  2. Chapter 1: The Beginning
  3. *Shawn*
  4.
  5.
  6. There comes a time in everyone’s life when they have to choose; stand and fight, or retreat. This could mean physically in battle, or mentally with forsaken memories. As in retreating, or giving in to a depressing life of re-living the memory, or taking a stand and moving on. Well, I’m both. Your looking at a fourteen-year-old who just saw one of the keyblade masters struck down by another. The one struck down is named Ventus, the child of my father’s best friend.
  7. Technically, Ventus isn’t the real son of Eraqus, but was taken in as he had no place to go as kid. Now, the man who overwhelmed Ventus is a man by the name Xehanort. I used to be his apprentice, but I left in search of a master not excessively using the darkness, and trying to turn me into a dark creature. Now, with it being me looking on towards my old master, I realize I have to face him, though I have no weapon.
  8. I look around, though all I see is Ventus’ keyblade, still clutched in his hand. All of a sudden I close my eyes, and I see Ventus, though he is translucent, he holds out the keyblade. In my “dream” I reach out a take the keyblade. When my eyes open, I see two things. One is the keyblade in my hand, and the other is Xehanort with him about to strike, but has an astonished look on his face. I realize what this means. I am a keyblade wielder, and the fate of the world is in my hand, uh oh.
  9. Now, I want to tell you I whipped on the cool keychain, transformed this keyblade, and just like owned Xehanort. That’s not exactly what happened though. I had never used a key, blade, or even a combination of the two. What does that tell you? It says, “Hey, look at me! A slow target easily overwhelmed!” That’s not very good for me.
  10. You look at Xehanort, and you see a psychotic old man, in some awkward clothing at first glance. He’s something much worse though. He’s all that rolled up in a blanket of evil. I mean, he wants to live past the keyblade wars to open Kingdom Hearts for keyblade’s sake! Oh, and did I mention he has a creature of evil, derived from Ventus, on his side as well? Then again, I do have Terra and Aqua on my side if they believe I didn’t attack Ventus.
  11. I’m standing here, holding this key, that I probably could never use anyway, and staring down Xehanort when he chuckles evilly and disappears in a portal of darkness. “Ven!” screamed Aqua, as she lunged at me, keyblade at the ready. Now, I’d like to say Aqua figured I didn’t attack Ventus on her own, but Ventus’ lingering spirit was the one who made here realize her mistake. I came out of that with only one broken bone this time! Not only that, but Aqua recognized me? How is that possible, I don’t know her?
  12. “Sh-shawn!” Aqua shouted as she hugged me, keyblade armor almost piercing my abdomen. I’m totally lost now. This isn’t unusual though.
  13. “You……know me?” I managed. I hope she can shed some light on the situation.
  14. “Of course I know you! You’re my only brother!” she shouted. My mind was racing; my heart was beating faster every second that went by staring at my….sister. Finally, my knees collapsed and I passed out.
  15. I awaken to the sound of CHINK, CHINK, CHINK. Both Terra and Aqua are attempting to hold off Xehanort. I watch in horror as Terra flies across the rugged terrain! One wrong move out here and your life is over. Terra has had years of training, where does that leave me? I am one hundred percent defenseless out here!
  16. Next thing I know, Aqua is in a water bubble, and Vanitas is running towards me at full speed. The keyblade is one foot away from connecting to my chest when the spirit of Ventus appears and either disappears, or has been defeated. I believed that Ventus was no more. I swore to myself I would avenge him. Ventus would not die in vain! All of a sudden, some newfound strength reinforces itself in my spine. I am now the equal of Ventus, which is the equal of Vanitas. So I can hold him off until Xehanort is weakened enough to finish the job myself. I find my limbs moving in ways not thought possible less than a minute ago. I know what to do, because for some odd reason, I am accustomed to his moves. I can see his patience slipping after every missed strike. It also seems that my pain tolerance has considerably skyrocketed! Good for me!
