PERSONALITY: Jade has a very laid back and cool personality. She comes off as a cold girl who looks conceited just by first glance, but is actually very nice and friendly. She is quiet and somewhat shy but likes to give off a feel that she is a strong independent girl. She is a very open minded person who loves to meet new people but because of her intimidating appearance, not many people get close to her, though she tries her best to socialize and loves to laugh. She loves to look out for others and make people feel better and is known as the groups therapist and main source of moral support. Because she is empathetic, you will find that she is a very sweet girl who just wants the best for the people she is close to and loves. She isn't very loud even though her appearance is, and loves to listen rather then talk.  And although she seems like a pretty confident person, she is also self conscious of herself surprisingly. She wears a lot of makeup due to being self conscious of her natural face, especially with the high standards that are portrayed in Korea. In some ways she is very emotional, as she feels she isn't good enough in certain areas or aspects of herself, but would only tell those close to her about it (all the comet members know). Other than that, when preforming, all the ambitiousness and stage presence she holds is a whole different confident aspect, as that's what she loves and feels she is best at. She is very dedicated to things that she is passionate about which is why she found her passion of dancing and even choreographs dances for the group, which also brings out the creative side of her. She loves to come up with new things and ideas everyday and is so creative she decides to put the ideas into her outer appearance as well, which is another reason why she wears makeup and loves dyeing her hair as well as loves fashion. Jade feels comfortable expressing her creativeness through her safe haven which is covering or changing her outer appearance, because it gives her security and comfort, as it is what she is most self conscious about. Although her appearance can be different every other day depending on how creative she is feeling, she is always the same sweet and laid back girl that loves to laugh with her friends. Jade in general is a slightly shy and kept together girl who is friendly and dorky, but has many other layers to her as well. It also takes a lot to get her mad or annoyed as she loves and treats everyone with respect and is very patient. And although she is patient, she can get jealous really easily especially when it comes to relationships, and requires a lot of attention. BACKGROUND: Jade was born in New York, New York to a Full Korean Father and a full American mother and has an older brother. She grew up in America where she found her passion for dancing, singing, and modeling. She grew up having a lot of friends in grade school and high school and even started her own YouTube channel where she did dance routines, makeup tutorials, and blogs about her daily life that had gained about 3 million subscribers. She was well known for her love for Korean music and dancing as she was half Korean and could speak and write it fluently because her father had kept that culture in her family while she was growing up, and they frequently went to South Korea to see her fathers side of the family. She was scouted by YG entertainment at her school while performing a dance routine for the club she was in when she was 17. From there, she thought about going to Korea to pursue her dream of dancing and her mother and father were very supportive as they loved music and Korean culture as a whole. But because her mother and father had good paying and prosperous jobs in the US while working in the medical field, they would not be able to move with Jade to South Korea but supported her 100% and wanted her to pursue her dream. Her brother at the time was in college to pursue his medical career as well, so therefore did not go to Korea either and still lives in America now with their parents. Jade moved to Seoul, South Korea alone, where she went to school and trained and lived. Her fathers family lives in Busan and would frequently check up on her, but other then that, had trained alone. She auditioned for YG entertainment and was accepted as a trainee at the age of 17. She trained for the remainder of time before being one of the uncovered idols that was, and is to debut in COMET.

Jade trained in YG entertainment for 5 years.
PRE-DEBUT: what did she do before she was officially set to debut?
She was training and was going to debut in BLACKPINK, but was told she would be used for a bigger purpose. During her training, she had helped choreograph some dances throughout the YG industry, like BLACKPINK's Playing With Fire, as well as helped with iKON's BLING BLING and RYTHMTA, and even did more recent songs like WINNER's EVERYDAY.
HOW SHE BEGAN TRAINING AT YG/JYP : how did she start training? audition? scouting? friend in the company?
Jade was scouted by YG Entertainment through her high school in America and was asked to be auditioned in South Korea where she was accepted as a trainee under YG.


STAGE PERSONA: how she acts like on-stage, performing and in front of the fans
On stage, Jade is very charismatic and confident. She try's to give her best effort on stage as that is where she feels most confident. Most would say her stage presence is very big and grabs your attention immediately, as she works hard to make her talents known and own the stage. After preforming, she is still very confident and doesn't look shy or blushy at all, and even gives a lot of fan service as she feels that the love and support her and the group get, needs to be given back.

He was scared to talk to her because she looks bold and like she was to good for him. He was a blushing mess as he thought she was really pretty and cool. He also wanted to get close and talk to her but was embarrassed of getting rejected, and every time he seemed to get closer, she would move away.
HER FIRST IMPRESSION:
She saw him and had to admit he was cute. She loves how awkward and dorky he looked and was high key blushing at the handsomeness she saw in not only him but the whole group. When she realized he kept getting closer and others were starting to converse, she was very shy and kept scooting away trying to make herself seem busy or she would be a stuttering mess in front of him if they talked.
