this!"
  261. >"You mean you have something worse!?"
  262. >"I mean I'm not gonna harm you at all! Get up!" Seeing Lars scared for his life gave Hope a morbid sense of power. He was a little dog waiting to punished, he was helpless and at her mercy. But she wasn't like that, she had to explain the situation and try to calm him down, but she couldn't deny the fact that it would have been nice to unleash that power on someone else, for a change.
  263.
  264. >Just a moment later, Janna arrived to the truck parking area after lazily walking at her own pace.
  265. >"Hey, how are you guys liking your chor-holy crap you guys got fucked up." She saw Lars sitting in a corner, heavily bruised, head in between his knees and whimpering like a puppy. She then turned to see Hope removing chunk of glass from her clone's bloody back.
  266. >"Hope, I thought you said you weren't gonna try to kill anyone." Janna teased her.
  267. >"Janna, I don't have time for that, I'm here trying to fix up your clone because it got hurt bad."
  268. >"Why do you care so much, it's just a clone."
  269. >"Turns out they feel pain, Janna, just like everybody else. It's in pain right now and I'm not gonna leave it like that."
  270. >"Whatever you say, girl. So what even happened here?"
  271. >"I don't know exactly what happened, when I got here, the clone was already beating the living crap out of him. If I had gotten here a second later she would have broken his arm in half. She had lots of glass in her back and a lot of blood coming out of the wounds. Lars won't tell me why it happened, he is not saying anything at all."
  272. >"Wait, wait a second." She out her finger on her mouth to think. "Are we using 'her' or 'it' to refer to the clone, it seems like we're switching back and forth."
  273. >"Goddammit Janna, that doesn't matter right now."
  274. >"Fine, I'm JOKING. You have as much sense of humor as freaking Skullnick."
  275. >"Maybe that's a good thing. Anyways, are we still doing the thing with the clones? It seems like the right time to put the plan into effect now that the hard part's done."
  276. >"Oh yeah, the other clones, I forgot we were doing that thing. Guess I should go do that. Then we can go to Denny's or something."
  277. >"Sounds good, but hurry up. Time is running out."
  278. >Janna walked away. Hope resumed fixing the clone up. She was being very delicate with it and even tried to comfort it every now and then when it felt pain.
  279. >"You're gonna be fine. Just hold on a little longer and well be done. This must hurt a lot, but I'm sure you can handle it." It was like talking to a dog. You know it can't understand a word you say, but somehow it leaves you a warm feeling inside.
  280.
  281. Part IV
  282.
  283. >Among the teens sentenced to detention todaywas Leah, who was completely outraged at the fact she's there today.
  284. >"I swear! One minute I'm just using the bathroom to wash my hands, the next one I'm 3 hours into the future sitting in the toilet! Can you believe it?!" Said Leah as she wiped the dirty floor.
  285. >"Yeah, " Sabrina feigned interest, "that sounds really weird. Maybe you should go see a doctor about that."
  286. >"No, it's not like that I swear! I'm not insane! One minute I'm washing my hand-"
  287. >"Third time you say that," Sabrina interrupted, "wait, isn't the definition of insanity something along the lines of doing something multipl"
  288. >"OH GOD I AM INSANE!" The girl dropped to her knees and pulled on Sabrina's skirt in desperation, "HELP ME SABRINA! I DON'T WANNA GO MAD! THE FUTURE NEVER LOOKS WELL WHEN YOU'RE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE, HOW DO I GET IT OUT OF ME!"
  289. >"Okaaaaaaaaay..." Sabrina made a half-hearted effort to push her away with one hand, "let's settle down now, I'm sure there's a solution to this other than going berserk on my cheerleading uniform."
  290. >Leah immediately let go of her and got up on her feet with her hands behind her back.
  291. >"Now let's think," Sabrina planned her hands on Leah's head, "being insane is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result right?"
  292. >The girl nodded like a puppy.
  293. >"So what should you do?"
  294. >"Never say anything again and expect people to believe me?"
  295. >"Uh...yeah...yeah, let's go with that. Now, we have a whole other bathroom to go through so we should get back to work. Hey Marco, how you hanging in there?"
