Even if he was trying to calm the people (which I'm sure will be the excuse) he should be preaching they be "Alert, but not anxious" and to stress the importance of good hygiene to help stop the spread of not just this virus but even influenza.

The moment there is a vaccination for it he should be recommending, despite him being an anti-vax tard, that people get the vaccination and make sure they're up to date with their regular flu shots too.

But no, Trump did none of that, he's a moron who thinks the weather has something to do with the flu and therefor must be the same for the novel coronavirus originating in Wuhan, China, which it sounds like he thinks is a cold, and therefore you can't get it when it's warm and not, well, "cold".
