  4. Speaker 1:
  5. Things being banned national parks come be a blast.
  6. Speaker 1:
  7. So it is not the first time I've done a road trip so at the time about it just in like a Justin you swing by the house will carpool or will will convoy over to.

  10. Speaker 1:
  11. We start driving to San Antonio and while we're driving there I'm like.
  12. Speaker 1:
  13. Boy my tire sucks.
  14. Speaker 1:
  15. I should probably go get them balanced because it's kind of a rocky ride.
  16. Speaker 1:
  17. So we're planning on going to Six Flags and when we get to San Antonio and I drop my car off at the dealer and the.
  18. Speaker 1:
  19. The the fine individual unsere Chrysler Dodge as names Tucker he he he took my car.
  20. Speaker 1:
  21. And the I asked him to do a tire balance and he was like okay.
  22. Speaker 1:
  23. That's like sixty dollars and I'm like great I want to actually do it so you can have money for this thing this is how services work I'm aware of this.
  24. Speaker 1:
  25. And he's like okay there anything else you want done like yeah go ahead and change the oil to.
  26. Speaker 1:
  27. Great dear dear here hi I'm off.
  28. Speaker 1:
  29. Roller coaster ring so you you have fun with that.
  30. Speaker 1:
  31. And the you know go go about your business so I'll give you money just to leave the truck parked outside the gate because we're gonna be busy roller coaster ring.
  32. Speaker 1:
  33. Long after you close so.
  34. Speaker 1:
  35. I got a call from from Tucker Wallem roller coaster in that says okay yeah so we're we're done and it was like sixty dollars smart but I asked you do two things.
  36. Speaker 1:
  37. Yeah it was like sixty dollars we we rotated those tires.
  38. Speaker 1:
  39. I'm like.
  40. Speaker 1:
  41. I don't care if you rotate the tires any tires balanced.
  42. Speaker 1:
  43. What's gonna be like sixty more dollars my I..
  44. Speaker 1:
  45. That's the only thing I wanted done today with the.
  46. Speaker 1:
  47. You did an oil change and a tire rotation that's.
  48. Speaker 1:
  49. Not what I need the the the **** tires balanced okay.
  50. Speaker 1:
  51. And I need it parked outside the gate so that I can drive it off well yeah sure that's no problem.
  52. Speaker 1:
  53. **** hope it's no problem okay.
  54. Speaker 1:
  55. Can we go about our days roller coaster ring and Tucker.
  56. Speaker 1:
  57. Calls back and says okay we we balance the tires and I left the the truck outside the gate.
  58. Speaker 1:
  59. Yeah we're we're all good to go I'm gonna go home a B. Tucker at home now.
  60. Speaker 1:
  61. How might go okay well.
  62. Speaker 1:
  63. We may have to break a truck out later but sure thing in and we continue roller coaster hang on let me.
  64. Speaker 1:
  65. Hop in one of them ride Cher cars back to the dealership in.
  66. Speaker 1:
  67. Sure enough trucks right there false **** great okay and get on the road like Kay I think you actually bounces tires side but I spent money and they did things this is such a wonderful trip.
  68. Speaker 1:
  69. So the the next day we we drive on off to the big Benton.
  70. Speaker 1:
  71. Tweet we set up camp the first day in.
  72. Speaker 1:
  73. You know on.
  74. Speaker 1:
  75. Don't really do too much that day.
  76. Speaker 1:
  77. We would drive around a Justin truck just instructors definitely.
  78. Speaker 1:
  79. **** truck so like we just leave by around them the the first Monday there we go about our business and.
  80. Speaker 1:
  81. Yeah we're we're staying there Monday through Friday and sensually driving back Saturday morning so.
  82. Speaker 1:
  83. Drive around have a blast in his Dodge of compensation wagon.
  84. Speaker 1:
  85. And the we go about our business it's it's a wonderful time for everyone you know we went up a gravel road and then we came back the the gravel road and everyone just had a wonderful time looking at gravel.
  86. Speaker 1:
  87. Come back and have some dinner.
  88. Speaker 1:
  89. Next day we wake up and eat some breakfast and we're like okay that's good do that thing where we go drive up the gravel road and we're like gas everyone in this good idea and I'm like you know to make this a better idea his if I brought my truck along and we did dump truck **** together and everyone's like food gad teddy what a good idea you have and I'm like **** you guys were all going to have a good dump truck **** time so I it forces someone into the the cab of my truck can we drive along and we have a great time going up gravel roads were staring gravel.