  296. >The stall door opened. Behind it was Marco, whose face looked like it those cartoons after someone sees a ghost.
  297.
  298. >"There was blood...in the toilet...in the trash can...everywhere. Why...is there blood everywhere."
  299. >"First girls bathroom, eh? Quite lovely ain't it."
  300. >"I...I'm just gonna go outside for a second..." Marco made his way outside the bathroom and opened the door.
  301. >"Nasty-ass motherfu-mmph!" his rant was cut short by Janna who caught him by surprise and kissed him. Only after a few seconds did he let him go, however his face looked a little more satisfied than before.
  302. >"Hey Janna...how you doing?"
  303. >"You're never gonna call me babe, aren't you."
  304. >"Nah, I don't like that kind of stuff. Doesn't feel right. I see you brought some friends with you."
  305. >Behind her were all the clones, who were just standing idly behind her.
  306. >"Yep, got some fresh replacement so I can get your lazy asses out of here. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna bring them in, follow me clones!" Janna barged into the girls bathroom.
  307. >"Wait, wait, wait, wait, oh noes."
  308. >"Oh hey Janna! Hey Marco! Hey Sabri...na?" She turned her head to see the cheerleader standing right next to her.
  309. >"What the heck is going on? OH GOD IS TRUE I'M GOING INSANE. Wait. No. I'm seeing this. This is actually happening. I'm not crazy, I'm not crazy. I'M NOT CRAZY!"
  310. >"Yeesh. Uh, I can explain. You're not crazy AT ALL. I can explain everything. Just close your eyes and everything will make sense."
  311. >"Oh, okay!" Leah closed her eyes enthousiastically, then Janna moved behind her.
  312. >"Now the key to full sanity is to relax, breath," Janna pulled on her hair and put pressure in the back of her neck with her thumb. Leah only let out a little yelp before dropping unconscious to the floor.
  313. >"Janna, what was that for." Sabrina didn't even sound shocked at all.
  314. >"Oh, that? Just a little trick I learned some time ago. The reason why, is because even if I explained it to her, she would then ask where her clone was, and we all know how that one ended up. We'll deal with her shit later. Now follow me, people, let's bring these clones to Star and the rest."
  315.
  316. >The released teens walked to the gym to find the rest. It wasn't a short stretch by any means. There was a wide-open courtyard and a long hallway in between them.
  317. >"You know, I feel really bad for her," Sabrina commented, "second time she gets knocked out in one day. Poor girl must have some serious brain damage by now."
  318. >"Oh, THAT I know," replied Janna, "Honestly that girl had always been weird. You know there this one time was I saw her talking to herself in the mirror. Well, not just talking, ARGUING with herself, like full-blown debates with her reflection. Sometimes she doesn't even win."
  319. >"Well, I just hope she turns out alright. Oh by the way, where's Hope?"
  320. >"Hope is doing fine. She got herself a fire axe! It's Lars that is a concern. He got beat up by my clone after he tried to bully it. That kid never learns."
  321. >"Serves him well. I really hate that guy. And I don't throw that word around lightly."
  322. >After a solid six minutes of walking, the teens made it to the school gymnasium.
  323. >Sabrina went for the door to open it, but as soon as she did there came a very loud thud from inside.
  324. >"What was that?" Marco panicked.
  325. >"Didn't sound good. Hopefully it's nothing." The girl opened the door. She saw Star standing in the middle of the basketball court, her face full of purple mewberty hearts. Sabrina turned to see Oskar stuck to a wall, surrounded by purple stuff, and what looked like Jackie, who laid motionless next to Star.
  326.
  327. >"STAR!? What the hell are you doing!?" Sabrina exclaimed, "I thought you said this wast gonna happen ever again!"
  328. >"I-I-I thought so! That's what the books told me! But I've never been in the same room as Oskar for such a long time...it just kind of happening on its own!
  329. >Marco instinctively hopped in front of the group and placed his legs in a combat stance, even if he didn't want to fight her.
  330. >"Star, just listen to me," Said Marco, "I know you're not in full control but you gotta try to help me here, " Star nodded in response, "slowly back away and sit down, just relax and try."
