  1. Hi Julian,
  2.
  3. As you are probably aware my contract comes to an end on May 31st. I’d just like to be up front and let you know that I have been considering a few options on what I would like to do beyond that date. I’m not making any assumptions as to whether or not you and Martin were planning to keep me on further either but hopefully If I do decide to move on this will give you enough time to plan for that.

  5. My dilemma is that Napier have offered me a choice of either finishing my original dissertation and building on my current degree or starting a part-time postgraduate course on a different subject (Data Science) to go for a masters. The pre-requisite for the masters is a full-time online learning based course that I can do at my own pace but I would be hoping to fast track that and get started ASAP so I can enter the “with attendance” course in Jan 2020. I’m leaning towards option 2 but either way if I decide on one of those I can’t see myself managing juggling that while working at Ethical Futures full-time.

  7. I am happy to offer my services on a part-time or reduced basis from May onwards if that was workable. It might not be the most convenient thing for you but I thought I would put the option out there anyway as it would work fine for me and I’m sure I would be flexible. I also think a large amount of what I do except for physically scanning and printing could be done remotely. There are also definitely a few ad hoc/projecty type things that I didn’t manage to get round to that I think would be worthwhile (getting letter of engagement on document designer – re-vamping admin manual & processes, to name a few.)

  9. As another alternative to that I would also be happy to do some social media management and marketing stuff similar to how I did that last time but perhaps more structured. Off the top of my head, maybe it would be worthwhile agreeing to a schedule of activity such as a twitter & Facebook post Mon, Wed & Fri every week and one more fleshed out personal blog/article piece per month. I think as things have stepped up for me recently being more involved in the new business cycle and submissions process that the social media activities have had to take a backseat. I do have a couple of ideas related to this area that I didn’t get the chance to explore.
  10.
  11. Hopefully I could be of use to you in some way in the time following the end of my contract but if not, that’s not a problem at all. If you decide to go another way I totally understand and I’m not expecting you to do me a favour if you don’t believe there’s any value in this or have other concerns or plans.
  12.
  13. Happy to discuss any of this with you further once you’ve had some time to think about it.
  14.
  15. Lewis.