  90. Speaker 1:
  91. We get to this place called black gap it sounds scary who called black gap.
  92. Speaker 1:
  93. But it was daylight out so it didn't seem too dark and we just decided to go for it.
  94. Speaker 1:
  95. I watch just to go down this hill and it's a.
  96. Speaker 1:
  97. Moderately steep hill.
  98. Speaker 1:
  99. And it's.
  100. Speaker 1:
  101. To his suspension is doing some traveling with the compensation wagon is definitely.
  102. Speaker 0:
  103. Keep it up.
  104. Speaker 1:
  105. It does not have issues.
  106. Speaker 1:
  107. So I'm like back at the ship.
  108. Speaker 1:
  109. So I wait for him to clear the area just in case I don't have that **** I take the truck down and it's like but but but but but but but but but but.
  110. Speaker 0:
  111. And we're we're.
  112. Speaker 1:
  113. We get to the bottom number good so.
  114. Speaker 1:
  115. Justin's up the up the road a piece and he's like so there's like some water.
  116. Speaker 1:
  117. Michael watery say yeah we should we should go like check that **** out server hop out of the truck put some boots on and Justin and I walk up the trail.
  118. Speaker 1:
  119. We both can make the assessment why again we think we can make this and.
  120. Speaker 1:
  121. And the the ram twenty five hundred compensation wag has a winch on it so if he needs to compensate for my lack of truck then we're good to go so.
  122. Speaker 1:
  123. Justin goes first to were remember.
  124. Speaker 1:
  125. No **** problem you sister four wheel drive big knobby tires.
  126. Speaker 1:
  127. I've got two wheel drive street tires so.
  128. Speaker 1:
  129. I go through this and blah blah blah blah blah blah.
  130. Speaker 1:
  131. And I get to the other side and I kind of have to to like speed up and speeds are a bit and dad get through the water and not get stuck in a.
  132. Speaker 1:
  133. And then just to marks up to my truck and he's like a teddy what's that noise coming from your tire the kind of sounds like it's leaking air.
  134. Speaker 1:
  135. The so how about the truck in.
  136. Speaker 1:
  137. I go toward the tire and make about sound like it's leaking there.
  138. Speaker 1:
  139. It's not a good sound when you're.
  140. Speaker 1:
  141. Like not near an asphalt road at all.
  142. Speaker 1:
  143. So I feel around a bit and then like I think a six this is coming from the beat so.
  144. Speaker 1:
  145. But I'm like yeah maybe the tire just got slightly unseeded or something all I'll drive around a little bit and see if I can get seated back in and so I drive around in Justin's like yeah it kind of sounded like it was going in and out is is really hard to tell.
  146. Speaker 1:
  147. Lightning yeah it's it's still there I don't know.
  148. Speaker 1:
  149. So of got my big fancy boots on and I get the tire couple kicks in yes.
  150. Speaker 1:
  151. It turns out that the air was not coming from the bead it was coming from the side wall and now bore of it was coming from the side wall so that goes flat top pretty quick.
  152. Speaker 1:
  153. Kind of assess the the next thing in a motion here which is well I guess we'll we'll stop the truck and.
  154. Speaker 1:
  155. We'll put the spare tire on and I made sure I had a spare tire moral rolled smart there so we get the Jack out and get the the lug wrench and.
  156. Speaker 1:
  157. EJB breaks all the the lugs free that it can I go to get the the Lugnut key.
  158. Speaker 1:
  159. It's not the glove box it's not in the glove box but the glove box it's not the center console and it's not the center console above the center console it's not in the backseat is not my Cup holder that's not many of the other couple things it's not the sunglass holder it's not anywhere in the **** truck.
  160. Speaker 1:
  161. Tucker stole my Lugnut key.
  162. Speaker 1:
  163. ****.
  164. Speaker 1:
  165. Talk in Tucker.
  166. Speaker 1:
  167. So.
  168. Speaker 1:
  169. Just for my own sanity I just sit and breathe heavy for about five minutes while everyone else is working on my truck.