  331. >The girl carefully backed away from her victims and sat down on the recently wiped floor.
  332. >"Good. Now just stay where you are and breathe. I'm going to get Jackie first, don't panic or anything. Just breathe.
  333. >The boy, even more carefully, approached Jackie who was still unconscious. But before Marco could take a third step, the skater slowly came back to her senses.
  334. >"Oh God, my head hurts so bad, what even happe-
  335. >She couldn't finish the sentence before purple hearts jumped from the gym walls and slowly formed a mountain on top of her, as if it were to asphyxiate her. Jackie's screams, although muffled, were deafening in Marco's ears.
  336. >"STAR STOP!"
  337. >"I'M DOING THIS I SWEAR!" The girl could only pull in her hair and panic.
  338. >Marco hesitated for a second, but eventually decided to make a run for
  339. it to somehow dig Jackie out, but the hearts let go of Jackie and launched towards Marco like a giant cannonball, sending sliding across the floor. Jackie, however, took this opportunity to get up and away to a safe distance.
  340. >"Marco, are you alright!?" Janna rushed to check on him.
  341. >"Yeah...just give a minute to lay down here." Marco answered in pain.
  342. >Star got up on her feet and slowly walked towards Oskar's purple trap. Every step she took closer, she looked less like herself more like the monsters from Mewberty and You.
  343. >Suddenly someone kicked the door to the gym open.
  344. >"JANNA! I KNOW WHAT YOU DID! COME HERE YOU LITTLE BIT-" Startled by the high-pitch yelling, Star sent a group of hearts to blast her out of the gym.
  345. >"Jesus Christ, it must suck to be her today." Sabrina exited the gym to make sure Leah wasn't dead this time.
  346.
  347. >"Hi Oskar," Star ran her fingers across the poor boy's face, while her own face was almost turning completely purple, "we can do this the easy way, and have some fun in the process..."
  348. >"U-uh-uh I don't think I'm down for this," Oskar struggled to break free unsuccessfully, "you guys need to get me put of here! This shit's scary!"
  349. >"OR WE CAN DO IT THE HARD WAY. EITHER WAY YOU'RE MINE!" Her voice changed completely. Her body turned completely purple and her wings fully deployed. Her eyes glowed, and extra arms grew from her torso. She once again the monster that terrorized the school not too long ago.
  350. >Everyone sort of hoped someone else would try something. That resulted in the teens just standing there and not helping. But a brilliant idea crossed through Janna's mind.
  351. >"Clones!" Janna ordered, "Free that boy and bring him safely. Do what you must but do NOT kill her!"
  352. >Her army of five spread and rushed to the rescue. Hope and Sabrina's clones ran to Oskar to free him, while Marco, Star and Jackie surrounded Mewberty Star. The monster jumped and flapped her wings away from her attackers.
  353. >"Star, you don't have to do this!" Marco yelled from afar, "we don't want to hurt you!"
  354. >She ignored this and turned to see Oskar almost completely dug out from his trap, and she wasn't having any of that. She launched downwards with her legs in front, and kicked both clones in the back of their necks and against the wall. She grabbed both clones and threw them in the direction of the spectators.
  355. >"Holy fuck...they are dead," Janna could tell from a distance, "she actually fucking killed them. What the fuck."
  356. >Marco knew they were just some clones created by magic, but they were still biologically human. The sight of their corpses made Marco so nauseous he almost threw up.
  357. >"Withdraw your soldiers or they're next! NOW!"
  358. >"Guys...c-come back. Let her be..."
  359. >The remaining clones turned around and walked back to the crowd of teens.
  360. >The monster slowly floated to Oskar, who only had his upped body free. It seemed that nothing was getting in between her and her dream boy. That until someone barged through the door from the opposite side of the gym.
  361. >"NOW WHAT!?"
  362. >It was no other than Ms. Skullnick and Hope, both carrying their axes and fully battle-armored.
  363. >"Alright, Skullnick. Let's make this fifteen minutes worth it!" Hope pointed her fire axe at Star. "Bring it on, freak!"
