  16. That's good news. Who are they, and are they willing to give the audio to Sabat? If so, have them send their audio to Ajay so he can deliver it together.

  27. By the way, Ajay and I know of someone with high quality captures of DBGT. They are in stereo and is supposed to be from the channel with the clearest audio.

  36. Right, Ajay and I are talking about that now. We're going to send Chris the audio that we have now, so that even if Kei never responds or gives us his broadcast audio, FUNimation will still have better sound to work with. Then if Kei does respond, they can replace it with even higher quality content.

  52. Yeah, just before you replied I sent Chris's email address to Kei. Now he can work with him directly.
  53.
  54. But Ajay actually wrote to me just after you did, with a long explanation saying that Marc is not to be trusted, and that he has indeed sold the audio to other people. So I won't be working with him anymore now that I know his true motivation is to get the audio so he can profit from it.
  55.
  56. Thanks for the address. That is the one Marc sent to me as well a long time ago.
  57.
  58. Ajay said that Kei will be unavailable for the next month, but when he gets back he will speak to Kei about the audio.

  76.
  77. Kei's address is, according to Marc:
  78. Kei Yoshikawa, 27-12, Futaba-cho, Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, 370-0843, Japan

  85. Yes, and I'm not sure what to do. I've been told by a reader of mine that Marc sold him the broadcast audio for $120 after asking $5,000 for it. So I don't know what Marc's true intentions are, and that bothers me. I also don't know Kei's address. I think I had it at one point a few years ago, but I'm not sure where I put that note and I'm not sure if he still lives there.

  105. Hey. For starters, didn't Kei try to approach Shueisha and Toei before only to get turned down? Wouldn't it be better to get in touch with FUNimation directly? I guess they will have to go through Toei no matter what to use the audio, though...
  106.
  107. Also, is Kei really that bad of an english speaker? He honestly doesn't seem that way through forum posts and chats I've had with him. Not worse than me anyway!
  108.
  109. If you don't want to raise money... Have you got money yourself for it? I mean, Kei's ignoring any topic that has to do with the broadcast audio. He talks regulary with Ajay and is active on twitter, but at any occasion talks about the audio has come up, he's ignored it completely.
  110.
  111. I honestly think it's better to share the audio with FUNimation without making them guarantee to you that they will release it. That puts unesscary pressure on Sabat and the company. Sabat seems like a nice guy who's genuiely interested in the audio, but it's not all up to him. I think it's enough that he said this to :
  112.
  113. Send the audio and I will:
  114.
  115. 1. Archive it in a safe place.
  116. 2. Do everything in my power to get FUNi to use it.
  117.
  118. I have a secure server that does redundant back-ups so the audio will be safe forever.
  119.
  120. So yeah... Since Kei now seems paranoid and stressed out by the audio situation, it really seems like going to his home is the only choice left. That, or if Ajay can help us to notice him Sabat's passion and put them directly in touch. Because Kei seems completely scared away from trusting people at this point.

  126. I don't like the idea of taking money from strangers, but Marc thinks it's a good idea to ask people in the community to fund a ticket for me to fly to Japan so I can meet Kei in person and get the audio. Who knows what'll happen. I suppose it's up to me, but I'd prefer to not have to do that, even if it would be beneficial to visit Japan and speak with Shueisha and Toei people in person.
  127.
  128. I can't send Sabat Kei's audio because Kei never gave it to me. That's the whole problem. He said he was ready to send it to Sabat, but then said he had some new sources with even better quality that just arrived. He asked if we should wait until he recorded that audio, so I asked how long it would take. He said it would take a week or two, so I told him to do it. I figured why send him two versions when we can wait a week and send him one version. But then Kei vanished from the face of the earth and I haven't heard from him since. This feels like it was at least 6 months ago.
  129.
  130. The reason Kei doesn't communicate with Sabat directly is because Kei is a poor communicator. I didn't want him speaking broken English in short sentences, or not speaking at all for months at a time and then replying with a single sentence. That is unprofessional behavior, and Sabat is a professional, so I wanted to treat him with the respect he deserves. But if that is what's holding Kei back, then at this point I'll gladly give him Sabat's contact info.
  131.
  132. Whatever you want to do, I'm up for it.

  148. Yes, he has, actually. He said you guys were considering raising money to make you go to Kei directly. I've also been in touch with Ajay on the forums about the same matter (he's got a friend who's texting Sabat regulary), who happens to be in touch regulary with kei working on other projects... But the problem is that as soon as Ajay mentions anything about audio, Kei ignores him...
  149.
  150. We should all sit together and make this happen.
  151.
  152. BTW; I think it'd be good to provide funimation kei's most recent audio regardless of them promessing to use it or not...
