» personality::
  - an utter goofball, mei-xiao is always laughing and smiling. she's loud, which can sometimes be annoying, but can be serious when need be. she is always looking out for her fellow members, and is closest with water. reason being, is that they knew each other well during their trainee days. she gets along with most people in bighit due to her easygoing and friendly nature. she is hyperactive, almost always screaming, usually for no rational reason. despite this, mei is quiet when concentrated. this is when she is either composing, reading (something rare), eating or (not so commonly) dancing. she detests awkward silences with a burning passion, and is usually one to stop said silence with a scream or strange laugh. for this, the others like to believe she possesses something they decided to name the 'mei effect'. it is to do with her ability to brighten the mood of a room upon simply walking in. she, however, claims it's only to do with her cheerful nature. along with being the definite happy virus, mei is also like the prankster of the bunch. she's always playing pranks on them, and others around bighit ent., sometimes getting to a point where it irritates some! but everyone adores her, nonetheless, because who could dislike happy-go-lucky mei?

» background::
  - mei-xiao comes from an averagely wealthy family of her brother and her parents. she was born in edinburgh to chunhua and changming zhang, an unhappily married couple who were only together for the beautiful set of twins they produced, which they didn't exactly know then. her father worked in an engineering company and her mother was a businesswoman. both had highly demanding jobs, which meant that they rarely saw the twins, let alone each other! long story short, when jin and mei were only seven years of age, it was revealed that changming had been having a heated affair with another woman, who only wanted him for his wealth. he was obviously kicked out, and their mother was furious. their mother also, however, decided to spend time with her children. she started doing that more and more, and was eventually fired from her job. they moved china, where she was hired by a small market, and made an average amount each month. as time progressed, mei and jin were facing a new school, at aged 12. it was there that she was introduced to k-pop by a korean friend, who was just as new to the genre as she, despite being born in korea herself. this nds thing sparked mei's newfound passion for music, and she eventually went on to travel to korea with jin in order to become a trainee at a company. it simply went on from there.

  - yoongi is a typical introverted person. he doesn't enjoy going out and quite frankly dreads meeting people, and he isn't good at the whole social thing, either. he can sometimes come across as cold or cruel, but that's simply because he has a little trouble in expressing his emotions. he isn't the type for pda and all of that rubbish, and is quite reserved. however, once you get to know him, you'll see that he's really a softie who only comes across as mean, when in fact he isn't at all.

  - mark is a genuinely quiet and reserved person. some call him boring, but he simply just isn't one for goofing about, though he does do it often! he is a funny person and has a nice personality, and he is also quite silly sometimes. however, his shyness can definitely rub people the wrong way. once you become close to him, you'll realize that he's not at all boring, or uninteresting, or dull. you'll realize that he's just not as outgoing as others. and you'll realize he's a wonderful person.
