- > Axel
- This isn't just an Axel thing but I wanna say that I really enjoyed the different approaches to the "Full name" question. I also loved the bit with his mom. My precious boy TT. I'm a sucker for good familial relationships like this. Also I hope he catches that Zapdos!! After this and the birdwatching pic I think I might just make Vega get into birdwatching as a hobby. Makes sense, living in a massive forest and all.
- > Emily
- Vega absolutely got a kick out of the motto answer. I know I did! I think I got a pretty good idea of miss Tiel in my head, so a lot of these answers I kinda saw coming. I did like the bit with Mawlie and Red though, there a lot of appreciation under there for the former and a surprising amount of respect for the latter that you don't normally see with her.
- > Alex
- Although it was a rather short session, it did technically feel in line with his character so far. Would have been nice if he played along a little more though. It's a good chance to add more depth to the character imo
- > Bibi
- I already knew I was gonna love this one but you really knocked it out of the park TT. I'll try to get Vega's story of what the "old days" were like at some point as a little continuation! I'm also very pleased with B's reflection on strength. Vega got a little worked up for a bit there since she, Anka and Lan have all had their struggles with strength and what it means to them. She's seen Lan lose himself chasing it in a way not unlike Kieran while Bibi on the whole reminds her of Anka. B feels like desoite her skill as a trainer, she's unconsciously chasing a different kind of strength too. Between her working out and desire to be a pillar for others, it also feels like she's chasing a strong heart. Good stuff overall! Also the last name drop lesgooooo
- > Alto
- I remember during B's bio there was a section where Alto said something to the effect of "so you're a person that gives up on their dreams too" and the too really stuck with me. I wondered if he's seen people give up on their dreams before and I wondered how it affected the way he saw things. Also I think it's interesting how someone with so little talent for the thing he's trying to do can still hold his head up high and keep trudging on. Seems like there's a lot of nice stuff there. I also loved seeing him break character, it was a lot of fun to read and just very endearing. I feel like Vega was initially just buttering him up a bit but then gained a genuine level of respect and affection for the boy after. I'd also be super interested in seeing him interact with the next clan head, who's a songstress that's been having... let's call it a severe case of writer's block.
- > Koa
- In my personal cuteness ranking, Koa has gone up like at least to A tier. Seeing him talk about his experiences and defrost as he does was really nice. Because of him being more a reactionary character it's clear that he does spend a lot of reflecting on things and it really shows in his speech. I like it! I'd like to see him visit Sinnoh or Paldea personally! Very good boy/10.
- > Hasumi
- Really hitting me in the softspot with her feelings about her Mama TT. I hope everything goes well with your exams! I'd love to see more Hasumi in the future! Honestly if I could see her interact with my other OCs I'd like to explore her similarities with Lan (over their moms) or Teach (the mom in question). Also it fits surprisingly well since they're both Ghost-type trainers. If I ever do some interview/scenario type thing with either of them I'll include something for Hasumi for sure.
- > Tweny
- Aaa I was actually pretty excited for this one. Tweny is a much more eccentric character than most, so I was looking forward to seeing that conveyed through dialouge. And boy did it deliver. It actually helped me enjoy the moments where he pauses candidly even more. Ofc he doesn't seem the type to take anything super seriously, but I liked the tiny moments of hesitation. Also don't let this distract you fron the fact that he went to grab the tea first, which if you read Oriko's dialouge
is poisoned.
Vega did let him do it though, since from her notes he'll probably live.
- > Rouka
- Bless this child. Reading this one really did feel like I was listening to this old friend I had. Also "taking a bit of that town with you" is honestly a lovely way of viewing it. It's... conscientious? Adds a nice bit of depth to her. Vega's in a time from before all the stuff about seals and different pokeballs were even a thing, but I think she'd enjoy just listening to the gyaru talk her head off about the stuff she likes. If she were to pick a ball from the modern era, it'd probably be the Friend ball for the color and effect. But after meeting Rouka I think she'd also grow an affection for Premier Balls since it's the first one she mentioned.
- > Franco
- This one was honestly an immensely pleasant suprise. You really understood the assignment with this one, and it was nice seeing the normally unflappable get sentimental. It's nice to see that he actually had a nice childhood, the fadinf of his small town aside. I hope his Pawmot and Flamigo are okay. He really does feel like a man in two worlds, one stuck looking intently at the past due to his experiences but also with his heart looking towards the future. It's super interesting! If we're looking at Vega the person I think she aligns more with Phos, but as Vega the sovereign I think she's a lot closer in style to Franco. Gave me some really good food for thought. Also they actually do share a background with a more pastoral way of life.
- "If you ever decide you want to return to that simple way of life, Franco, the villages around Falce have a place for you."
- It's not a promise that Vega can actually keep, nor do I think it's one Franco would accept. Still though, I hope he appreciates the sentiment in his own way.