  170. Speaker 1:
  171. Eventually someone comes on like Hey you lazy **** you want to do anything about it.
  172. Speaker 1:
  173. Tucker still collect that key now look what you mean Tucker soul Lugnut key.
  174. Speaker 1:
  175. There's no Lugnut key in this truck like what you mean there's no look that key in this truck.
  176. Speaker 1:
  177. Please look for yourself.
  178. Speaker 1:
  179. I wish I was insane.
  180. Speaker 1:
  181. Server went there's parts truck they're looking for this Lugnut key.
  182. Speaker 1:
  183. Or tools to.
  184. Speaker 1:
  185. Murder and bury Tucker.
  186. Speaker 1:
  187. We found more tools than than keys so obviously our our time was set I pulled the truck off into this abandoned campsite and we happen Justin struck which is actually good at driving to things.
  188. Speaker 1:
  189. When we drive back to the only area we know of with cell phone reception.
  190. Speaker 1:
  191. Which was no where near where the tire went flat as far as convenience batters go.
  192. Speaker 1:
  193. But we we head back towards the headquarters where the cellphone service tonight.
  194. Speaker 1:
  195. Soon as we park I leap out of Justin's truck because I know we're just burning daylight it's it's Tuesday afternoon.
  196. Speaker 1:
  197. We leave Saturday.
  198. Speaker 1:
  199. And I don't have a Lugnut key to remove my bust **** tire.
  200. Speaker 1:
  201. So I call Tucker I'm like.
  202. Speaker 1:
  203. Hey a talker.
  204. Speaker 1:
  205. I'm teddy my guy who had his tires balanced on Sunday.
  206. Speaker 1:
  207. Hi Terry are can I help.
  208. Speaker 1:
  209. C. Tucker how I can see yeah it's a great talker what I meant to say was.
  210. Speaker 1:
  211. You see Tucker all right don't have my Lugnut key is are all or only look around yeah yeah yeah we got it right here.
  212. Speaker 1:
  213. Literally will ship had it within arm's reach to be able to give me that answer seconds after I mentioned I'm missing a leg McKee.
  214. Speaker 1:
  215. The next words out of his mouth are.
  216. Speaker 1:
  217. So you can just pick it back up on your way back to San Antonio when your head back to Houston.
  218. Speaker 1:
  219. Tucker.
  220. Speaker 1:
  221. Do you think I found out I'll have my Lugnut key.
  222. Speaker 1:
  223. Do you have a flat tire yes Tucker.
  224. Speaker 1:
  225. I have a flat tire.
  226. Speaker 1:
  227. Speaker 1:
  228. Well have you called road set no Tucker I have not called roadside assistance because I'm in Big Bend **** national park.
  229. Speaker 1:
  230. And I'm very far from the road side so we're gonna do is get that Lugnut key to me by eight AM tomorrow.
  231. Speaker 1:
  232. And the and Tucker.
  233. Speaker 1:
  234. In non stereotypical Tucker fashion is like whole yeah I guess this is a problem I'm gonna go get my manager so that we could solve it.
  235. Speaker 1:
  236. Great that that's fantastic Tucker.
  237. Speaker 1:
  238. So I let him go and I'm just kind of sitting outside this this park headquarters thing.
  239. Speaker 1:
  240. Justin and I are just Chattan and saying boy isn't this shitty Ono's pretty shitty I wish this didn't happen this guy comes up in the parking lot it's like Hey are you teddy.
  241. Speaker 1:
  242. A yes.
  243. Speaker 1:
  244. All is this your first and he hands me my mother **** wallet.
  245. Speaker 1:
  246. What I have left out of Justin's truck in order to make this phone call my wallet flew out of my shorts.
  247. Speaker 1:
  248. Scott picked it up just said about those guys in here so he came over and said Hey you look like this guy in the the **** drivers license picture about you'd like this back.
  249. Speaker 1:
  250. So the only good news about the day is that.
  251. Speaker 1:
  252. I didn't know I lost my wallet but found out from having my wallet returns that I no longer had a lost wallet.
  253. Speaker 1:
  254. J..
  255. Speaker 1:
  256. Eventually Tucker gets back with me and he sent me this text message to say Hey here's the shipping label for your luck that key it's going to Big Bend national park general delivery everything's good.
  257. Speaker 1:
  258. And it's being overnighted backstage air as fast as possible Mike okay that's that's all I can ask for.
  259. Speaker 1:
  260. Soon we go about our business we go and get some we actually go to a restaurant that night because we were all very tired from having to deal with Tucker and his mishaps.
