History

Long ago, there was space and time,
Galaxies slowly unfolded.
Beneath the light of our star the earth
thrived,
And life flourished soon after.
Majestic beasts roamed the land,
But disaster struck, now they are nothing but ashy bones buried beneath the surface.
The age of humans began quite soon.
New lands were discovered and claimed.
Wars were fought, both lost and won.
Inventions of the clever were soon to come.
Now in the present the world has changed.
And many things will await us soon.
What will it be? I don’t know.
But the present will always be the history of the future.