  17. I am starting to become amused by the fact that Vanitas is trying out some new attacks. Some of these are his translucent energy volley, and his disappearing trick of using an uppercut behind me being repetitive. What’s more amusing is the fact that I can still swiftly dodge the assault of both aerial and ground combos. I find it wise that my senses jolted with the urge to go on the offensive, especially if I wanted to save Aqua before Xehanort finished her. What I do next is miraculous, I jump about 15 feet in the air, use my light energy volley on Xehanort, and fling my keyblade at Vanitas. Both hit their desired targets with little strain.
  18. Aqua is finally free of the cursed bubble, but now I’m in deeper trouble. Xehanort had raised the ground into a rocky platform that Aqua couldn’t reach. What a shame for me. I never stood a chance alone against both Vanitas and Xehanort. I was easily overwhelmed by the duo. The last thing I recall is repetitive of what happened to Ventus. My darkness locked away was stolen as well. He resembled a boy by the name of Riku, but how did I know that? “Dark being derived from Shawn, I give to you the name……”
  19. “Shawn!!!!” screamed Terra.
  20. “Ah, ‘master’ Terra. I’d like you to meet my new, and second, apprentice, Sh….” Said Xehanort.
  21. “Now’s not a time for introductions, Xehanort!” I said. Although fear was raging all through me, I was able to stifle my feelings for now. Xehanort showed his cocky smile, which always irritated me. One day, I thought, I’ll show him!
  22. “Oh, Shawn. You’re just jealous of me, that’s all. Now leave us 3 and Terra to get on with business!” The new boy shouted and stuck out his hand. All of a sudden a wind like bomb exploded on my chest, hindering me of my precious air. I was flung into a dark portal like a rag doll. If he alone is going to be that strong, then there is no way I can beat the trio.
  23. Right before I passed into the portal, I must have gone unconscious because past that is a blur. I had awakened in the one place I had only heard of, The Land of Departure. I wish I could have been here earlier, for Master Eraqus was stuck down. If I were to train and save my friends, why couldn’t I end up in a place with a master to train with?
  24. “Hello, Shawn. I’ve been expecting you.” A voice echoed. This was the voice of Master Eraqus. I need some help, and fast.
  25. “Pl-please help me! I need help Master Eraqus! Terra and Aqua are in danger! I mean, today I found out that I have a sister. That sister is Aqua though!” I screamed with noticeable terror in my trembling voice.
  26. “Please, calm yourself, Shawn. Terra and Aqua are safe for the time being. Xehanort, Vanitas, and Shane would not touch the two until you come again at the Keyblade Graveyard. You will train here for the time being. All is fine for now.” He said. I could not believe him. His own pupils are in grave danger. One of them has been struck down for keyblade’s sake! My fury had reached its limit. Eraqus was about to understand how much trouble we were in.
  27. “All is fine? All is fine?! No, everything is NOT fine! One of your pupils has been struck down, as well as you, and Aqua and Terra are in grave danger! The fate of the world is on my shoulders, and if it weren’t for Ventus, this would already be over with my weak, not-so-little body! Can’t you see? Its over, you’ll never have me ready in time! So yeah, everything clearly is not fine!” I let out. I just fell to my knees and sobbed. I was this useless little boy in denial. What would Aqua think of me? Yelling at her master while she was in danger isn’t a useful technique of rescue. I wiped the tears away, stood up and got my spine back.
  28. “Look, Master Eraqus……I’m sorry I yelled. My emotions were stuck inside, but yelling at you won’t get us anywhere. Now I’m asking you as a pupil, a friend, and a poor soul. What can I do to save Aqua and Terra? I need to know. Right now, they’re the two closest things to family I have…..” I said with both sincerity and regret in my voice. That is, for yelling at Eraqus.
  29. “Very good, Shawn. You have shown remarkable work in your maturity and your kindness to those who don’t deserve it. Avenging someone to the greatest fighting to the last breath is not the way to leave. Leaving with honor and pride in your heart is the only way to sufficiently pass on. I’m not saying that you are going to die but you very well as well have the way you took on Vanitas and Xehanort. My spirit lingers here, but fighting in my keyblade armor is available. I can train you. That is, if you will accept me as your master. He said. Eraqus had always inspired me. Though I’m not certain how he knows me.
