  1. Luna explained that just as 'Good' exists in the Meta via Blessings, so too does 'Evil', via Curses - the opposite of Blessings. Negative emotions and drives, and emotions and drives that foster negative emotions in others. Hate. Guilt. Pain. Sorrow. All these feelings create Curses, a tangible, but yet invisble, aspect of existence, tied to two divines goddesses who master the universe beyond all other universes alongside their sisters. If Nanami couldn't form great power from her Blessings, perhaps she could from her Curses! As such, Luna rebuilt the Array a second time, but to harness Curses rather than Blessings, and told Nanami to focus all her negativity into the array, her sorrow, her hate, her frustration, her impatience, every negative feeling this war had born into her - especially when they were separate from positive feelings. The array functioned once more, but to Nanami's sorrow and Luna's frustrations, it did nothing but change the hue of her water to a dull grayish color, for all of Nanami's curses were diluted with her empathy and passion for the people of her Shard, none of them were truly born solely from a Curse. Luna begged Nanami to stay, and that they could find another way if they just kept trying, but Nanami had grown impatient, and stormed to try and save her world, leaving Luna behind. Luna couldn't fathom how Nanami could have a heart completely absent of any true Curses, she couldn't comprehend a life without some deep resentment, sorrow, or disillusionment with the world, and, combined with seeing a person she cared about storm off, all while she wanted to help her, upset Luna greatly. Nanami returned to her world and attempted to face the Forbidden Sea herself, with the power she had developed, but was horribly wounded, and it meant little. Her boyfriend rescued her, but she was still angry with him, and he was still being extremely aloof and harsh towards her, even calling her an idiot for rushing in like that. Nanami was left in critical condition and seemed to have no hope of stopping the Forbidden Sea, and so despair started to well up inside her heart. It was that night when a group of mysterious figures appeared in her home village, where she was recovering, women in cloaks and masks, who arrived to tell Nanami that "Master Luna" has found a way to solve the tragedy that her world was steeped in, and while Nanami was anxious due to the temperament and appearance of these women, she was so full of despair over her failure and her failing body that she accepted their offer, and so spirited her away into the night.
