  1. “Shadows of the Academae”
  2. Students of the Academae, Varisia’s premiere arcane college, are well versed in both the boons and dangers of magical research. One of the Academae’s most respected faculty has assembled a number of students – aka the party – to serve as researchers in the enigmatic “Arcane Research Society.” However, on the day of the society’s first meeting, the professor mysteriously disappears. The Academae’s headmaster allocates the party a research budget, with the end goal of “furthering the field of magical research” and, with luck, discerning the missing teacher’s location and bringing them back.
  3. “The Endless Road”
  4. The desert town of […] lies on the edge of the Endless Sands, a massive desert that appeared in the center of the continent of […] after a massive disaster. Transporting goods from […] to […] requires month long journeys across wide swaths of ocean and through perilous, pirate-infested waters. One enterprising wizard and her crew of engineers think they’ve found a solution: a magical device that can transport people and goods through the harsh desert. The party has been hired to guard their first voyage against incursions from bandits, giant wurms, and whatever else they might encounter during their voyage through the Endless Sands.
  5. “The Wardome”
  6. People flock to the massive Wardome from great distances, seeking to watch its gladiators fight in wild, no-holds-barred combat. Owned and operated by a bored lich and his staff, the Wardome is famous for housing some of the world’s most vicious fighters, as well as its incredible, magically-powered battleground which shifts in shape and properties during the fights. The members of the party enlist in the Wardome’s team-based combat trials, but before they can begin they are approached by a strange woman with a damning secret and a desperate request.
  7. “Your friendly neighborhood duke of hell”
  8. Powerful Duke of Hell Lorthact has grown bored and desperate in his long exile from Hell, and has sought the assistance of the kingdom of Korvosa. The king, knowing how dukes can be, has declared Lorthact a Giant Asshole and has tasked a party of purported Big Damn Heroes with dealing with the devil problem. Lorthact has made a rather attractive offer: undermine his opponents’ influence in the mortal plane and help him gain enough leverage to return to his rightful throne in Hell, and he’ll leave Korvosa be. But can one of Hell’s most powerful attendants be trusted? And what of the whispers that members of Korvosa’s monarchy may be consorting with some of Hell’s other powerful denizens?