  30. “Era….Master, I need to tell you something. Deriving yourself of every bit of darkness is wrong. Without darkness, there is no light. No, I’m not saying embrace the darkness, but let it flow in harmony with your light. This is the true path to defeating an overwhelmed enemy. With all due respect, sir, you are overwhelmed with the light. It defines you and limits you. Sure, you’re a keyblade master, but your full potential is not showing to me.”
  31. I said. I could not believe it. Eraqus looked at me with hatred. This was not the side of him I expected. What was happening?
  32. “Very well then, you don’t see my potential? How about I show you what the light can do against darkness”? He said. All of a sudden, I had the same clothes are Ventus but oddly colored, and a heart with an X in the middle. I also was missing the armor of his. Eraqus had shown me his armor. Maybe now he was about to show me his impatience of criticism.
  33.
  34. Chapter 2: At the Badlands
  35. *Xehanort*
  36.
  37. “Let us go Xehanort!” Terra screamed. He was becoming very irritable. Though I know injuring could only increase the fury flame burning in Shawn’s heart, what could shutting him up do? Oh well, all will be mine soon. Who could believe it that I, Xehanort, a keyblade master live to see what’s beyond the Keyblade War?! What has happened to Vanitas and Shane? Most likely sparring with each other near Tornado Valley. Those two are not becoming stronger. They are both equal thanks to that useless neophyte, Ventus.
  38. “Terra, be quiet. You’re giving ME a headache.” The girl, Aqua said. She has been mostly silent, studying the surrounding area for a safe spot if she is to be free. Good tactic, too bad she would die soon. She was a very good field operative. The outraged Terra had tried to burst through the bubble they were incased in. A failure, obviously.
  39. “Someone else is coming, but its not Vanitas or Shane. It’s not Shawn either. Who is it?” Aqua had said, moments after Terra’s escape attempt.
  40. “Let ‘em go you big bully!” That ignorant mouse, Mickey said. He ran towards me, jumped, and prepared for an aerial assault more that likely. His only other attack was a frontal assault. Neither attack was avoidable, but easily finished quickly with only minor damage to me. Though major to the mouse.
  41. “Heh, heh, heh. Don’t you know when to give up, mouse? You’re obviously going to fail in your attempt to overthrow me! You may as well have just come here to give me something to do when I get tired of waiting for Shawn to become strong enough for both Vanitas and Shane!” I said. He looked at me in great disbelief. He absorbed this well. Just long enough for me to make a decoy and strike from behind.
  42. As he contemplated as if what I said was true or not, I contemplated where to strike. An aerial lift starting at the back should suffice for a lower cut to the stomach. My mark hit the target perfectly, but he acted as if he had just stumbled. There was no pain in his face or injury on him. This is when I realized that this “Mickey” itself was a decoy! The real mouse had planned this all along!
  43. The mouse I had seen was a being created by the master magician, Aqua. She thinks she can outsmart me? I’ll show her what the true meaning of surprise was! I snapped and both Shane and Vanitas were here immediately, their keyblade’s at the ready! Aren’t I simply amazing? Or had that stupid mouse already infer that? Either way, this nuisance of a mouse would be ended quickly.
  44. “Finish the mouse, quickly. I don’t need him running around, trying to stop my glorious play.” I said with ease. All I said was true anyways. So you try to live a much extended life, who says you can’t have pleasures of destroying little nuisances like this?
  45. Looks like being evil has its many advantages! To my amusement, but also frustration, the mouse is covered in a blue light, and is shot off into the distance before the two even attack him.
  46.
  47. Chapter 3: Training? Or impatient impulses?
  48. *Shawn*
  49.
  50. What is wrong with my master? What has made him so furious to try to attack me? Could it have been my words? This could also be training. If so, the master is a very good actor! I think Ventus is not at my aid anymore. He might have fled so I can do this on my own. This means I don’t stand a chance against Master Eraqus. I can see his various body movements shifting into place for the correct attack. This meant trouble; because I have full conformation Ventus is not helping me this time.
  51. “Master! What’s wrong with you, why are you doing this?” I screamed. Ugh, there was no time for this nonsense! Eraqus shot some light bomb straight at me, but I ran away just in time to avoid it. There was only one thing to do. Let him win.
