  89. **Plot 1: Securing the Realm**
  90.
  91. RP: Odvar wiped his brow of sweat, heaving over a pile of refuse. Despite being a strong military man, and doing what he must for his family, he found it vile what he was doing. Men, brought in from a rebellion, were dropped in front of him. He was told, specifically to deal with them and break them for the benefit of the empire and from what he could see, he broke them completely and got no answers. What inspired the men who killed the King? What made their minds tick? He didn’t know, so he was at wits end. He couldn’t be the stick to break the rebels. He didn’t raise his children like that. No, he had to be greater than the beast he was made to be.
  92.
  93. Washing his hands, he prepared to wash his palette. He lived his entire life living at the blade, from the heavy axe in the time when Øslø walked the mortal plane, but as he adopted a more traditional appearance, he often carried a bow at his side alongside a sheated shortsword. He called it Cecillia after his most recent offspring, coming after his innocent son Kætill and his eldest Rikard; whom is currently in the fledgling naval command in Øslø proper. He named it after his future. He remembered cleaning his blade of blood. He took someone’s life who wouldn’t resist. He took their future. That was not a position he should make.
  94. Cleaning his conscious came after his hands, as he moved into the dungeon proper, he moved and pointed at his men. “At ease! We’re changing out plan forward. Liquify the gold we need for the project!” he ordered, sending his men scurrying as they acquired and amassed the gold that would be required. Within weeks, he retrofitted the dungeon to be a willing containment facility, equipped with the amenities any common citizen would require. He would come in to act as a chancellor to ask of their reason. Originally skeptical of such change, it took almost a straight year, from winter to fall of the next year to get the data he needed. He learned that the front finally moved from Tjust to the east coast and in his hands he held a shopping list of concerns. He got what he needed. The root of the problem.
  95.
  96. Of course, such plans were unknown to the higher ups, but when he came with a list of reasons they killed the king, he handed them off. They served his purpose and the route he sent them would potentially be allowed to live a normal life after hard labour in the eastward mountains. It was the best he could do for them.
  97.
  98. He went quick to work, using his men’s unused salary portion to create a diplomatic two-person taskforce. Addressing the issues in every city he visited was too much for him, so his son clung to his side. He once helped sell maure in the Geats core, so this wasn’t anything new to him. They helped dispose of the corrupt clergy in Anders, created a union of workers to help aid the newly constructed frontline city of Tonsberg and through the usage of Cecillia’s Blade, helped clean the corrupt elites from the royal coastal city.
  99.
  100. The people thanked him, and helped fund further endeavors, especially in Anders, who helped provide food and logistical support for the empire. He was becoming more well known and reknown than Sophie in these parts, a fact that slightly disturbed the once architect. Royalty would not entirely agree with his methods, but they would agree with the results. He knew for sure these cities would use their full might to fight the Geats. Through conquest shall be the Geats only way forward.
  101.
  102. Assisting him in the great task of securing the kingdom would of course be the royal family.

  110. **Plot 2: [REDACT ALL] Forest Watchers**
  111.
  112. RP: Silently, Peer Gynt slipped through the eastern forests. Growing up on the frontier of Norwegian settlement, Peer always had a special connection with nature. It was said that no one knew the wilderness as well as he did, that no one knew the rugged frontier with its dark forests, craggy fjords, deep blue lakes, soaring peaks, and soggy marshes like the sprightly son of Gynt. Peer had already demonstrated this to the Queen, astounding her with his knowledge and succeeding the past mission she gave him. Now she gave him a new one, more difficult, and even more important - securing the safety of Her Majesty’s Royal Army.
  113.
  114. Engaged in a brutal war along the unknown frontier, the army had many difficulties that only a man with such a specialized knowledge of the terrain could tackle. The front was sizeable, and contained many forests, marshes, lakes, and rivers on which an enemy could attempt to infiltrate the ranks of the army. The rough terrain the army was stationed in was definitely a curse, but Peer saw no reason it couldn’t be a blessing too. It was his task to transform it into one.
  115.
  116. Peer’s first order of business was to contact two of Norway’s top agents. These two men had worked both in front and behind the lines of the Royal Army to safeguard it and defeat the enemy. Their expertise in these matters and in tasks of secrecy would prove quite useful for this new plan. Then with his two deputies in line, Peer would begin building a network of watchers hidden within the natural cover that his beloved forests and marshes provided. Using the detailed knowledge of the area the three men had gathered, they would map out crucial choke points, hiding spots, and paths which they would then monitor with their agents. Hiring the best of the kingdom and personally training them, they would ensure that each watcher was both loyal to the crown and crafty enough to find out any enemy attempts to infiltrate the position of the army. Peer and his colleagues will then watch over their agents, aggregating the intelligence reports they provide to build a detailed map of all enemy movements, both of large military movements, and of small covert movements. With the enemy tracked so precisely through the forests, Peer would be able to redirect forces through secret pathways to neutralize any threats before they can strike. And if for some unfathomable reason men are convinced to desert the Royal Army without even having contact with the enemy… well they too shall be tracked and neutralized.

  125. **Plot 3: **
  126.
  127. RP: The war has raged for too long. We have the upper hand in production, resources, and gold but our front line has yet to advance. Nearly every city assault has failed, maybe the time has come for a non-violent approach. General Magdalene sent a call through her ranks for potential strategies, seeking fresh ideas from outside her usual advisors. Her old comrade Anders walked in with a young man.
  128.
  129. Sophie stood from her desk to address them. “Ah, Corporal Dodgins and Sergeant Bergland, good to see you. Are you here about the incentives program?”
  130.
  131. “Yes General.” Boyle started. “The corporal and I have been discussing the situation and we think we know what you need to do.”
  132.
  133. “A whisper campaign.” Corporal Dodgins impatiently continued “It’s the perfect way to bring down an enemy without getting your hands dirty.”
  134.
  135. “But how would we even do this? I mean we do have some undercover recon units we could use, but what would they say? What would be the purpose?” Sophie asked suspiciously.
  136.
  137. “Well if it goes according to plan, we can spread dissent through the Geat ranks and convince their troops to refuse to fight. We’ve taken the liberty to prepare a list of rumors we could spread. ” Boyle replied, and they both unfurled some small scrolls.
  138.
  139. “I heard that the dragon is just a horse with wooden wings strapped on”
  140.
  141. “I heard that the treasury is nearly empty. The current numbers are falsified”
  142.
  143. “I hear that some of the soldiers shake down travelers”
  144.
  145. “My friend told me that the Norwegians are only days away from surrounding us”
  146.
  147. “I overheard one of the lieutenants say that they may not be able to pay us after the war”
  148.
  149. “I hear that with our weather, farmers are making more money than even the generals”
  150.
  151. “Apparently the average Norwegian eats better than the King”
  152.
  153. “I saw the General sneaking some harlots into his tent last night. He’s married!”
  154.
  155. “And we’ve got about 20 others written down but you get the gist. We figured that with our undercover agents and some well placed bribes to some sympathetic soldiers, the rumors would spread like a wildfire through the Geat army.” Dodgins finished.
  156.
  157. “You know what, fuck it. Nothing else has worked and this is the best idea anyone has brought me. I’ll tell the spymaster to get in contact with the undercovers and I’ll commission the gold from the treasury. Good work soldiers, if this succeeds there are promotions waiting for you at the end of this.”