  261. Speaker 1:
  262. So we get some dinner.
  263. Speaker 1:
  264. Go back to the tent.
  265. Speaker 1:
  266. Get some whiskey N. S..
  267. Speaker 1:
  268. Go to sleep.
  269. Speaker 1:
  270. Very normal normal circumstances.
  271. Speaker 1:
  272. We wake up the next morning more like okay we're down to one truck but no big deal we got one truck it's the good truck.
  273. Speaker 1:
  274. So we hop in it we go around big band and look at stuff from boy S. bunch of **** to look AT serves pretty good idea that we did that thing.
  275. Speaker 1:
  276. All throughout the day when we passed through cellphone signal on checking on the the the package and it's it's gone to this part of Texas and no longer in this part of Texas and so it's over here and it's over here.
  277. Speaker 1:
  278. Tougher delivery now is great okay.
  279. Speaker 1:
  280. So we know that the post office closes at three PM I'm like okay well worst cases we go by the post office at three PM and it hasn't been delivered and so we have to go pick it up the next day.
  281. Speaker 1:
  282. Around two thirty rolls around we just say **** it let's go to the post office anyway.
  283. Speaker 1:
  284. Just in case it got delivered and did get updated because I didn't have signal or something.
  285. Speaker 1:
  286. I go speak with the the post office person.
  287. Speaker 1:
  288. And she informs me that.
  289. Speaker 1:
  290. A U. P. S. does not deliver to the post office.
  291. Speaker 1:
  292. They only receive U. S. P. S. packages.
  293. Speaker 1:
  294. That.
  295. Speaker 1:
  296. Complicates things.
  297. Speaker 1:
  298. All right.
  299. Speaker 1:
  300. But UPS does deliver next door at the the ranger headquarters place but I don't think they just take any UPS package so joy.
  301. Speaker 1:
  302. Right.
  303. Speaker 1:
  304. So I go next door to the the ranger headquarters place and I I speak with the lady at the counter and she's like oh yeah little project those packages.
  305. Speaker 1:
  306. The park staff only UPS that's a.
  307. Speaker 1:
  308. So I ask her windows you PS normally come through.
  309. Speaker 1:
  310. Anywhere from two PM to five PM.
  311. Speaker 1:
  312. Correct.
  313. Speaker 1:
  314. So I head back to the to the truck tell them.
  315. Speaker 1:
  316. So that's not gonna happen.
  317. Speaker 1:
  318. We go about our business I get an update and it says package has been delivered Mike.
  319. Speaker 1:
  320. Maybe.
  321. Speaker 1:
  322. Maybe she felt bad for me in just accepted the package anyway this is great.
  323. Speaker 1:
  324. The next update says package has been rejected.
  325. Speaker 1:
  326. Well she just did what she was going to do all right well they weren't being.
  327. Speaker 1:
  328. So since I had cell signal a called you PS and I'm like Hey hold this package up in alpine Texas.
  329. Speaker 1:
  330. Alpine Texas is about a hundred miles from the park headquarters so that's a.
  331. Speaker 1:
  332. That spit out of the way but it significantly closer in San Antonio so I'm willing to take that as a win.
  333. Speaker 1:
  334. UPS thing updates with yep.
  335. Speaker 1:
  336. Customer requested hold that to you PS facility alpine Texas and I say well **** but at least an hour to us so.
  337. Speaker 1:
  338. We make plans for the following day.
  339. Speaker 1:
  340. We're gonna go up to to alpine but.
  341. Speaker 1:
  342. Amazingly enough the UPS location on alpine is only open from.
  343. Speaker 1:
  344. Four PM to six PM Monday through Friday.
  345. Speaker 1:
  346. So we now have very distinct amounts of time left.
  347. Speaker 1:
  348. Tuesday the truck went down.
  349. Speaker 1:
  350. Wednesday we found out we couldn't receive the package at the park.
  351. Speaker 1:
  352. It's now Thursday we have two hours on Thursday in two hours on Friday were we can pick up this package.
  353. Speaker 1:
  354. Because we're out Saturday.
  355. Speaker 1:
  356. With all that mind we we run up towards presidio through the Big Bend ranch state park which is still pretty damn gorgeous follows the Rio Grande that's got some old forts and access the canyons and all sorts of cool ships week we have a good day take pictures and point at things and ghetto staring at Mexico across the river all sorts of.
  357. Speaker 1:
  358. Real fun things to do.
  359. Speaker 1:
  360. When we get to presidio when we find a little tech specs place for lunch from like can't really get more text backs up I think we threw a rock at Mexico earlier so serving that war doesn't start will be able to get our refried beans.