  52. If I were to stay still for a second or longer, I was toast. So I just stood there. Was I afraid? You can count on it. Was I going to back down? Never in a lifetime would I back down. So, he spins and hits me in the chest, four inches below my heart. That could have been a fatal blow, luckily it wasn’t. It may have not been fatal to someone like Aqua, but to me, it was pretty much a heart stopper, or close to it.
  53. I fell to the ground very limp. I was not out for the count, but I was rounding closer. I would not close my eyes for anything. I had to hear what Eraqus had to say. I could tell he was by the way his translucent face had looked, horrified. It hurt to move even to this point. I put my hand across the mark. It felt different. I then realized it was an open would, gushing out blood. Not enough to kill me soon, but enough to make me freak out.
  54. “Sh-Shawn…….I have failed you. I let the light somehow fuel my anger. I just did the opposite of what I warned you about. I’m……..I’m sorry.” He said. He was sincere, I could tell. He raised his keyblade for a second time against a pupil, and he regretted it.
  55. I put pressure on my wound. It hurt to the high kingdoms, but the bleeding eventually stopped as the scab had developed a pre-cover. What had just happened? It’s…….it’s all a blur now. It happened so fast. I slowly glance to the left where Eraqus is screaming at the sky shouting, “Don’t take him! Not yet, his duty isn’t fulfilled yet! Please”! I could not believe it. I said that I wouldn’t give up but then again, I did.
  56. I stand up, but I’m wobbly. I fall to my knees in weakness, but use the keyblade for support. Eraqus rushes over to me. He says something but I cannot hear it. Am I truly slipping away?
  57. “What did you say?” I said, sounding confused. I heard the breeze; my hearing was back, though my perceptions of what things were had been totally set anew.
  58. “I said, are you going to make it, Shawn?!” He said, urgently. I had coughed. I knew nothing then. I understood nothing.
  59. “AHHHHH!!!!!!” I screamed, holding my head. I saw what seemed like a flashback , but was unknown to me. Then a hooded man spoke to a spiky haired boy.
  60. “One who knows nothing can understand nothing.” The voice seemed familiar in a way. I stopped screaming and just stared at the ground. I heard something again. It was a voice, Aqua’s voice.
  61. “Shawn! Shawn! Come on, look up! Please Shawn, look up!” the voice said. Then, the voice changed, and it was Eraqus’. I looked up slowly at him.
  62. As our eyes connected, I saw the terror in his eyes. He pointed up. I looked up at the sky blankly. All I saw was the sky itself, some clouds, and a………
  63. “What is that?!?!?!?!?!?!” I screamed! It hurt to breathe hard though. “Calm down, Shawn, just calm down” my voice said, soothingly. The black “hole” in the sky grew greater every moment. The wind had picked up as well. I looked at Eraqus.
  64. “What are we going to do?” he said.
  65.
  66. Chapter 4: Betrayal is Inevitable
  67. *Shane*
  68.
  69. “Ugh, we need to get stronger if we are going to defeat Xehanort!” I heard Vanitas say. He’s an idiot, saying that out loud not knowing if the master was watching could be fatal. Someone needs to shut him up, right now. Maybe sparring will do the trick.
  70. “Shut up and let’s spar already, Vanitas. I don’t need you blowing our cover anyhow. I said. He didn’t seem too fond of me pushing him around. I was, after all, better at keeping things hidden. Besides, Xehanort put me in charge of the two of us.
  71. “We can’t spar you idiot, the master stopped time for us to get into position! Come on, lets go!” he said. He sounded bored, and he probably was. Fighting was the only thing we did. With the same people, it got boring fast.
  72. We got into position but weren’t quite ready. The time stop was almost over. Only thirty seconds until the battle begun. All we had to do was fight some mouse. Was this the best the good people had to offer? Man, they must be slipping. Oh well, I haven’t really fought someone besides Vanitas ever since I was created. Time to prove myself! The time stop is gone and he talks to us. We nod at him, then at each other. We take off at full speed, after the mouse. We’re about ten feet away from him when a blue light surrounds him, and he’s shot into the air. There goes my chance ant proving myself “trustworthy” of Xehanort.