  364. >"AND YOU'RE GETTING EN EXTRA DAY OF DETENTION FOR THE LITTLE PLOT YOU FOOLS WERE TRYING TO GET AWAY WITH!"
  365. >A door opened from behind all the mayhem. "Hey guys," Sabrina said cheerfully, "Leah looks like she's gonna be alright, did you guys deal with St-oh...I'm just gonna come back in five..." She slowly closed the door and backed away.
  366.
  367. Part V
  368.
  369. >"Okay, what do we do now?" Hope looked at Skullnick for an answer.
  370. >"I don't know, Roberts. She looks like a tough one. Spread!" Both combatants ran to surround the monster from each side.
  371. >"Hope, what the hell do you think you're doing?!" Janna flapped her arms around, trying to get her attention, "You're gonna get yourself killed! You CAN'T beat her, besides, we've already tried that!"
  372. >"What do you mean killed? I know she looks like a monster, but she's still Star!" Hope's argument was invalidated immediately when she turned around to see her own corpse, "OH WHAT THE FUC-", she dropped her axe to cover his mouth before she could say some barbarity.
  373. >"Oh dear god...no, I can't do this. I'm sorry Ms. Skullnick, but I want no part of this. It ain't worth it!" Her eyes covered in tears as she ran away from the scene.
  374. >"It's okay child, I knew you weren't ready anyways," Skullnick said this especially loud so she could hear it, "Well, I guess SOMEONE has to the dirty job in the end."
  375. >Hope stopped just before she could flee through the door. Conflict took over her mind and body. Her head was telling her to save herself and let Skullnick deal with the situation; she was a big, strong troll warrior anyways. But her concience wouldn't let her abandon the only one that had taken some pity and sympathy on her. She knew she only had so much time to make a call before the call was made for her.
  376. >Skullnick took a deep breath and charged against Star, jumping three feet and swinging her axe powerfully, hitting the target with the body of the axe.
  377. >The sheer force of the impact swatted Star off the air and into the wall, missing Oskar by inches. The axe, however, broke the battle axe in half.
  378. >"Darn it," she dropped what was now a black stick rather than a weapon, "I guess I couldn't REALLY use it on her, besides I need no weapon."
  379. >She took the opportunity while Star was down and dazed and ran at her unarmed. Unfortunately for her, Star was able to shake the dizziness off and fly away. She buzzed back around, grabbed Skullnick by the hair and threw it against the basketball hoop.
  380. >A crunching sound sent shivers down Hope's body. She reluctantly turned around to make sure Skullnick wasn't badly hurt...or worse. The troll was moving, but very slowly, and every slight movement was accompanied by a painful groan. She was clearly unfit to fight any longer. The crowd of teenagers rushed in to drag her out of danger and treat her as they could. All but Hope, who was trapped at the opposite side of the gym.
  381.
  382. >"DOES ANYONE ELSE WANT TO INTERRUPT ME AGAIN!?" The monster flew menacingly towards the group, "I WILL KILL YOU THIS TIME! I SWEAR I WILL!" Everyone nodded in terror.
  383. >"Good. So where were we?" She floated towards Oskar, this time a little faster than before. "Now, be good boy, and everything will go smoothly. Try to enjoy yourself a little, would you..."
  384. >The boy was completely unresponsive. The combination of stress and heat coming from the purple caused him to pass out. Star was not happy with this at all.
  385. >"WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR!? A DOLPHIN OR SOMETHING!? I CAN'T DO THIS IF YOURE LIKE THAT! WAKE UP! NOW!" Star shook the boy violently expecting an answer.
  386. >Oskar came back slightly to his senses, but only enough to let out a groan. That, however, seemed enough to satisfy her.
  387. >"See? That's a lot better!" She lifted his head with her hand and kissed him passionately. Her constant with his lips made all the hearts spread around the gym to glow and multiply. This left Oskar completely surrounded by them, only his neck and head showing out.
  388. >"And now...we can play." Star pressed her forehead against his and effortlessly dug a hand through the purple shielding. In her face there was a terrifying smile, the likes nobody had ever seen anything like before, and Oskar looked horribly uncomfortable.