  361. Speaker 1:
  362. Amber city you happen to have cell phone reception which is wonderful so I check in on my package and it says package returned to sender.
  363. Speaker 1:
  364. I have the most heavy of mild heart attacks.
  365. Speaker 1:
  366. And I make a phone call to the U. P. S. and let them know.
  367. Speaker 1:
  368. That I hate them.
  369. Speaker 1:
  370. And I don't want the package to go back to San Antonio.
  371. Speaker 1:
  372. They've got nothing for me they said pulled the note said hold but now it says returned to sender.
  373. Speaker 1:
  374. Didn't they call you yesterday.
  375. Speaker 1:
  376. Nope no one from UPS called me.
  377. Speaker 1:
  378. Speaker 1:
  379. Well.
  380. Speaker 1:
  381. Who will ask them to call you today.
  382. Speaker 1:
  383. And since they just sounded so confident.
  384. Speaker 1:
  385. I decided that.
  386. Speaker 1:
  387. We're just gonna go have to go to alpine Texas anyway so it we finished lunch.
  388. Speaker 1:
  389. My hot back in the truck.
  390. Speaker 1:
  391. We now sadly drive towards alpine Texas.
  392. Speaker 1:
  393. We get there.
  394. Speaker 1:
  395. I see that there is a.
  396. Speaker 1:
  397. There's an O. Riley's there.
  398. Speaker 1:
  399. On the way from presidio to.
  400. Speaker 1:
  401. Alpine I'd looked up YouTube videos on how to defeat blood that keys.
  402. Speaker 1:
  403. Couple methods and one of them is you get a socket it's just a little too small for the actual lug and hit it with a hammer so it gets kind of stuck on you can torque at off a bit and then get the the **** off so I got on the island I find this set of sockets I don't know exactly how big this key to lug not is so has picked up a set with small to big.
  404. Speaker 1:
  405. And then the then we pick up this Wiz hammer and pick up of a breaker bar kids I've decided I'm not asking anymore.
  406. Speaker 1:
  407. And and then we see this kit that says Hey use this kit if you need to remove stripped blood months wink wink this is what you use to steel wheels.
  408. Speaker 1:
  409. And so I'm like oh I do need to steal my own we'll all just by this as well.
  410. Speaker 1:
  411. So we had a a fruitful trip to Riley we've got a little shot in the arm everything's starting to look up we're pretty sure we're gonna be able to get that tire off that means the the next problem we have to solve is how to get a tire back on there's a there's a tire shop and alpine oasis tire right we wander in there I'm like Hey I need to buy a two seventy five sixty R. twenty tires.
  412. Speaker 1:
  413. And the lady behind the counter is like great so here's the list of two seventy five sixty R. twenty tires that we have on the top and bottom ones are light truck tires we don't want those were out of this tire now we're out of this tire so we have this tire would you like that tire.
  414. Speaker 1:
  415. Yes ma'am I think I would.
  416. Speaker 1:
  417. And she says great it'll be some amount of dollars he just swipe your card here what vehicles going on well the the vehicles not here okay.
  418. Speaker 1:
  419. So you got the wheel.
  420. Speaker 1:
  421. I do not have the wheel.
  422. Speaker 1:
  423. Tom.
  424. Speaker 1:
  425. Do you know where you're gonna get the tire mounted.
  426. Speaker 1:
  427. Ma'am I am aware of the problems of just buying a tire.
  428. Speaker 1:
  429. All righty.
  430. Speaker 1:
  431. So through the tire in the back of Justin's truck can.
  432. Speaker 1:
  433. We we head over to UPS it's three PM.
  434. Speaker 1:
  435. So it's an hour before they open.
  436. Speaker 1:
  437. I'm like well I'm not gonna let a little bit time stop me.
  438. Speaker 1:
  439. So I go up the ramp when I just bang on the door.
  440. Speaker 1:
  441. And no one answers as expected.
  442. Speaker 1:
  443. So I bang on the door again.
  444. Speaker 1:
  445. No one answers.
  446. Speaker 1:
  447. So how back in the truck and that everyone else is like.
  448. Speaker 1:
  449. I would like alcohol.
  450. Speaker 1:
  451. Luckily across the street there was a cocktail bar thing so we go get cocktail bar things conveniently this cocktail bar was also within cell phone reception so we all got our little fancy drinks and we sat around and some comfy chairs and we all looked at the internet for like the next hour because we were really tired of talking to each other about things we haven't read on the internet.