  73. I watch as tiny blue sparks still randomly appear from the mouse’s star piece. I could recognize the bulge in his pocket anywhere. I have the tendency to recognize things I have never seen or heard of before. We glance behind ourselves at Xehanort. He looks frustrated, was he waiting for a show or something? Whatever, time to have Vanitas show me how to use the unversed. This time not ordering him, but asking him I guess.
  74. As the two of us are walking back, I decide now is the time to approach him.
  75. “Hey, Vanitas? Can you show me how to control the unversed?” I said, nonchalantly. He looked over at me. I can never tell the expression of his face with that cursed helmet always on.
  76. “Maybe, when we get back I can teach you a few tricks” He said, with cockiness in his voice. I nodded, as we kept on walking.
  77. Finally, when we reached the training ground, he removed his helmet and set it gingerly on a rock. Afterwards, he shook his head, to fix his hair no doubt. I had no helmet and also, didn’t care what my hair looked like. Maybe we could exchange tips, his unversed methods and my hair saving methods. He glanced at my crossed arms.
  78. “First, uncross your arms. Second be prepared for a very heavy shock go into your body. This will hurt, but not for long.” He said.
  79. Next thing I know his hands are touching my chest and a voltage of pain is running though my body. The next few seconds feel like decades as he finally stepped away.
  80. “You now have to power to control them. Show no fear, and they will obey.” He said again. Every now and then I would unexpectedly twitch. That didn’t last very long.
  81. My body was still sore for the better part of an hour.
  82.
  83. Chapter 5: Not so Departed.
  84. *Shawn*
  85.
  86. Everything I dreamed for, about to be destroyed, and I was going with it. Terra and Aqua’s only hope, gone forever. What kind of friend am I? Ven would never have given up on them. He was inside me now, and I can’t fail him! I have to try, but what can I do stop a WHOLE world from being destroyed? I need time to think that I don’t have!
  87. I close my eyes and my brain repeats over and over, “THINK!!!!” Once again my head starts to hurt as I clutch it. I fall to me knees, then just fall over, unconscious. My dream has begun, into the future. I’m in a hooded robe, looking at……Ven? He looks different, and surrounded by monsters. I stand in front of him, and I have some winged weapon.
  88. “Go!” I said. He lifted the keyblade and pointed it at the lock. A beam had shot out of it, unlocking the door. I was forced to stay there, and destroy the monsters. I knew about these things but then again I didn’t. They were called nobodies, but how did I know that?
  89. “Ugh, it doesn’t matter” I told myself. I easily overcame them, but how? I still didn’t have the power to fight….Or did I?
  90. I awoke no less that a few seconds later because Eraqus was still looking at me in shock. I shook my head. Was that true, can I seal this thing away? I asked Ven inside me. I hoped he was still here.
  91. “Ven?” my mind called, hope decreasing by every silent moment. No answer. Maybe……maybe it was too late. Should I just give up? Can I just let go of the fact my sister will perish, and it’s my fault? A hand touched my shoulder, and I jumped from my dream world. I look to my sides and there stood Ven and Eraqus.
  92. “Ven, is what I saw true? Can we seal this thing forever?” I said. He looked down and sideways. Great, even he didn’t know.
  93. “I don’t know, but it’s worth a shot” He screamed. He did because the wind had become so loud. The three of us had raised our keyblades, Eraqus a little bit behind us. In the end, the three beams emanating from our keyblades merged. This created the perfect size “key” beam. It had revealed and locked the dark storm. The weather had ceased but the color had not.
  94. “We did it. This place is safe for now” Eraqus said, and nodded. For the third time today, I fell to my knees. This time, both hands were clutching my head. I had literally gone unconscious by the pain before the usual time. My dream world was a dark town with many skyscrapers. There was a voice, and it sounded like Ven’s. I look over, and another guy is telling some “Roxas” to not leave the “organization”. The only other person there was Ven, but it wasn’t him. He looked different, more frustrated. Why is he calling Ven Roxas?