  389. >"How does THIS feel, huh? Do you like it?" After hearing that particular phrase, everybody in the gym turned around in disgust, as it was
  390. NOW VERY clear what was happening in front of them. The only one that didn't turn around was Janna, who was still watching out of morbid curiosity.
  391. >"Now here we go...you'll lovethis, don't be afraid and follow my lead..." Star flapped her wings faster and placed both of her legs on the wall on both sides of Oskar's body and lowered herself closer to him.
  392. >Her mating session couldn't commence, however, as she felt an intense sting on the left side of her body. She turned her head to see the source of the sting, but it turned out to be much worse than just a sting.
  393.
  394. >Hope had ran across the gym, grabbed her fire axe on the way there, and dug her axe three inches deep into her belly. As soon Star realized what happened, she let out a deafening shriek and and flew away uncontrollably. Purple Hearts came flowing from her wound like a garden hose; for about four seconds until the hole completely on its own.
  395. >As soon as the monster was able to regain control of its flight, she launched towards Hope and lifted her by the shirt.
  396. >"YOU TRIED TO KILL ME!? OUT OF ALL THE RECKLESS IDIOTS IN HERE, IT'S THE COWARD WOO COMES AND ME AND TRIES TO KILL ME!? AIN'T THIS GRAND!?"
  397. >Whatever was driving Hope at the moment, that little comment from Star did not do anything to help it.
  398. >"First of all, I am NOT a coward!" She furiously bit into the monster's arm to release it's hold on her, "and I wasn't trying kill you, Star," se said her name with extra emphasis this time, "what I did was out of pure instinct and would have never tried it if there was another option, but now..." She strengthened herb grip on the axe and grinned angrily at her, "now I know it works just fine."
  399. >Star launched again, this time going for the kill. Hope swung her axe at her and narrowly missed. Star tried again a second time...and a third...and a fourth. All attempts returned the same result.
  400. >"Is that the best you can do, bugface!?" Hope taunted at her from the ground.
  401. >Star attacked her again. Same result.
  402. >"You know, for a magical princess from another dimension who ON TOP OF THAT looks like a fucked-up purple fly with six arms, beating a girl with a tiny fire axe shouldn't be that difficult!"
  403. >Hope's plan was working. Star was each time getting more and more frustrated. Her attacks were more direct and anger-fueled each time, and Hope was getting closer to hitting her target.
  404.
  405. >"Damn," Janna commented from the sidelines, "I did not know Hope had that in her. It's incredible."
  406. >"She's kinda hot..." Jackie replied as she watched attentively.
  407. >Janna turned and stared at her for a moment, trying her best not to laugh but failing horribly to do so.
  408. >"You know, she's kinda straight...she's already dating some other band kid."
  409. >"Oh, I know, just a little bit of wishful thinking can't hurt." Jackie turned back at to watch the encounter.
  410. >After debating with herself for a few minutes, Sabrina reluctantly walked back in to see if somehow things got any better. How did she think it could get better, the world may never know.
  411. >"I don't wanna sound like an idiot," Sabrina ran at the two girls, tripping herself on the way, "but why is Hope of all people in battle armor against Star, if anything you guys should have call-oh hi Ms. Skullnick..."
  412. >The only way she had to look is down to see Skullnick trying her best to come back to her senses. She was clearly still in pain, but not nearly as bad a before.
  413. >"The kid...Butterfly...Roberts..my head...D-did you guys beat it? Where's Hope!?" Everyone shook their heads in unison, she turned around to see the unthinkable happening.
  414. >"ROBERTS!," the troll tried to get on its feet but failed to do so, "HOPE! WHAT IN HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING!? COME BACK TO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY, I GOT THIS!" A second attempt to get up failed as Skullnick fell on her back again.
  415. >"Oh, Ms. Skullnick, you'd be surprised how THICK this thing is!" She looked at Star in the eye the entire time," I haven't seen a stupider creature since the day I was born!"
  416. >Fueled by rage, the monster blasted her with purple hearts, sending her flying against the wall behind her. The hearts followed her all the way through and trapped her against the wall.