  452. Speaker 1:
  453. All of us were very pleased to not talk to each other for an hour it was fantastic.
  454. Speaker 1:
  455. I get a call about three forty five PM.
  456. Speaker 1:
  457. This is C. P. O. for it you PS we're not allowed to have names only initials.
  458. Speaker 1:
  459. And the I'm showing on my system here that your package was delivered to the third junction.
  460. Speaker 1:
  461. And I am perplexed because one I ask for the package to be held to the facility I don't know why it went out for delivery again today to.
  462. Speaker 1:
  463. The folks the fine folks over at panther junction reject packages that don't belong to them and three.
  464. Speaker 1:
  465. Last I checked it said return to sender.
  466. Speaker 1:
  467. C. P. assures me that right here and it totally says that it's been delivered to panther junction.
  468. Speaker 1:
  469. I tell him I am literally across the street we are hopping in a vehicle now we are driving to the UPS facility.
  470. Speaker 1:
  471. Can I come in and and talk.
  472. Speaker 1:
  473. Well you sure can great I'll be the guy in the safari hat.
  474. Speaker 1:
  475. I guess I should've mentioned earlier that before the trip I had purchased a safari hat and was wearing it liberally because I thought it was hilarious.
  476. Speaker 1:
  477. It was higher yes.
  478. Speaker 1:
  479. I wonder in there there's a couple people in front of me it's U. P. S. so and they're only open from four to six so and it's terrible so I'm not really surprised that other people are having problems.
  480. Speaker 1:
  481. C. P. U. P. S. helps out these other people he finally gets to me and he just kind of looks at me and just points in like.
  482. Speaker 1:
  483. That I speak with you on the phone because somewhere in a safari hat he's like all yeah soon ministered to any harm.
  484. Speaker 1:
  485. Right here on my system it shows the head spend a lever.
  486. Speaker 1:
  487. And so I.
  488. Speaker 1:
  489. Here over at his computer monitor and I noticed that the first entry.
  490. Speaker 1:
  491. Shows that it's been delivered to panther junction.
  492. Speaker 1:
  493. On October ninth twenty nineteen.
  494. Speaker 1:
  495. The current date.
  496. Speaker 1:
  497. The story is concerned September tenth.
  498. Speaker 1:
  499. The entry right below that says package rejected October ninth twenty nineteen.
  500. Speaker 1:
  501. The entry below that says customer requested hold.
  502. Speaker 1:
  503. October ninth twenty nineteen.
  504. Speaker 1:
  505. The entry below that.
  506. Speaker 1:
  507. Says return to sender October ninth twenty nineteen these are all in chronological order.
  508. Speaker 1:
  509. C. P. stopped reading after the first **** entry.
  510. Speaker 1:
  511. I had to show him that today was October tenth and that all of this happened in the past.
  512. Speaker 1:
  513. I had to then ask.
  514. Speaker 1:
  515. Already knowing the answer.
  516. Speaker 1:
  517. Can you tell me if this package is still in the building.
  518. Speaker 1:
  519. Speaker 1:
  520. Well the computer says it's returned to sender.
  521. Speaker 1:
  522. Has it left for San Antonio.
  523. Speaker 1:
  524. Let me look.
  525. Speaker 1:
  526. Until he starts fiddling around with some packages on a rack behind them and then another rack behind them and then he just kind of looks at me and goes.
  527. Speaker 1:
  528. Don't have.
  529. Speaker 1:
  530. I ask him again.
  531. Speaker 1:
  532. Could this still be at this facility or is it back on its way to San Antonio.
  533. Speaker 1:
  534. He caves and says well it's like a second call the driver.
  535. Speaker 1:
  536. So he calls the driver who is luckily within cell phone range.
  537. Speaker 1:
  538. Driver picks up and remembers the package says yeah hi folks down a panther junction they they rejected this next day air package.
  539. Speaker 1:
  540. And and C. P. just lights up like a **** dim Christmas tree.
  541. Speaker 1:
  542. Next day.
  543. Speaker 1:
  544. And then he just like wanders right over to where I'm standing and there's this.
  545. Speaker 1:
  546. Been of packages at my feet and he just flips through one two.
  547. Speaker 1:
  548. Mister Terry is is yours.
  549. Speaker 1:
  550. It was mine.
  551. Speaker 1:
  552. Had been by my feet for like twenty minutes now.
  553. Speaker 1:
  554. So I say yes this is mine you can't have it he's like okay let me just scandal he scans it out and I walk outside and I show everyone in the truck the spoils of our journey.
