Aeurdella (or mostly just Della. Which is really the only name that gets used) was born in the city of Kasai, the capital of Minkai to kitsune mother and human father. Her oddity was that she was born with naturally blue hair. Her family status was solidly in the middle class. She never really questioned what her father did for ‘work’ and he frequently returned late into night. Her family was a nice one but her grandfather Matek was her favourite of the bunch. He frequently told her the stories of his travels from Qadira all the way to here and brought many painting supplies to encourage her to paint and draw. He was even responsible for her name, he talked Della's mother (Triva) after into naming her after his another daughter, Aeurella which he left behind in Avistan.

Sadly, the happy fun times didn’t last. In the same year, both her grandfather and father (Teslem) passed away. The grandfather past away from old age and her father was ‘mistakenly’ targeted by the town guard with extreme violence. Triva and Della quickly dropped into the ‘poor as heck’ status. Triva remarried soon afterwards to a complete manipulative, physically abusive but wealthy asshole(Durtegh)... Though most of those traits were only apparent to Della. It’s not really all that surprising that from all that sorrow, anger and grief lead to Della soon manifesting her sorcerer powers and fox shape shifting. Durtegh wasn’t keen on raising his hands when she could raise a shocking grasp.

With a boost of confidence, ability and hatred for any authority figure, Della started avoiding home and school whenever she could and spent her time painting graffiti on the street and hanging out with the less lawful members of town as it were. It really didn't take long for her to get into petty crime in the poorer districts of Kasai with the help of a nice old friend by the name of Yoshie. She helped Della out while she was trying to avoid home almost entirely. While Della did spend time with other members of the Yakuza (It's a thing on the wiki, I swear.), it took until the start of her late teens before she 'properly' spent time with the Yakuza crew with Yoshie’s guiding hand.

She spent a few months with them doing more organised crime... until a group break and enter burglary went real south due to a the fact she hit a vase with her tail while she was in her kitsune form and that woke up everyone inside. Being able to turn into a fox is very helpful at hiding during the night so escaped, same couldn't be said for her accomplices.

Deciding that having the hecking Yakuza after you is not a good idea and literally not having any reason to stay in Kasai or even Minkai, she decided to leave and head towards Sandpoint via ship. Afterall, her grandpa described as a nice place, maybe she could become an adventurer!

She acquired free passage by hiding on the ship as a tiny fox... with her diet being less than pleasant for the journey. Soon after she arrived in Sandpoint, she met an interesting figure while she busy painting up an alleyway for fun. A certain blue woman with white hair. Her sylph half-aunt, Aeurella. It didn’t take long for them to piece things together. After all, a mere exchange of names was enough to make the connection.

Aeurella was rejoiced at the prospect of having family again, Della less so. However Aeurella could provide a roof over her head for free in the form of shared living  space at the Great Tree, a massive 300ft tall tree with houses built into it. Della being the aggressive, swearing brat she was didn’t make it easy on Aeurella but they both had a connection in the form of good memories of Matek.

Della still maintained her habit of just doing graffiti on walls of alleyways and she was interrupted by another figure while she doing the classic routine of drink and paint. A literally Nameless gnoll