  417. >"HOPE!" Sabrina recklessly took on the run for her, "HOLD ON I'LL GET YOU OUT OF THERE DON'T WORRY!"
  418. >"Sabrina stop!" Marco ran behind her in an effort to catch her before she puts herself in danger, "Turn back before Star tries to target us-OH CRAP-CRAP-CRAP KEEP RUNNING SABRINA DON'T STOP!" Star noticed two threats coming in from behind her. She turned her attention away from Hope to the running teens.
  419. >The monster shot small bursts of hearts at them in an effort to stop them, but it seemed Sabrina's past experiences had given her cat reflexes, avoiding shot after shot like it's dodgeball. "STOP SHOOTING ME I DON'T LIKE THIS AAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
  420. >"Keep going, Mendes, you're doing great!" Skullnick tried to encourage her, "Run in circles, keep her distracted!"
  421. >"Hey, wake up you lazy fucks!" Janna called to the clones, "Hope needs help and we're not helping by vegetating here, go, now!"
  422. >Janna and the clones ran to try to free Hope/distract the monster, leaving only Skullnick and Jackie behind.
  423. >"Do you not do anything, Ms. Thomas!?" Skullnick complained from the floor.
  424. >"Oh, me? I like skateboarding. I also surf every now and then; It's a really good exercise for your calves!" said Jackie, not taking her eyes off the battle.
  425. >"That's not even what I mean-you know what, nevermind." The troll closed its eyes to get some rest.
  426.
  427. >The multitude of people running around Star was making confusing her to the point of frustration. She couldn't keep on a target before another one stepped in her sights and put her off.
  428. >This gave Marco and Sabrina the chance to dig Hope out of her purple trap and get her battle-ready again.
  429. >"Um, dudes..." Oskar tried to get anyone's attention, "you know I'm still trapped in here...dudes? Anyone?...never mind, I'll just chill here for a little longer."
  430. >"Hope," Sabrina picked up her fire axe, "Are you okay? I think we got this now, it's fine if you want to stop."
  431. >"No, I'm fine." Hope replied, "Now, we've got a monster to take care of, don't we? I've got an idea, Sabrina, you're good cheerleader right?"
  432. >"Aw well, I would call me GOOD...I'm just a cheerleader, thas' all..." Sabrina blushed out of embarrassment.
  433. >"Is there a way you can get me, say, 10 feet in the air?"
  434. >"Damn, that's some air...Um, I guess if you jump off of my feet, while you jump out yourself, you might get some decent height, I've never tried something like that tho..."
  435. >"I trust you, Sabrina. You totally got this." Hope put her hand on Sabrina's shoulder.
  436. >"You really think so!?" Sabrina's eyes lit up like a pair of lightbulbs.
  437. >"I KNOW you got this. Now come on now, we don't have time to waste." Sabrina nodded quickly and ran into position.
  438.
  439. >Hope had to act fast. Star was slowly adapting to the new situation and was gaining serious ground on them. She managed to shoot one of Janna's legs, but it wasn't low enough to stick her to the ground. But it was only a matter of time before her aim got better.
  440. >"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Marco cautioned, "It sounds very dangerous, Hope, even more given that you've never done something like that."
  441. >"And before today I would have never thought that I would be able to be brave enough to even think of doing something like this. There's a first time for everything, and it looks this is going to be another first time for me."
  442. >"Ready Hope!?" Sabrina laid on her back and raised her knees to her chest.
  443. >"Ready!" Hope swung her axe at the air for practice, and prepared herself to make the run.
  444. >"HEY STAR!" The monster stopped its attack on the teens to look at her, "WHERE'S YOUR LOVER-BUY, HUH? IT SEEMS YOU KINDA LOST IT!"
  445. >Panicked, Star turned her body to face Oskar's trap. He was still there, humming a melody he came up with during his time in the trap.
  446. >"What do you mean!? He's still there, do you seriously think you can trick me like tha-" As soon as she turned back, all she saw was the face of Hope Roberts coming at her at high speed, swinging her axe with great technique, and then she saw nothing.
