  1. As a standard action that provokes an attack of opportunity, you may imbue a single 5ft-square within close range (25+5ft per initiator level) with a martial icon. This square cannot be occupied by a creature when you choose to imbue it. Imbuement lasts for a number of rounds equal to your initiation modifier.
  2.
  3. When a creature steps onto a square you have imbued, you may choose to trigger the martial icon. If you do so, roll to attack as if making an attack against the creature that stepped on the square. If the attack you make is successful, roll damage as normal. You may choose to use your Intelligence modifier rather than your Strength or Dexterity modifier to determine your bonus to attack and damage when making the attack from your Imbuement. After the martial icon is triggered, it is removed from that square.
  4.
  5. When imbuing a square, you may choose to expend a single strike you have readied from your Mnemonist levels. If you do so, an enemy that steps on that square is instead affected as if you had initiated that strike on them on a successful attack. Instead of taking a standard action to imbue a square, the action taken to imbue that square is equal to the initiation action of that strike. If the strike you imbue allows you to take movement, you do not take that movement, but are still treated as if you had taken that movement instead.
  6.
  7. At 4th level, and at every 3 levels thereafter, you may imbue one additional 5ft square with a martial icon each time you use your imbuement class feature, up to a maximum of seven 5ft squares at level 19. If you choose to expend a single strike you have readied as part of imbuing a square with your martial icon, all squares are imbued with that martial strike, and the action required to imbue all squares is identical to the initiation action required of that maneuver. Each imbued square can be triggered independently. However, if your martial icon is triggered and the strike imbued within that icon is successfully used, you must expend another readied maneuver in order to imbue your martial icons with that maneuver. A strike that is imbued in this manner cannot be recovered until the martial icon it is imbued in is triggered or you intentionally choose to remove the martial icon as a free action.
  8.
  9. At 4th level, you gain a +1 on attack rolls when you make an attack or initiate a strike with your imbuement class feature. This bonus increases by +1 every 4 levels thereafter, to a maximum of +5 at level 20. In addition, your attacks made through the Imbuement class feature deal additional damage. This bonus damage is equal to 1d6 at 1st level, and increases by 1d6 at level 4 and every 4 levels thereafter, to a maximum of 6d6 at level 20. This bonus damage is only applied once per attack and is not multiplied on critical hits.
  10.
  11. At 5th level, you gain the ability to imbue your martial icons with a boost as a swift action. An ally that steps on any square you have designated with your martial icon can choose to gain that boost. If they do so, the boost is added to their readied maneuvers until the end of their next turn, whereupon it is automatically expended with no effect if it has not been used. This is considered a "trigger" of that martial icon.
  12.
  13. At 9th level, you gain the ability to imbue your martial icons with a counter as a swift action. An ally that steps on any square you have designated with your martial icon can choose to gain that boost. If they do so, the boost is added to their readied maneuvers until the end of their next turn, whereupon it is automatically expended with no effect if it has not been used. This is considered a "trigger" of that martial icon.
  14.
  15. At 13th level, you gain the ability to imbue your martial icons with a stance that you are currently in as a swift action. An ally that steps on any square you have designated with your martial icon can choose to gain the benefits of that stance for as long as they stand in that square. If they step off of that square, the effects of the stance linger until the end of their next turn before disappearing. Unlike imbuing a square with a strike, counter, or boost, stances are not expended.
  16.
  17. At 17th level, your Martial Icons grow in size. Increase the area of your martial icon from a 5-ft square into a square that is 15ft on each side.