  95. “No one would miss me” “Roxas” said. I stood there, on a mini skyscraper, astonished. I was about to start screaming when someone covered my mouth.
  96. “Shh! don’t disrupt the future, I can read your mind. You can’t do this; you need to go home now.” This figure said. I looked up and shook my head.
  97. “I don’t know how to go home, and who are you anyways?!” I said in a hushed voice. I looked around again. Where were we and why is it dark?! I need answers.
  98. “Look, you just have to…..
  99. “Where are we, and who are you?! Tell me! I screamed. I blew over the top. It was too much.
  100. “Shut up! My name is Riku, any you’re in the town that never was!” He said in a hushed voice. I was astonished. That voice was familiar. Yet I had never heard of it. He was hooded.
  101. “Take off your hood. I need to see something.”
  102. “Even if you want to see if I am who I say, I’m blindfolded. You’re just wasting your time.
  103.
  104. Chapter 6: Brains, not Brawn
  105. *Terra*
  106.
  107. “Xehanort, free us so I can finish this, now!” I said furiously. If it weren’t for Vanitas and Shane, this would not have happened! I started screaming, but to no avail. Screaming like an ape doesn’t work.
  108. “Terra! I said be quiet, your giving me a headache!” said Aqua. She seemed frustrated that she can’t think anymore. I had decided now was not time to scream like an ape. Nothing would happen anyways. I looked at Xehanort furiously. To help Aqua, that’s all I could do. I sat down in our “prison”. Just time to think. Maybe I could work on my attack patterns, so I can have the upper hand.
  109. “Aqua…..I’m sorry for screaming. I just… I just can’t believe we let him get the best of us that easily. Please forgive me.” I said.
  110. “Terra, just be quiet so I can think. I’m sorry I yelled too, but you were being irrational.” She said caringly. She usually knew what to say, and what to do. I could really learn from her. Xehanort just looked at me, and laughed. He put his hands together and did a backwards clap. The bubble expanded to 3 times the original size at least!
  111. “Fight.” Xehanort said. I spin around to see Aqua surrounded by darkness. She has no control of her body except for her mouth, eyes, and ears. I already knew what kind of trouble I was in. She lunged at me screaming in terror. Her attacks were unrelenting, never stopping or slowing down. I pulled out my keyblade, but why? Would I really raise my keyblade on my friend, or would I just hit the darkness?
  112. “Terra, just finish me now! If it’s over quick, maybe I won’t remember it!” She screamed.
  113. “Never, Aqua! I can never do that! If I do, I could never forgive myself!” I yelled back. I just kept blocking, dodging, and feeling the pain. I just told myself, “Don’t give up. Just take the pain, and keep on going.” Though we were moving at high speeds, I could see where the darkness originated from, a small keyhole-shaped emblem by the breastplate. Or was it an emblem? This may be the kind of thing I need. Spot out the ins and outs of the situation. If I figure things out first, maybe I can end things quickly. I jumped back to the edge of the prison, and pointed my keyblade at the keyhole. The light key shot out at the emblem at high speeds, but it missed. She was faster, and I might just be finished with. Is Xehanort testing me? Why would he do this now when he could enjoy destroying us on his own?
  114. “XEHANORT!!!!!!!!!” I yelled. The darkness overtook me as well, but it wasn’t his. It was my darkness. I couldn’t control it; I was to be consumed by darkness. Then I realized, I was the equal of Aqua. My mind was racing, and I reset my system. Next thing I know, the light pierced the darkness, and I held Aqua in a fist of light. I aimed the keyblade at her. The column of light shot out, but it ended right there. My mind repeated the question: What if I kill Aqua? I thought of Ven and Shawn.
  115. “Have faith, Terra,” they said in unison. “We believe in you, and so does Aqua. Trust yourself, and save her.” They said. I shook the thoughts and once again aimed the key at her. The light shot out and pierced the darkness. Aqua collapsed to the ground. I fell to my knees. The light also fled from my body. Was I a neutral being? What am I?