  447. >A fury of hearts came flying out of where her head used to be, the rest of the body flying uncontrollably until it eventually hit the floor. Every single heart spread around the gym flew at Star's body to cover her completely. The purple hearts then glowed intensively to the point they became almost red, and after a few seconds, the hearts darkened and darkened until they became black.
  448. >"Oh god...oh my god...I killed her...OH MY GOD I KILLED HER! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME, HOW DID I THINK THAT WOULD WORK!" Hope fell down to her knees and bawled uncontrollably. No one else was crying, the shock froze them in place and didn't allow them to feel a thing.
  449. >"I'M A FUCKING MURDERER! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!...(I'm sorry...I'm a failure).
  450. >Suddenly, a sound came from the pile of dead hearts. Hope removed her hands from her face to see what was happening. There was a little shake, and the hearts turned into dust. Star Butterfly rose up from the black dust, looking totally confused. It didn't help much the fact that Hope tackled her to the ground.
  451. >"OH MY GOD YOU'RE ALIVE I'M SORRY I TRIED THAT I THOUGHT IT WAS THE ONLY WAY I MEAN IT WORKED SO I SHOULDN'T BE BUT STILL I'M VERY SORRY I TOOK YHE CHANCE I'M SORRY!" Hope almost crushed her in a hug.
  452. >"Uh...I don't understand." Star looked at everyone's shocked faces, "Why are you guys looking at me like that?"
  453. >"Uh..." Marco regained control of himself, "well you sort of...how do I put it..."
  454. >"You turned into a horrible monster like that other time and you tried to rape Oskar and then tried to kill us so Hope chopped your head off." Janna smiled at her innocently.
  455. >"W-what!?"
  456. >"Don't worry about it," Hope lifter her from the ground, "What happened, happened and it's done now, no need to come back to it."
  457. >"Alrighty then, nice armor by the way." Star skipped away to hug the rest of the group.
  458.
  459. >"Hey and would you look at the time," Janna looked at her phone, "looks like detention is done and over with, who wants to bleach their minds with some pancakes?"
  460. >"Sure I'm down," said Sabrina, "the day has been a little too gory for me, wouldn't mind doing something normal for once."
  461. >Everyone else in the group seemed to agree, except for Oskar, who ran away for his life as soon as he got he chance, and Skullnick, who finally managed to get on both of her feet.
  462. >"DO YOU SERIOUSLY THINK THAT, AFTER ALL THE CRAP YOU PUNKS PULLED OFF TODAY I'M JUST GONNA LET YOU WALK OUT OF HERE LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED AT ALL!?"
  463. >Everybody groaned in unison.
  464. >"Sure, why the heck not?" She crossed her arms and smiled smugly.
  465. >"Wait, seriously?" Asked Jackie, "after all that?"
  466. >"Well I don't wanna have to deal with you people after-school ever again, so you better leave now before I decide to actually do my damn job."
  467. >"Well, I guess that's decided, then." Janna pulled out her phone, "Ride is on me, guys. How many are we, 4,5...6. Eh reckon we can fit on a 4 seater. Let's go guys, ride comes in three minutes so we better hurry." Janna opened the door for everyone.
  468. >"Wait, give me a minute, Janna. I need to do something." Hope stopped at the door.
  469. >"You got half of that, go."
  470. >Hope ran towards Skullnick, who was trying to shake off the dust she collected when she was on the ground.
  471. >"Thank you for everything, Ms. Skullnick." Hope hugged her tightly, "Training tomorrow?"
  472. >"Sure, I got time. Also take off that thing, you're gonna look like a fool of you go out in that."
  473. >Only then Hope noticed she was still creating the armor.
  474. >"Oh shoot, I'm sorry." She quickly took off all the pieces of armor she was wearing, "again, thanks Ms. Skullnick."
  475. >"Don't say it, now hurry, you're going to miss your ride."
  476. >"I love you." She hugged her again.
  477. >"Yeah, you too, kid, now get out of here." Hope nodded and ran as fast as she could to catch up to the rest. Hopefully those pancakes make up for all the insanity they went through to get them.
  478.