  555. Speaker 1:
  556. And they say tell me that's a box show me what's in the **** box and so I say right correct that **** open and I show them the blood Mackey that's in this box.
  557. Speaker 1:
  558. And we all celebrate by going **** and we've got change a **** tired.
  559. Speaker 1:
  560. The main problem with all of this is that it's now four thirty PM sunset is at seven thirty PM.
  561. Speaker 1:
  562. We are a hundred twenty miles away from where my truck is the last fifteen of those miles or.
  563. Speaker 1:
  564. Down a on serviced dirt and gravel road.
  565. Speaker 1:
  566. We have a long journey ahead of us and not much light to do it.
  567. Speaker 1:
  568. So we hop in the truck and we head down towards the the motel that we had been staying out because we figured that would be easier than camping with only one truck that was correct.
  569. Speaker 1:
  570. Drop PJ off of the hotel because he wasn't feeling that great.
  571. Speaker 1:
  572. Brian Justin and I take the truck in the big band.
  573. Speaker 1:
  574. Justin hands on the keys and says I'm worn out from driving today I think you can handle it just get me to that dirt road and I'll take it from there.
  575. Speaker 1:
  576. So I hall last through the park.
  577. Speaker 1:
  578. And we get to that dirt road and it's about six o'clock dead on.
  579. Speaker 1:
  580. We have an hour and a half of light left and we have to go fifteen miles down a dirt road.
  581. Speaker 1:
  582. Change a tire and then drag the truck out of a hole so just to get to it starts driving down this road we've been down it once before well twice before actually so this is our third time on this path we're starting a familiar with it I'm like okay with thirty minutes until we get to this black to happen and then we'll be able to run down and and take care of everything it's about thirty minutes rolls by and we are not near black cap and that's where I start to get nervous Mike well this is further out than I remember I thought it was closer crap crap crap I don't I don't know if we're gonna make it.
  583. Speaker 1:
  584. Six fifty rolls around and the sun is starting to get close to setting dusk is certainly approaching just has the idea the good idea of wheels park my truck up here Amil hike down the hill to your truck and I say great good idea that way we're not stuck with like dragging two trucks out of a hole.
  585. Speaker 1:
  586. We pack up all the tools everything get some water in us and we start walking towards the the hill.
  587. Speaker 1:
  588. By forgotten the Lugnut key in the truck.
  589. Speaker 1:
  590. I admit.
  591. Speaker 1:
  592. This would have been sad and hilarious if I had to hike the **** back up the hill in order to get the lug that key.
  593. Speaker 1:
  594. But I was willing to take the embarrassment of just for getting up in the first place I go grab the key.
  595. Speaker 1:
  596. And we had down to the truck.
  597. Speaker 1:
  598. It takes us Max ten minutes to get this new tyramine already broken all those other blogs this was the actual Lugnut key for my truck which was very very handy get that tire off put the new tire on throw the the spare through the.
  599. Speaker 1:
  600. Throw the flat tire in the bed of the truck hop in turn it over.
  601. Speaker 1:
  602. And now it's time to get out of the hole so.
  603. Speaker 1:
  604. I wasn't sure we were going to get out of the hole the spare tire went on the driver's front of the truck so it was just steering but the spare wasn't really meant for.
  605. Speaker 1:
  606. Any sort of decent driving it basically just looks bald so I don't know how that's gonna work now I'm worried about all my side walls because already busted one so.
  607. Speaker 1:
  608. We drive through the water from which I was concerned about my first time which is probably why a pop the side wall because I was driving too fast but it gets stuck in the water.
  609. Speaker 1:
  610. Drive through there no problem turn up this hill which.
  611. Speaker 1:
  612. Definitely could have provided clearance issues for my truck and I don't have the V. eight that Justin has all I have is the the V. six and so I just say **** it of throat in first gear at takeoff traction control and I just go up the hill and you know what the truck has no issues at all we get up to the top of the hill we all celebrate we do a pass around the truck to make sure all the tires are intact.
  613. Speaker 1:
  614. We are told we have finally had some good **** news.
  615. Speaker 1:
  616. It's about seven.
  617. Speaker 1:
  618. Seven oh five something by this point.
  619. Speaker 1:
  620. The sun is starting to dip behind the mountains in the background
