RR pools -> double elim top 4 make it out, bottom 2 go to am bracket
AM bracket for bottoms
top 6-8 payout depending on attendance
NWOH PR made beforehand
add $2 to pot bonus for every NWOH PR'd player that enters
add $5 to pot bonus for every MI PR'd player that enters
add $20 to pot bonus for every 20 entrants signed up
NWOH circuit installed
minor payout attempt for someone cool to come out like KJH or Ginger
scheduled on a saturday
timely schedule, dont start too early, dont finish too late
spacious venue with easy parking

expanding subjects:

pot bonuses - requires sinking in a lot of money for no return, but pot bonus would be a huge incentive to a lot of good players far from us esp if payout went to top 8

team of TO's - if toledo TO's put their resources together to divide work with running brackets, stream setup, bringing recording setups and combining them for tons of youtube videos, splitting costs, running a circuit, we'd see a power never before seen in NWOH

RR pools - guarantee people will be coming out for PLENTY of melee worth the value if big house 4 could do it, a toledo event can too

top 6-8 payout - big events need payouts more than top 3's esp if we're putting a lot into pot bonuses

NWOH circuit - get a string of weeklies together to be added to the circuit, that lead up to this event. i think taking 10% from the pot of each of these tournaments + major event one and putting into a circuit pot and giving it to circuit winner would incite a lot more tournament attendance and growth. circuit winner would be determined by who places best/wins the most circuit events, and could even try to coordinate with MI TO's for having a MI tourney be a part of the NWOH circuit. it gets more complicated than this and ill explain more if we ever go into detail about this


potential problems:

first off i need the money to do this, it could be crowdfunded, it could be split amongst people who want to be a part of the TO team, i could save money slowly over time and pay for the whole thing myself (most likely). money makes all these cool pot bonuses possible

team of TO's could never happen and just be one or two ppl fronting way too much work

people could not be interested (very likely) and make this worthless effort

running RR pools, pro bracket and AM bracket, stream setup means we absolutely NEED setups

ppl could complain about getting 10% cut out of pots for circuit pot and not like the idea of a circuit event (not really a problem but would make things less cool i guess)

no interest from MI because they have their own shit and we suck

this is the kain way, if i had to run a major event for toledo in 4-6 months from now this is how i would do it, barring some missed details i didnt write down bc i wrote this in 15 min nin a notepad file
