DiscordNews - "Discoin" NovaBot

The Discord community is a prominent community, full of many astonishing users that spend their days creating bots and servers for our desire. One of these marvellous users are austinhuang. austinhuang, among the other main devs such as Cyberium, MacDue, Fires and Smartbunny009 have recently used their JavaScript geniuses to create yet another wonderful service that allows the community to come together once more. This service is called Discoin. Discoin is a currency for Discord bots alike which allows users to exchange currency from one bot to another.

You are probably wondering if your bot can get Discoin for its currency. The answer for that is: you can! If your bot has a global currency (Not guild-specific currency, as they are hard to control) and is in at least 50 servers, you can apply, according to the Discoin wiki page. This will be great for many bot creators, as they now have a method for their coins from their small features be used elsewhere.

There are already users of this currency, starting with the obvious DiscordTel server, including bots such as Sandwich Delivery, Discord Pizza (Experimental), DueUtil and Cyclone, which shows how fast the currency is already rolling out in its' early days. Could Discoin become the global choice for all bot creators on Discord?

Keanu73: What made you decide to start Discoin?
austinhuang: I started DiscordTel, and I was lazy to create several ways to let my users earn credits, so I thought, "Why can't I just let them use other bots' currency?" and I started integration with Tatsumaki, then Mantaro and Hifumi. Since it is proven successful, I decide to make these integrations more popular, so I made a central hub to replace these integrations, which is Discoin.

Keanu73: What other things do you do around Discord?
austinhuang: I've done quite a lot - I had a global ban list, once developed an utility bot (although it failed laughs) and now I do DiscordTel.

Keanu73: How has discoin been a success, and what are some ways you think it could improve?
austinhuang: I wouldn't say it's a success now - We are still in the development stage and we do get participants. I guess we'll integrate bots not only from Discord but also from other platforms, or maybe have a real bank or something (Which another team called "Coincord" is currently doing - See we didn't even start and there's already competition), but yeah, I guess let's just see how it goes.