  116. Everything went black. I looked forward into the everlasting darkness, and saw light. Light will always shine. For when the darkness consumes all, the true light will shine and return. For even in the deepest darkness, the light will find its way back. I move toward the light. I don’t walk, or even slide towards it, I just move. Apparently, the light was my way back to consciousness. I open my eyes and Aqua is there, looking scared. I blink several times then sit up. I try to stand up, but fall again. Aqua is at my side saying something. Aqua is enveloped by darkness again, but it’s not in a humanoid shape, but an elongated circle making its way towards the edge of bubble. It can leave the prison but I cannot. What is happening?
  117.
  118. Chapter 7: The new trio
  119. *Shawn*
  120.
  121. I look at Riku. He glances towards me at smiles. I’m confused. I need to know why I’m here and he won’t tell me!
  122. “Look. I believe that you’re this Riku guy but why am I here? How did I get here and how can I go back?” I said. I got more frustrated by the minute. Patience is not one of my aspects.
  123. “I need to show you something, confirmation. You need to know that everything that is happening will happen for a reason. I have visions. I saw what Shane sees. I just want to tell you that something bad may happen, but Xehanort will be defeated.” He said. It was too much. I had just fallen to my knees. Why, why was I being tortured?
  124. “Follow me, and stick close. Watch your step.” He said. He created a dark portal. I followed him. We were viewing a future Riku and some “Sora” as they destroy a future Xehanort. I looked nothing like him. Riku explained to me what was going to happen. Dead, they would be all dead. I couldn’t bare it; Riku threw me through the portal again. On the other side, I started screaming.
  125. “Calm down, alright?! There’s a chance you can change this! Just listen. When you return home, you’ll find 3 people waiting for you; Nick, Joey, and Tim. Tell them you know Riku and need their help. With them, you four can change the future.” He said. I was listening intently. I needed to know this. I asked him how to return home. He looked at me and said that I needed to create my own portal. He said focus all my power (whether light or dark), think of the place to go, and create it. I must have faith he said.
  126. I focused all my thoughts into one place and time: Right before I had fell unconscious, land of departure. I wake up, and see that there is a new portal in the sky. Ventus and Eraqus are by me, but looking at the portal. I get up and look. Three figures in more keyblade armor were plummeting to the sky. Nick, Joey, and Tim! That must be them!
  127. They had hit the ground pretty hard. Eraqus tended to them, while Ven had been asking me about being unconscious. I only told him what I thought to be the truth. So I had only told him I knew the coming of the three, and their names. I looked over and saw that one of the trios was stirring. I walked over to him. All of their keyblade armor had disappeared. I could see the one’s stirring face. He had straight black hair. It was medium hair too. I looked at his face and saw more than some just random guy. What I saw was familiar, like a friend familiar.
  128. I kneeled toward him. His eyes had slowly opened. As soon as his eyes opened, I stood up, and walked back saying: “Tim”. How did I know this? This is not possible. It can’t be right. I’m not his friend already am I? He looked at me with surprise. Did he know me? Or did he feel the same as I? I needed answers again.
  129. “Where, where am I? Is there a……..Shawn here?” He asked, looking straight at me. He knew who I was. His stare was penetrating my soul, and I knew there was something about this guy that would change my outlook on the worlds. I sat over on a bench and I just looked up. Somewhere out there, Terra and Aqua needed us. Maybe I could fast forward to the future! I focus on the time when Tim, Joey, and Nick are awake. A portal of darkness had opened. Eraqus stared in disbelief. Was another pupil being forced into dark ways? I walked through the portal and I didn’t change in time, but just on the other side of the trio. When I walk through the portal, I can still see my original portal. Tim went back to being unconscious though. Maybe the portal I created had also been helped out by Riku. Am I hopeless?

  131. Chapter 8: Test of strength.
  132.
  133. I, Xehanort will finally see the true potential of Terra, and possibly even Aqua. I had forced Aqua out of her and Terra’s prison and held her in a prism of darkness. I had called Shane and Vanitas for a battle. I told them to strike Aqua down, but not to take her life. I released Aqua, and they went down to business. Aqua had been easily able to hold both of them off.
  134. “Take any necessary measures now!!!” I yelled.
